My partner and I went through the process of purchasing a property which was being sold via Brand Vaughn. Overall, I would recommend Brand Vaughan and use them when it comes to selling my place. The team were all professional and helpful although there were initial problems with communication when we made an offer and they didn’t get back to us for a while when they said they would but after this process things ran a lot smoother which is largely down to Karen Franks (Senior Sales Progressor) she was so helpful, really friendly and was always professional. She kept us updated, our calls or emails were always returned quickly and she helped coordinate things when workmen had to go to the property. Karen made the whole process less stressful, which my partner and I are very grateful for and is the reason I am giving 5 stars instead of 4.

Amazing service from Helen Pope!!! Cannot thank Helen enough! She provided me with the best service. Her attention to detail was fantastic and she really had the tenants best interest at heart which is more than I can say about any other company I have ever used. Brand Vaughan go above and beyond normal Estate Agents I have dealt with. As we are not in Brighton and with an extremely troubled set of circumstances, they have supported every step of the way. There have been many, many unpredictable difficulties with our property like getting access and getting it ready for renting. All the staff are always so obliging. In particular, Helen has been a rock of support and still remained calm and reassuring, despite the issues she resolved were not within her job responsibilities. What was extremely helpful was that when things popped up, not only did she report it to us, she also had spoken to trades men and had various options were always open to us! She took full responsibility on all matters diligently. We could not have done it without her! She has demonstrated beyond doubt excellent customer service and has gone the extra mile. A real asset to the company. I also would like to comment about what a lovely bunch of people in one company. Brand Vaughan were initially recommended to us and I can see why. Thanks Brand Vaughan!

Best sales agency I've dealt with, and I've dealt with a few! From top management down to the younger "apprentices", all are polite, honest, knowledgeable and efficient. The house was well marketed and the agents worked hard to close the sale. The sale took much longer than anticipated due to issues at the bottom of the chain but comms were excellent from BV every step of the way and they kept the vacant house fully safe and secure. Thoroughly recommended!

Coming from overseas we rented a flat for 1.5 years with Brand Vaughan before buying a house in Hove. What can I say? Our experience with Brand Vaughan was disappointed beginning to end. Not only the staff is unprofessional, unfriendly and unhelpful (they left us for over a months over Christmas without heating with two little kids ignoring our emails/calls about a broken boiler, just dumping 3 little blow heaters into our flat). No, they also tried to keep/steal our deposit with no legal ground. Thanks to “deposit scheme” we eventually had to pay £300 instead of £1650. We very much felt that it is common practice to keep disproportionately amounts of the deposit for tiny/wear and tear or even old damages in order to make money hoping people don’t bother/have the time/dare to involve deposit scheme and question it.

My experience of Brand Vaughan Hove branch was first rate. From the manager (Jimmy) to the sales team (George and Kieran) and the coordinator of the sales process (Jamie) i felt the whole team were excellent and tried to go the extra mile to secure the best possible price for my flat sale. The phones were always answered compared to some agents where calls go to voicemail and there was a wonderful team approach which was refreshing compared to other agents.

Probably the worst rental agents in Brighton

I cannot even begin to describe all of the rental issues with this company; but here are a few:- left me without a working toilet for 2 weeks- left me without a working boiler for over 2 weeks- when I moved in there was a huge leak from the bathroom into the kitchen and NONE of the appliances worked. The front lawn was strewn with rubbish. Their response was that it was not urgent and that they don't check appliances when a new person moves in. Yet I got a 3 page letter when I moved in citing a long list of reasons why I could be fined £120 them. The letter also stated that when I move out the chimney needs to be swept and the garden left in good order, yet neither of these were done for me when I moved in.- Recently my heating didn't work so I reported it. This was listed as "not urgent and can take up to 28 days to send someone out".I have caught them out lying many times as they contradicted themselves about what the property owner was saying.When the time came to move out, I read up on my rights and I knew that after 5 years they could not charge me to paint the home (which wasn't done when I moved in), but they still tried. They also tried to charge me for 2 extra weeks as they thought that I would remember my moving date. I did, as it was Sept 11th, which was an apt date to move in to that awful place - so I did remember. Extremely dishonest and shady.

Dealing with state agents can be very stressful and frustrating, especially when they don’t return your calls and you have to chase them to get information when you are trying to buy/sell a property. My experience with Brand Vaughan was completely different. The Hove branch is a dream team. A very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable bunch of guys who cannot do enough for the client, in particular Jimmy Atkinson who was extremely professional and kept me on the loop of every single detail when I was selling my property. Their marketing is by far the best one in the area. The descriptions of the properties they have for sale are contemporary, engaging and are complemented by stylish photography. If you want to sell your property do not hesitate to use them and if you are looking to buy one, keep your fingers crossed and hope you have to deal with them.

My husband and I have rented a flat in Hove through Cambridge Residential for three years. We have been particularly impressed with the Property Managers who work there. Carmen has recently been superb: quick to respond, friendly and a pleasure to deal with in getting us new appliances fitted. Before she was assigned to the flat we dealt with Sarah and she was also excellent. We have rented through several companies in many cities over the years and the professional service provided by these two sets Cambridge Residential apart from the rest. After 4 years we've just left our property, and were finally managed by Jamie who got our deposit back really quickly and kept in touch with us throuout. We would highly recommend the whole company.

The landlord asked me to leave at the end of 6.th month of my tenancy and I informed the agency that I am going to leave the property even a week before the end of the tenancy but they still asked me to pay the days that I didn’t use the property. I am pretty sure they were in coordination with the landlord to overcharge me, I would strongly advise to to avoid this company
