Shocking service provided

Shocking service provided. Complete lack of communication. They promise to email by a certain time and never do. Have not received keys ahead of moving in date. Lost the deposit and first months rent I sent to them. They can’t be bothered to call or email back. Do not have keys or information about the property I am moving into in a days time - looking like I will be left without keys ahead of move in date.

The agency was extremely kind and helpful. Due to personal reasons I had to find a house as soon as possible and they were able not only to find one, but offer other alternatives close by when I asked them for more options. Everything was sorted out within a week. I will make sure to recommend this agency to all my friends at uni. Brand Vaughn were professional during my 18 month tenancy, there were issues with the accomodation and Charley did every thing she could to help and was very supportive. I would recommend anyone moving into a new build makes sure they are clear on who are serving their utilities and that the building has been registered with BT, water company electric and gas as these were major problems for me, nothing to do with Brand Vaughn per say but it did cause problems during my tenancy. Also be clear about what will be expected of your rent payments, I had to pay a year of '6 months in advance' which felt a bit OTT considering I had payed a deposit and had already proved I could pay the rent.

Me and my room mates are still in the process of trying to rent a property but have been supported through the journey to an incredible degree by the staff at Brand Vaughan, especially Ollie as we have been emailing back and forth any time we have had questions, we have received quick and very helpful responses from him. Amazing amazing customer care. I couldn’t recommend any other estate agent more. This process was very daunting at the beginning but they have made it so easy for us and that’s coming from the lead Tennant. When we had our house viewings we had about 5/6 in one day and as None of us can drive, the estate agent drove us to all of the viewings which we are really grateful for, I never got his name but thank you so much to everyone who has been involved with us. Brand Vaughan has a 4/5 review - I should have dug deeper into 'tenants' reviews.If you do not, expect to be treated as a necessary inconvenience.If you are to use them, document/photograph and share everything little issue you can at the start of your tenancy. Why?They will try to fleece your deposit for overpriced repairs, cleaning, and other unnecessary charges.Also, they have little regard for your privacy, your needs, and your rights as a tenant and will frequently give you little or no warning when gaining or giving access to your rented home.

The flat we found through Michon Mackay…

The flat we found through Michon Mackay was beautiful and the move in process was especially smooth. I encountered a few personal problems throughout my 14 month tenancy which they were generally supportive with. The only thing I would recommend for improvement on was the maintenance of the flat, as I requested a couple things to be fixed which never got done. However, I'm not actually sure if this was due to the estate agents or the landlord, to be fair! More transparency with regards to what a break clause was would have been nice as well (not all of us are estate agents). Otherwise satisfied.

David Vaughan is the most honest estate agent I've ever met.

David Vaughan is, without doubt, the most honest and straightforward estate agent I have ever met. This is after five house moves. I had a glorious 1835 seafront property on sale with numerous agents at around £425. All failed until I left it with Brand Vaughan. David offered the most amazing commission rate of all the estate agents, the pictures his professional photographer took were just astounding - particularly of the bathroom, which I had spent £15,000 on completely redoing, even down to the damp course, and restored myself to the original 1835 plan - it looked amazing and I was very proud of it. Under floor heating, black and white theme throughout - and all Victorian fittings. Unfortunately I didn't know when I moved here that Brighton is the 'creative capital' of the country - even ahead of London - and I found it impossible to get work during my six years living here. There is a big homeless problem, and I think with this COVID virus, that Brighton - as the tourist capital of the country is really feeling the brunt. So I'm away for a while having suffered a number of epileptic seizures when I moved in. Luckily I had the presence of mind to call David from hospital to ask about any potential jobs doing anything - he blew me away so much with his honesty - and with 25 years of experience carrying out all marketing for the likes of MINI (BMW), Peugeot, Volvo, cage fighter Alex Reid, Kellogg's Walkers, M&S and Gary Lineker, I know I can work wonders for the Brand Vaughan brand. I know all of the viewing staff as friends already from the many viewings David secured immediately, and I have to completely believe in a brand - and it's management before I agree to promote it. David is not only a lovely bloke, but incredibly and refreshingly honest, I can't recommend Brand Vaughan highly enough. If you're after any property in Brighton, David will find it for you.

We live in the USA and were selling my parents house in Brighton. We had only fifteen minutes to meet with Chris P initially when we were deciding whether to put it on. the market or not. We were struck by his professionalism and the feeling that he would do the best job for us that he could. He met all deadlines in sending us things and was both easy to get hold of and responsive. We also had some dealings with Tom who was also very good. In the present Covid-19 chaos, Chris was absolutely superb and did everything he could to ensure that the sale went through. We cannot recommend him and the firm more highly.

From the start this company really showed that they were going to be hell for the time we were renting the place. Within the first month documents were all over the place, and after having about 8 voided due to incorrect rent amounts, we finally had the tennancy agreement sorted. There were numerous things wrong with the house, and whenever we asked for them to send repair people over, we just had the basic reply of they'll look into it, and then never actually having anyone turn up. By the end of the year there was a disagreement on how much the last months rent would cost (11 and a half month contract) is which they tried to charge us for a full month. When confronted with us saying that that is not what we agreed to, we were met with hostility and patronization, with no apology when told that we were in the right.
