Hello. I have rented from this agency after two months waiting to get the key while I was waiting to move in because the house was not ready. It had too much problems like electric and gas, i had called them to come and to fix it, but they never came. Two nights and days I didn’t have electricity and hot water. After two days they replied with email telling me they would charge me 120 pounds if they send me a plumber! The carpets not being floored perfectly the kitchen and bathroom not look good either. They left too much space from the wall edges. It has holes and too many spiders and worms. I advise everyone not to rent anything from this agency, their staff are too rude as well. Their service is zero. I have proof and I will attach pictures for what I mentioned. I am too tired fixing the house problems.

We rented a flat on a six-month contract through HG Premier Lettings and have had a positive experience so far. Communication was excellent from day one. Beth addressed and resolved our concerns very quickly and efficiently.

As a landlord all I can say is that they had been marketing my flat for months before completion; and several weeks after completion they were still unable to find me a tenant. The way they went about advising me on how to prepare the flat for letting was poor to say the least. Would not recommend.

Don't give these clowns your money or your business. A deplorable letting agents. Useless from the get-go of my tenency with starting with the simple task of opening my account with their water & electricity they use for the building 'Switch2'. Dragged their heels with that. A really 'cant be arsed' attitude to any sort of problem that arose during the tenancy with them. 'we'll get someone out to look' = 'we might get someone out in a month or so's time to look' The building Sumner House doesn't get maintained as well as they said it would when starting my tenency. By the time of moving out it looked like no one had been to clean the hallways and stairs in monthsNegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Been a tenant for 12 months now. Due to move out tomorrow as we’ve been suffering from damp issues since September and whilst they have acknowledged my emails, they’ve not come to sort it out at all. Property damaged due to their incompetence to help, and highly frustrating. Also had a shower handle break around same time as damp, and was told on four separate occasions that a maintenance man would come to fix shower. On all four occasions, nobody showed up and didn’t even tell us they couldn’t make it. It took me emailing them that they hadn’t shown up for them to realise the issue ALL FOUR TIMES. The people emailing back aren’t to blame but communication from all their departments could be much better. Damp issues and lack of them being sorted were the last straw and has forced us to move. Wouldn’t recommendNegativeQuality, Professionalism

Shocking service. Completely missold a rental to me. They like to convert old buildings into accommodation and they are not fit for habitation. They'll charge you an arm and a leg and completely lie about aspects of the property, just to get your name on the paper. I was told that parking was free when I moved into a studio but turns out that wasn't true. Having read the other reviews left here, it seems a common theme is for them to heavily restrict the central heating times. When the cold weather hit, I never noticed the heating come on at all and it wasn’t until I had called up that they switched it on for an hour in the morning, and that was it; the radiators barely had time to warm up before they switched off again.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Been a tenant since April 20 and encountered a number of issues culminating in me ending my tenancy this month. Communication across their departments is shocking, lost count the number of times I had to follow up over phone, only to be told 'its being dealt with'. For example I raised a problem in November about my french doors being majorly draughty and all the heat going straight out. I asked someone to come and seal but whilst they initially sent a plumber, the maintenance man never turned up despite follow ups. I eventually bought my own heater for the winter period, which made things slightly better but still so cold. I had to put the 'pay as you go' heating on most of the day alongside the heater to even get it a little warm and ended up costing me a fortune. By the end of my tenancy someone still hadn't turned up to fix. I also encountered other issues. My advice, dont raise a problem because they don't want to know, especially dealing with difficult situations.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Value

I moved into what was almost a new apartment on 1/7/20, this was a premium price apartment and I expected the property and service to be as such. However when I moved in the plug on the bath was broken so I could not have a shower or bath, the bathroom was dirty and the toilet was soiled. The radiators were not working properly, the thermostat was wrong, I had no keys for my letterbox or a parking permit. When I tested the fire alarm it was faulty leading to it continuously sounding, when I rang the emergency number it went to voicemail and they had provided no guidance of what to do in this situation so I had to disconnect the alarm which resulted in them threatening to charge me for it. I have sent multiple emails over the last week regarding the heating and have had no response, so I will now have to chase it up with a phone call. This is not a responsive organisation. To improve they need to thoroughly inspect an apartment before a tenant moves in and make sure the property is clean to a professional standard and everything is in full working order. They also need to be much more responsive to emails regarding maintenance.

Moved into a basement flat with my partner as a first rented accommodation, this lasted 5 months and I'll tell you why. Now the flat itself was a basic one bedroom with the essentials, was paying £395/month which we thought was a bargain however we soon discovered why it was so cheap to rent. Now because the flat was in the basement, it would start to smell quite bad in the kitchen as there was no windows in there, no air circulation whatsoever and pests started to slowly invade during the summer months. Masses of fruit flies were swarming the kitchen and slugs were actually coming through from underneath the main flat door, which was awful. This kept happening each night, and it didn't help that the main living room was carpet and the slugs would leave a nasty trail, purely disgusting. The basement was dark, no light could reach inside the property unless it was a bright sunny day. One morning I had to go to work, switched the main living room lights on and the whole electrics just shut off, we were so stressed because we did a full food shop the day before and the freezer was defrosting, one of their contractors turned up 5 hours later to fix it so by then all the food was useless, no compensation at all. Now for the absolute worst part about living here, the mould. We later discovered the mould a few months in because the air smelt pungent within the flat, so we moved all the furniture that was against the wall and found a thick layer of green mould that was travelling up behind our furniture. Got the bleach out and tried to scrub it all off, whilst scrubbing you could literally see the spores polute the air even more, this caused a lot of anger and distress. We even contacted HG Premier lettings about the issue and they couldn't even show a small amount of empathy, absolute joke, they didn't even do anything to help. you're lucky we didn't have a young child or toddler breathing this filth in or you would've had a lawsuit on your hands. So, the problem wasn't caused by ourselves, it was the agency/landlords fault for cutting corners in regards to proper insulation behind the walls. I'd imagine living underneath the ground there would be a lot of damp moisture within the ground itself, of course this wasn't a concern when we first moved in because it was our first time renting. Lesson learnt. After the mould outbreak we just needed to escape and get out as soon as possible, and we did, however HG Premier Lettings charged us £30 for a reference, very sly. Do yourself a favour and do not trust HG Premier Lettings agency, especially if you're looking at a basement flat, absolutely avoid at all costs.

