Dealt with both the rental and house buying side of Richard Kendall and all I have to say is NEVER again. Completely messed about for weeks, got lied to, passed around multiple estate agents that have no idea of anything. Today was the last straw with this company. Knowing we were travelling 30-40 mins for a house viewing and cancelling on us 10 minutes before. We were already stood outside. If the house has sold why book us to view it? Complete stupidity. They're always a good 20-30 mins late to a house viewing. Honestly the worst estate agents I have dealt with yet. I've lost all respect for this company and will actively avoid anything to do with Richard Kendall going forward. AVOID AVOID AVOID!! Honestly save yourself the hassle. There's a reason Richard Kendall have a 2.3/5 score on Trust Pilot. Good bye & good riddance to dealing with your God awful company.

From the beginning of instructing Richard Kendall to sell our home. We experience totally professional expertise. Nothing was too much trouble, everything explained to us in an amazingly informative supportive and courteous manner. Andrew from Kendalls, who visited our home to take photographs for our brochures, as well as being extremely professional and qualified, using state of the art photographic equipment, helped us to present our property to its very fullest potential, and gave us lots of tips regarding the very best photographic profile. He was extremely patient, working tirelessly on our behalf, producing a high class brochure. Liz Cooke helped us throughout the process, amazingly professional, determined stalwart to give us the very best experience, ensuring we were kept well informed throughout, liaising with solicitors and our buyer's solicitors to ensure seamless communication to all. Liz is one in a million!! I have never come across such a hardworking individual within an estate agent practice and this was my 7th Purchase and Sale in a period of over 30 years. You know that you can totally trust and rely on the staff and company completely. Ours was a complex sale but Liz worked diligently on our behalf the whole time, to ensure the sale went through. Buying and Selling properties, is such an awfully stressful and challenge experience to go through, but Liz, Andrew and all the staff at RK, did everything they could for us to reduce stress, help and support us the entire time. Worst Renting Experience

One of the worst renting experience. Property Address: 27 Finkin Lane, Wf3 4NJThe story starts with Richard kendalls agent showing us a property and had zero knowledge about it. The guy showed the house and a garage. Considering the space of the garage and the house, we put up the application and offered extra rent to acquire the property. Little did we know what we are stepping into. As soon as we gave a notice to our previous landlord about leaving the property and close to move in date, Richard Kendalls Agent "Alice Duckett" said, we are sorry to show you the garage but we can't give you the garage. We had no option but to move in with no garage and same extra rent. Right after we moved in, the walls of the property starts to get wet. I contacted Alice Duckett from Richard Kendalls Horbury Office about the situation and she with the landlady put a blame on us and said, you guys are drying clothes in there and that is causing those wet walls. However, that wasn't true as after some time, the water starts dripping from the ceiling. Upon putting pressue and involving the council to sort this issue, we came to know that the chimney top is damaged and water is coming from a big hole. Richard Kendalls and the Landlady "Alex" knew about it and they tried hiding that by applying fresh paint.I found some proofs of it online when I searched the property address later and the pictures came out. There were clear water leaks visible on the walls of the rooms and living room. I tried reporting this issue for months as the property feels super wet and we couldn't heat the property properly. My wife was pregnant and the cold was really unbearable. The council came in, did the inspection and really did noting else other then just sending a notice to the landlady and never followed back as well. A few months gone by and we passed the winter time and then came another issue, the BEES flooding in to our living room in numbers each day. In the chimney whole, there was a huge wasps hive. I chased 2 months with Richard Kendalls to sort this issue out and they were just ignoring it. Finally after 2 months, they sent pest control unit who were not able to go on the roof and the roofer wasn't agreeing on going to the roof because of the Bees. With all those issues and worst customer care, I had to leave the property. Now I left the property, the landlady and Richard kendalls are trying to take the deposit money as there is a small paint pint they found on a cupboard. They also want to take more money out of my deposit because I had internet setup in the property "With their Concent" which they don't remember now.Such worst estate agents, who will do anything to rip you off.

A great experience from beginning to end

We recently purchased through Richard Kendall, and are very grateful to have had such support and friendly staff to talk to throughout the process. They helped us immensely despite working with truly terrible solicitors on our end, being friendly and approachable, whether in person in Wakefield, on the phone, or via email. They happily passed and received messages on behalf of ourselves and the seller, and never once made us feel unwelcome when doing so. We mainly dealt with Karen, who was proactive and helpful throughout our very long purchase. I could not recommend using Richard Kendall enough and hope to have the pleasure of doing so myself in the future.

Excellent care and attention to detail

Good communication knew exactly what we're looking for, first flat we unfortunately missed out on but they saved all documents needed so available to transfer to next viewing, which we put offer on and we're accepted immediately, thanks to Alice for her efficiency, I have just inherited a house in east Yorkshire and will get Richard Kendall to handle the sale and then will go back to them when we eventually buy a house on Wakefield after hopefully at least a year in our lovely rental

I used Richard Kendall as the agents to sell my property and throughout the process any contact with staff was made easy as they were all very helpful & polite. I mainly dealt with Elizabeth Cooke throughout the course of the sale who was excellent. She always seemed very happy and eager to help & was accomadting when I wanted to contact my buyers with any queries and always replied immediately whether that be by email or phone call, but usually both! Absolutely shocking service

Absolutely shocking service. I bought a house with them and sold my house using them too. Lucy from the ossett branch called me twice with updates during the whole process. Everytime you called she was “away from her desk” and would call you back. She never did. They need to employ better staff who actually care. I think Lucy was the office manager too so you’d think she’d set an example. Don’t use them. They will over value your house it won’t sell then you have to reduce it. Why not give an accurate price originally. Shocking service.
