TrustpilotFull of spam and in breach of GDPR
Requested their "free" valuation on site with couple providers and made sure to check contact me via email only, within 10 seconds got over 30 calls from different numbers and messages despite saying no calls. Now they will send hundreds of letter to the address on my name that is currently tenanted and disturb my tenants making them think what is going on. Only for me to simply want to know the value. If I had known they will misuse your information and spam you I would never have opted and is clearly in breach GDPR. Now as mater of principle will go elsewhere and will not use any of them providers or use zoopla for anything.Originally I did specify to be contacted by email only instead they spammed and herased me and my tenants. Junk beign sent everyday since my zoopla enquiry and all other estates agents multiple times without any hope to stop. Also people started showing up at my tented property asking tenants to get in to do appraisal without my approval. Zoopla should be sued as class action for causing this and flagrantly braching GDPR rules! Unacceptable and totally criminal by Zoopla.

Hi SB,Thank you for your comments and for sharing your feedback. As emails are sent directly and immediately to estate agents through our website, we did not break any GDPR regulations as you supplied the data.Furthermore the phone or email is just a preference, however as you supplied your phone number this does not stop the agent phoning you.You may call the agent directly via the phone number listed in the confirmation email you received or via email through the Email agent link in the ‘Find Agents’ section of the website - and we are sure they would appreciate knowing that you are no longer interested in the valuation of your property. Many thanks,Zoopla Support

TrustpilotWhat a dreadful website
What a dreadful website. They list most properties incorrectly, and then won't change the details even when you send proof.I bought my house in 2021, it was listed on Rightmove and Zoopla as a 4 bedroom. It was listed with land registry as a 4 bedroom. Yes Zoopla has it as a 3 bedroom. I have pointed this out and they refuse to do anything.

That way, you won't need to tell us if we've got something wrong. TrustpilotI am tired of the no responses, and sheer favouritism
I am tired of the no responses. Me and my partner have been trying to find a better house for our child and have been applying for a different one every few day days, for over a year. No matter what we do we get no responses. It is a joke that you advertise and tell people to fill a form, then when we chack on the status it has been let or that it is no longer available. Cant say its pot luck either as we damn near apply for every house that comes on. Sick of this , starting to think you are just a scam, or shady tactics, we had money for a house and applied fair and square, then they took the house off the site without notifying us , and had contacted them and they said "sorry, the agent decided to rent it out to his friend" im thinking what world are we living in? Fix this. Such sheer lack of communication. Needs fixing ASAP.

TrustpilotHow to lose a client by Zoopla!!
As a letting agent we have used Zoopla for many years. Overall we have been happy with them although the leads have never been as strong as the other main provider we use. We decided to stop using them for a brief six month period and just remain with the other main portal and see how we got on. Everyone is feeling the pinch and we are no different. I asked that they leave us in peace (after they harassed us for weeks offering lower and lower charges, which we said thanks but no thanks to). I literally asked them (about 4 times) to just respect our decision and stop with the calls and emails as they were bordering on harassment. Call me old school if you will, but I don’t consider this to be a good business practise to be bombarded by emails and calls when all I’ve asked is to be left alone and to call me in April 2023 at which point we may have returned. Now, to date we have received 3 more calls and 4 more emails and the harassment continues. I can categorically say we WILL NEVER return now. So well done Zoopla for royally messing up a perfectly good relationship when we just wanted a small break now you will never get us back again. Ridiculous and unnecessary protocols.

I was looking to rent a 1 bedroom flat at Theobald Road, Borehamwood. The agent called me in the morning for viewing at 6:00 pm, is all booked, said to him to send me the confirmation, and he said is all done. After I called him just 1 hour before viewing for confirmation, again hi confirmed is ok and all booked. I was waiting for him at 6 p.m. at theobald road for about half and hour and No call, no full address, and the agent didn’t pick up the phone. This is very unprofessional, no responsibility. This is the worst experience and the agent ever. I will try to find his name out and let everyone know about him.

In 1 and half week they sold it without any update, or any email or just let us know that viewing was cancelled.... cheeky company . Also know who they sold it to so it was cash to the property dealer for selling it exactly to them. So if ou about to bu house here, make sure u have some spare £ for dealers pocket, otherwise u have no chance.

