Purchased my first home

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing my first home through Richard Kendall. A special mention to Shireen and Catherine who kept me informed with where I was in the process and they were easy to talk to, nothing was too much for them. Even when I felt the process was taking long, they both kept chasings things up for me and reassuring me every step of the way with an update. Thank you so much! I cannot recommend them highly enough. From the very beginning, their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care shone through. Thank you Richard Kendall but most importantly thank you Shireen and Catherine for your time and patience and for making what can often be a stressful process into a truly positive and rewarding experience!

We chose Richard Kendall to sell my father’s house because Roger Hall was far and away the most professional valuer we saw who gave good, sensible advice. We were allocated Amber Hamilton in the Pontefract office and although the sale was a little bit fraught - one sale fell through and the next had a long, difficult chain - she was amazing. The communication was always excellent and Amber was always polite, friendly and reassuring. On the rare occasion she wasn’t available all of the other office staff were helpful and seemed knowledgeable about the sale. Can’t recommend them highly enough and I would definitely use them again

Would highly recommend Emily and the Wakefield office!

Would highly recommend Richard Kendall Estate Agents to anyone thinking of selling their property. From the initial valuation to completion everything was handled with professionalism and ease. We purchased our home through Richard…

We purchased our home through Richard Kendal and really wish we had also sold through them. Amanda Holt has made the journey seamless, with her weekly updates. Very professional and highly knowledgeable in all aspects of buying and selling. Nothing was too much and always returned calls and emails as promised. Really felt I was talking to a friend and can't recommend her and Richard Kendal's enough. So looking forward to moving to our new home on Thursday. Thanks Amanda for all you have done for us .

First time Renter

First time Renter, Kelly Scoggins was my agent and couldn't have wished for a better person to guide me through the process. Explained everything to me in terms I could understand. Was patient with me, always helpful and even now I'm in the house and have been for over a month, is still my right hand women to help me get thins sorted and being a liaison between me and the landlord. Brilliant Person who is amazing at her job on a professional level and very caring on a personal level. Would recommend anyone to use Richard Kendall.

We sold our House through Kendall’s ( Hallmark ) and what could have been a traumatic experience turned out to be trouble free due to the commitment of Liz Cooke. She was pro active every step of the way, ensuring both parties had the correct documentation and information etc at the correct time. Extremely disappointed with the Richard Kendall Horbury lettings team. During my tenancy, a maintenance worker actually warned me not to report issues because Richard Kendall’s “get annoyed and want you out.” That says everything about the culture. When problems were reported, responses were slow or nonexistent. After moving out, the rent/deposit handling was appalling. Staff were rude, dismissive, and clearly sided with the landlord despite false claims being made. When evidence showed I was in the right, paperwork was conveniently withheld. I took the matter to TDS and won the case, proving the claims against me were unfounded and that the agency’s handling was unfair and unprofessional. The only person who was helpful was the lady who carried out inspections. Other than that, I would not recommend them as a letting agent to anyone.

I am pleased to hear that you found the property inspector helpful, and I will ensure that this feedback is passed on. Equally, I am sorry that you did not feel supported by the wider lettings team, and I will be addressing your comments with staff to ensure lessons are learned. Terrible Liers, Especially Alice From Richard Kendall Horbury Office for 27 Finkin Lane, Wf3 4NJ. She with the landlady tried to hide so many issues, like chimney leak and put a blame on us that the walls are wet because of you guys. Later one, the water starts dripping out of the ceilings we had to live in the damp property for months. Now they are trying to claim money out of my deposit. The House also has bees issue, loads of bees coming out from the Abandoned chimney into the living room and Alice and Richard Kendalls never cared about it and landlady took 3 months to resolve it. I am sure one of their representatives will come and paste a same response saying, we have resolved all the issues. Truth is, they don't even keep record of the issues and in the end, they will put everything on tenants and will do their best to rip you off.

Excellent Estate Agent

Liz Cooke took over matters for us after the first few months of marketing my late Mother's house which was proving tricky to sell in a buyers market. Liz has a natural energy and enthusiasm for her job and it shines through. She is totally professional, a great listener/communicator in general and always got back to me quickly on the phone or email if she wasn't immediately available. Liz was an absolute pleasure to deal with during what was a particularly stressful time for us, exacerbated by living so far away from Wakefield. I have no hesitation in recommending her agency skills.

I always spoke to the same person who…

I always spoke to the same person who knew the progress or challenges that we came across. I didn't have to repeat myself because I had Mandy who was always keen to help and get things moving. Mandy made this experience great, by being patient and keeping me updated on everything as it was happening. Mandy always informed me of progress and when I went to collect the keys for the house I purchased, Mandy gave me a lovely welcome gift that Richard Kendal give to buyers and this was also a lovely touch. It's been smooth and timely from offer to completion, I would recommend Richard kendal to anyone.

It’s been a first time experienced for myself in the rental of a new place via Richard Kendall’s at a local branch at Horbury in Wakefield, which was quite a process due to all the checks required by a third party. Jessica Judd who I dealt with was very professional, polite, efficient, friendly and helpful during this process. I was really pleased that Jessica also pushed to get everything into place before I went away on holiday, taking away any anxiety about having a property to move into on my return to the UK. Jessica is a real credit to her company and would definitely use the services of Richard Kendall again in the future.

It was a really lengthy and stressful process due to our buyers pulling out at the very last minute and causing us significant delays in the chain, but Amanda held everything together at her end to ensure we were able to keep our dream home and not loose it.
