We were quite impressed it’s HC at the outset, a new(ish) company in Hucknall who obviously wanted to make an impression. Photos were well taken and we received an offer quickly. However this was as good as it got for us, with 2 unsuccessful attempts to even put up the for sale sign! Throughout the process there was a lack of urgency, with my requests for regular updates regularly rebuffed despite their assurances they would do so. 10 months later and we finally completed, more through each buyer communicating with each other as opposed to through HC. Even on the day of completion, they were unaware of my solicitor’s name and office. The office staff are nice and polite on the whole, but the company seems to have bitten off more than it could chew in trying to gain a foothold in the area. Too many properties to market to maintain interest when the going gets tough I’m afraid. Oh, and in the week after I finally moved house, I was still receiving emails re houses I may be interested in.

I have just completed a purchase of a property on the market with HoldenCopley, and I couldn't have been more happy with the process and service they have provided. From the moment we first talked, to the first viewing and everything beyond - it has been stellar. In particular Emma and Lewis who have just gone above and beyond what I expected during the process. Lewis consistently was friendly, polite and helpful during viewing and Emma has always been on hand and available if I had any questions about anything - even taking it upon herself to pursue things with solicitors on my behalf. We have now sold two properties with Holden Copley, one in 2019 and most recently in August 2024. Our first experience was excellent and they were professional, proactive and personable. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our most recent experience. Our sales progressor had very limited contact with ourselves and our solicitor, and as a result was often not up-to-date with developments, which was counterproductive and often added more stress to our selling experience. Majority of our updates happened directly between ourselves and our buyer as a result of the lacking communication, and we often felt that we were taking on the burden of progressing our sale, which we did not feel should have been necessary. We would like to mention that Adam Walker-Brown and Jack at the Hucknall office were extremely friendly, diligent and professional when marketing our property and accepting viewings. It is a shame that the sales progression side let down our overall experience.

From the initial visit from Chris (Banting), through the ongoing negotiating with Nicola (Cook) and the sales progression with Georgia (Argyle) they have shown themselves to be professional, honest and customer focused. From initial visit to sale agreed was just over 4 weeks! The service from friendly clear quote, excellent photos and brochure (with the 360 tour), EPC cert, viewings booking (and management) to sales agreed was nice and easy. The adverts on their site and other sales sites stood out.