A terrible company with terrible ethics.Avoid working with them. You’re better off listing your properties with RightMove or any other company.Like others have also said, they miss-sell what they will do for you and what you will be paying for. In our instance, they told us we could try it for 6 months to see if it was any use (it wasn’t) and then they charged us for 12 months - even though they didn’t list any of our properties. They didn’t help us at all. Their customer service is non-existent and their sales staff miss-sell products which they must know are of no use to you.You want to work with companies who understand your needs and help you to grow. Zoopla are self-serving opportunists who will kill you for a fast buck.Avoid them, heed the reviews and save yourself a headache.

TrustpilotMiss-selling business, small businesses should avoid
I opened account with Zoopla in February with a lovely gentleman named T. and was quickly explained that my subscription will be automatically renewed on on-roling 30 days contract but if I would like to cancel it all I will have to do is let T. know and he shall get it sorted for me. I had account for Zoopla commercial and the account was closed after I didn't need it as T. explained so in the month my contract should end I rang T. to cancel my contract but my calls were unanswered. In a few days I emailed Zoopla advising I would like to cancel my subscription and then I was informed my contract was automatically extended for another 6 months. I contacted Zoopla many times from abroad and asked for contact by someone to explain this misunderstanding as I only had three houses to sell what I explained to T. in February anyways. I am not trading anymore as I moved back to Poland in July, I am no longer certified member of The Property Ombudsman but yet Zoopla explains I will be billed until end of my contract that was basically mis-sold by someone who seems is no longer working for them. My advise is to avoid them if you run a small business as you might end up paying for services because they do not understand you might change the profession.

Hi Darren,Thanks for getting in touch and for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you feel this way. All the for sale/to rent information on Zoopla is provided to us by the estate agents advertising the properties who are subject to our terms and conditions and code of conduct. When the status of their properties changes to either 'let' or ‘sold’, we request they mark the property as 'Let agreed' or ‘Sold STC’ on Zoopla if this is the case, but unfortunately, it seems sometimes this is not always done immediately resulting in our users finding listings in search results they did not expect.Listings generally take no longer than 24 hours to disappear from the website after the agent has requested its removal unless there was a technical error which we would be able to confirm. Our aim is to ensure that all information on our site is as comprehensive and accurate as possible so next time you see this, it would be very helpful if you could click ‘Report this listing’ on the listing’s page (on the desktop site). Here is a Help Centre article discussing how to report a listing, in greater detail:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360006033017We will then investigate the issue further by speaking to the agent advertising the property. Also, as you have correctly noticed, our users are now asked to log in to see the house price estimate and timeline for a property on a property details page, or in our House Prices area. This change is to encourage users like yourself to be logged in when you use Zoopla, so that you can get the most out of the best experience we have to offer. I used Zoopla to search for a studio apartment in Kensington, which is the costliest area in London. However, I found an agency named Spacelet offering half the rate. When I expressed interest, I immediately received a response asking for money to register on their website. I realized soon that SPACELET WAS A SCAM, those properties never existed and the advts were on Zoopla since March 2022. If Zoopla encourages scammers, then Zoopla got to be a scam too.

TrustpilotSeriously out of date data used.
Not sure what Zoopla are up to, in their recent update of prices and data feeds they seem to have reverted to years old data.DO NOT claim to use Land Registry data as your basis, you might be using a five year old copy but your data on such things as tenure does not align. If it were personal data you’d be in serious breach of GDPR.Our house has been Freehold since we purchased the freehold reversion in 2018, you used to correctly show that as does the Land Registry, but in your recent update you switched back incorrectly to leasehold. This does make a difference to the price estimates, freehold houses go for £20-30k more than leasehold round here yet your guess is in-line with leasehold houses, so you are showing a much lower value.

TrustpilotIncorrect property sale information - now corrected.
Upon checking the property details of my property on Zoopla I was shocked to see them list it as having been sold 2 years ago when in fact it was never marketed and no sale has taken place after I bought the property 4 years ago. I checked with Land Registry and other on-line websites to thankfully confirm that I was, and still remain the current owner. You can understand the scare that this could cause to see that a house you own may have been sold without your knowledge. Please Zoopla get your act together and get your data bases corrected.MikeUpdate: DM received from Zoopla and I have replied giving address of property so that they may check and hopefully update their database against HM Land Registry details.Further update: Following communication from the Customer Support Manager at Zoopla I wish to say thank you for quickly responding to my reported concerns and correcting my property data and removing the erroneous property sale data.

