Peace of mind Bronte is our current main contact at Belvoir dealing with issues and general management of our properties. She is always on the ball as far as identifying and progressing any issues with our properties and notifies us promptly with an indication of callout costs and costs to rectify as well as confirming how payment to fix will be handled by default. This means that as landlords we are subjected to minimum hassle and know that the flats and our tenants are being looked after. We are kept informed of any issues and have only to give the go ahead to progress the fix to know that it will be done in a timely manner and funded as we would wish. When the issues have been addressed Bronte informs us of the fact so that we have peace of mind. An exemplary service.

Jan went above and beyond with the sale of my mum's property, even helping organise home clearance and offering to put the hoover around before viewings! Her professionalism, sensitivity and kindness were so much appreciated. We sold our flat with Belvoir recently. Jan took charge of our sale, and was there every step of the way, keeping things moving. It was a complicated sale, with an uncommunicative solicitor, a bureaucratic housing association and a fickle first buyer. Jan was always proactive in making calls and sending emails when most of the other parties were grinding to a halt. When our first buyer pulled out at the eleventh hour, Belvoir found another within a week or two. Jan, John and the team are everything estate agents should be and nothing they shouldn't. No smarminess or smooth-talk nonsense, just hard-working, friendly, supportive and always on your side. Honestly, I can't recommend them enough.

DO NOT RENT THROUGH BELVOIR! Ever wonder why they have most of the properties in Hitchin on their portfolio? It is because they allow landlords to let properties to unsuspecting tenants in ANY condition. I moved into a property that was in an awful state. Belvoir promised that the property would be cleaned and fixed up before I moved in. It wasn't. I asked for many things to be fixed as soon as I moved in... none of them were. On moving out then they tried to deduct charges for these issues from my deposit even though the issues were there previously. On moving out they booked numerous viewings of the property despite me asking them not to. We were at the peak of the 2nd Covid wave. I had a vulnerable family member staying at the property and didn't want people traipsing in and out. Really unprofessional of them and probably illegal as I had refused entry. The reviews on here praising individual staff members were either written by the Belvoir team themselves or their mother's. Awful service throughout. If you are about to rent with them please photograph every inch of the property when you move in as they will try to screw you over when you leave.NegativeQuality, Professionalism
