Update - Joanna who has looked after us during the purchase process has been fabulous. She has a great approach to customer service, nothing is too much trouble and her warm, friendly and professional manner has helped make the buying experience for our new home completely unstressful. What a delight Rachel Harbour in your Holt office is... I popped in to get some advice on Saturday, to Sowerbys Holt branch. We are thinking of buying a property to rent for investment in North Norfolk. For the first time in an Estate Agents office, I felt like a person. Sowerbys - an Outstanding Estate Agents. Laura, Rachel & their teams outstanding ambassadors for the company. People often have it that moving is either the most stressful thing in your life or the second most. Divorce is the other contender and it is for the same reasons. What Sowerbys realise, that the vast majority don't seem to, on an active level - is that the emotions involved in selling and buying a house is equally important as the logical and practical aspects. Nobody buys a house because of pure logic they buy it because they form a relationship with it, they fall in love with it. And when they sell that relationship is still there. We have just finished selling our third house through Sowerbys, and they also handled my wife's mother's sale too - to co-ordinate a family move to the south west. Throughout the process we have been nothing but delighted with the service we have received. The full team came round to view the property, marketed it magnificently, provided a ready stream of highly suitable viewers and negotiated a sale price we were highly delighted with. Any sale is fraught with difficulties and the agents knew full well that the large part of their job starts when the sales is agreed. And again they didn't disappoint. Keeping us apprised. updated and holding our virtual hands up to and beyond the completion date. Laura was personable, charming and our most persistent point of contact and Rachel sailed our own sale home into a safe harbour through the choppy waters. Laura handled my mother-in-laws sale and was perfectly professional and caring to her as a woman of advanced years, and extremely sensitive to her issues selling a house that has been a home to her for so many years. She was in constant contact throughout and Shirley herself commented that it was like having a family member looking after her interests; and nothing seemed too much trouble for Laura. And she negotiated a deal that was beyond her expectations! Certainly I felt like we had become friends at the end of the months we had been working together on our sales and I expect presents at Christmas. As I say highly recommended, their fee is slightly higher than some of their competitors but in terms of value for money and prices achieved - overall they are probably the least expensive. And I speak from experience.

We had an excellent service from Rachel and her colleagues when we purchased a house in North Norfolk. Rachel was always very proactive allowing us to view the house as soon as we could after it was first marketed and then several times more as we made up our minds and proceeded with the purchase. She efficiently responded to our lawyer. Above all else she intuitively understood how important the house purchase was for us.