We are currently renting through HG premier lettings. The tenancy process was smooth and straightforward. Whenever, we face an issue with maintenance or any queries, they promptly respond and act. I would highly recommend. Also, they take good care of maintaining the cleanliness of the building.

A great letting agency. A relative of mine was looking for somewhere to rent and had tried numerous agencies. He came across Premier Lettings and never looked back. The whole process from start to finish was made stress free by the staff who work there. Each stage was explained clearly throughout and communication was great which was key in what can be a stressful experience. He is now in a lovely property which offers round the clock support and are always available for any issues which may arise. Would definitely recommend!

Was a tenant for 10 months and had few good enocounters with them. Firstly when we moved in the first night was spent sleeping in artic cold due to the boiler not working, this was fixed the next day after chasing around and waiting for hours for somebody to turn up. The flat was infested with damp and rats throughout the block of flats. The cost of rent was extortionate and the landlords had the audacity to withdraw electricity being included in the rent which prompted us to leave. They provided "shared" washing facilities with only 1 washer and 1 dryer between over 15 tenants. Car parks were not monitored which allowed anybody to use them and hall ways were never cleaned or maintained. Not particularly safe since there was no CCTV or working doors at times. To make matters worse, they told the council we left at a later date than we did which has resulted in us being charged an additional £60. If you read other reviews they even changed their name due to poor reviews in the past. It honestly doesn't surprise me at all. If you are looking in Cheshire, I would advise a studio flat in place of anything they have to offer.

They post flats in central Manchester but when you actually check the address.. the flats are in the middle of nowhere. Misleading.

This company have very nice properties to let however their customer service is absolutely shocking! I rented a flast on Bridgeman Terrace in Wigan in 2017 until early 2018. The flat was advertised with internet included with the all bills package and I specifcally asked the estate agent who showed me round if the internet was included and what I would be using it for and she said yes that was fine. Once moved in the internet would go off every couple of days and I kept reporting it so someone would come and reset the router, after months of this happening HG turned around to me and said that the internet was NOT included in my rent and that it wasnt suitable for streaming movies on apps like Netflix. hmm false advertising there...this went on for my entire stay in the flat. When I moved in I noticed that the heating was never on, I questioned this with HG and they said they do not put the heating on over summer and it comes on for two hours in the morning and two hours at night in the winter. The thermostat in the hallway was covered so tennants could not adjust the tempertature. During winter my flat got down to 11-13C almost everynight and I had thermals on in my flat to try keep warm. I complained about this to HG so they turned the temperature up but this didnt solve the problem as when the heating was off it went cold very quickly. I use a plug in radiator to keep warm but upon my 3 month inspection I was told if I went over my electricity allowance I would be billed! no electricity allowance was ever pointed out to me. As I was concerned for my health as I was waking up with a sore throat every morning from sleeping in a cold flat I spoke to environmental health at the council who actually provide HG with the licence to lets properties out and they were shocked to find out they were controlling the heating as they are not allowed to do that, through the council this issue was sorted and they were made to put the heating on 24hrs a day seen as though they were not willing to let tennants have access to the heating stat. In the early hours of New Years Day the fire alarm was sounding and would not go off, all of us tennants came out and looked for a way to silence the alarm but couldnt. As we had been provided with an out of hours number by HG we called that about 20 times between us but it rang out and went to voicemail everytime, not even a message to say they were not opearting bank holidays. As we didnt know what else to do we called 101 and asked for advice and apologised for calling that number as we did not believe it was an emergency but they sent out the fire service who checked all flats, including the empty one by breaking down the door. They asked us if we had access to the basement and we said no so they broke the lock and went and ckecked down there too, not able to silence the alarm they phoned for an electrician to come out as they believed the fire alarm wasnt wired up correctly to the control panel and HG were charged for wasting time. The fire service said they werent suprised we did have access to the basement as it was a fire hazard full of fibreglass, paint, theyre old local lettings shop sign down there. HG told us they werent able to provide out of hours 365 days a year which defeats the object of out of hours!...Its a good job the NHS and Emergency services dont decide to close on christmas and new year thats all I will say. Never again would I let one of HG's Properties a Nightmare from start to finish

My dealings with Hg Premier Lettings, have been minimal - although this is a testament to their service. I literally hear from them once a month when I get a statement from them and the rent into my account. The few times, I’ve needed to email them, I’ve had quick and friendly responses. The service I have so far received has been friendly, hassle free and efficient. In other words just what I have been looking for. My one complaint is they don’t cover more of the country, as I have another property I would love them to manage for me. Jo S.