My property used to be listed on Zoopla correctly as a detached house then at some point the listing changed to a terraced property. I wrote to Zoopla who told me that they couldn't change it. The only way they could change it is if an estate agent advises them. I said that a quick search on Google Earth would prove my point. A typical case of computer says no. If only the council would base my community charge on Zoopla's computer record. Thanks for the reply Zoopla computer. It is pretty much the same one I got a couple of years ago. TrustpilotTotally inaccurate.
Updated back to one star, as the stupidly inaccurate estimate is back again. Regarding the reply, I am of course fully aware i can cat a valuation from an estate agent, however I would expect Zoopla to have an accurate algorithm / mechanism in place by now to deal with situations like this. Vey poor technology in this company.---------------------------------------------------------Updated to three stars because at least my house now shows as "No estimate available" rather than massively below it's market value.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Zoopla have the value of my house entirely wrong, and offer no way to correct this. Their FAQ details a methodology which may be appropriate for locations where all houses are similar, but is useless for my situation.A sensible approach would be to allow one of "their" estate agents to value the property and override the valuation provided by their automated system, but they nore not able to do this.-----------------------------------------Response to the reply below:1) Obviously I can contact an agent and get an accurate valuation for my home. But your site will continue to display to the world an inaccurate valuation, which i have no way of getting rectified. This could be important when I come to sell the house, since potential buyers will look it up on Zoopla.2) Whilst Hometrack data may be used by 85% of mortgage lenders, I doubt your claim that the rely on it. They will take a valuation from a professional. You need to stop hiding behind a generic response and address the issue. The obvious answer is to allow an estimate from one of your partner estate agents to over-ride the estimate from Hometrack.

Incorrect data despite citing using land registry. We purchased our house 10 years ago as a 4 bed 3 reception property. It has had 3 reception rooms from 1945 and this is what is on the land registry. Zoopla shows the property as a 3 bed 2 reception house. I challenged Zoopla on this discrepancy and they said there is nothing that can be done to amend to at least 1945 data never mind 2012. In sum, unreliable information on this website and poor customer service.

TrustpilotZoopla Should Be Shut Down
They have listed my new build penthouse in London from Berkley Homes as "Feudal" (an archaic system that was only in Scotland and was abolished there in 2000). The other 99 flats in my block have shown a substantial increase in value over the last 9 years, only mine has shown a drop and this is without doubt due to Zoopla's asinine and incorrect listing. I have been in contact with Zoopla by phone and email but they claim they can do nothing to correct it, even though they are fully aware and admit that the details are incorrect. This has a major impact on my being able to sell my property for a fair price (by far my most valuable asset that has taken 33 years of work to partially pay for). Shame on Zoopla, your pathetic "computer says no" attitude is essentially costing people their life savings. Silver Lake Partners that owns ZPG (Zoopla's parent company) can do something about this if they want. They are a massive investor in technology companies ($39B under management), if they want to fix the algorithm that is hurting so many ordinary people / decimating the value of their properties, they could do so easily, they just choose not to, because they can get away with it. Someone in Government needs to look into this company as they do not give a damn about the truth or protecting ordinary home owners. Their algorithm is a CON and their employees lazy robots. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING YOU READ ON THEIR SITE / SHUT THEM DOWN! Please read some of the other reviews below, you will notice Zoopla keep replying with the same pathetic response "that they can't manually change anything". They are a tech company and can change anything they like, if they had the will to do so, they just simply choose not to!

Hi Grant,Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us your feedback.Unfortunately, as stated in the email you received from us, we cannot manually change the information (property type, tenure & room numbers) we show about any property. We are, however, exploring the best ways to improve our data accuracy using automated systems. If you need any further assistance and wish to contact us directly with your feedback, you may do so via our designated Help Centre:https://help.zoopla.co.uk/Many thanks,Zoopla Support
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
