GoogleThe worse service company that you could have. Lack of action, inadequate communication and transparency and above all not really providing a service that you pay for. Everything takes months to resolve and all they say is “they are chasing an insurance or a contractor” but in reality nothing is being done. It’s exasperating and very frustrating.
Dear Francisco, To clarify this complaint has been made because there was a delay with an insurance claim being settled by Insurers. This delay was not caused by Engel Jacobs and we continued to pursue this, whilst keeping you updated through to completion. Advance payment could not be diverted from the service charge funds to reimburse this claim prior to settlement by the Insurers. As a consequence of being unable to facilitate your request, this review has been unreasonably left. Regards, Engel Jacobs

GoogleIf only zero stars were an option... to date I have found Engel Jacobs dreadful - AVOID AVOID AVOID - Rude, patronising staff member - Stuart Kent in their property management dept. Raises his voice on he phone whilst being bullying and rude. Refuses to do a site visit to see the problem in person. Doesn't appear to be manging the property at all. Refuses to respond to emails over a period of months. I finally complained to the Directors, they showed no empathy and were uninterested that their staff had been and continue to be unprofessional and rude. Not a pleasant experience. The problem is still ongoing with no end in sight and still no response nor resolution from Mr Kent...

GoogleAs an owner of a flat in a block that Engel Jacobs managed for 11 years I think they did a good job. Managing a block of flats is difficult but they always communicated with us, responded quickly to emergencies, and dealt with repairs etc in a very professional manner.

FacebookFrom a property management perspective. These guys are awful. Next to no communication with the leaseholders and continue to demand extortionate fees for work that has not been done. Stuart Kent who runs our property rarely replies to my emails, never informs us of any work and has also handed my personal details on to contractors with out my consent. (Breaching GDPR). When I do speak with him he is extremely arrogant and fails to acknowledge that we pay him to do a job for us! This fence was reported to stuart who employed a couple cowboys to repair it. They used a broom the brush it off before applying one coat of paint. After reporting the shoddy work nothing has been done since.
Dear Mr Bason, You will recall that you made a complaint in August 2017. Last September you made a further complaint. Since that second complaint you have sent us eleven emails and we have responded to all eleven emails accordingly. These have dealt with awarding a new cleaning contract, provision of electrical supply to the common parts, servicing the emergency lighting and smoke detection equipment, repair of the electrical supply to the Smoke Vent, investigation and repair of a serious drainage problem following routine jetting of all the drains. In addition you have received the budget for 2019 together with a very informative covering letter and a revised Section 20 Notice of Intention covering all works that need to be addressed during 2019. We have appreciated your availability during paternity leave to meet Contractors onsite when convenient and with your prior agreement, please refer to email dated 29th Oct re new cleaning Contractor survey. We are not aware that we have provided privileged information to any third party in breach of GDPR rules. In relation to the fence, you are entirely incorrect. The fence has not been varnished, we have not instructed any Contractor to carry out works to this picket fence. The only fences you have reported to us are the one’s belonging to the Ascot House, to the left of the Mews and these have been dealt with by the owner, so again this is not true and it seems your overall purpose is to discredit Engel Jacobs and our staff. Fence repairs have been included and painting with wood preservative in the major works to be carried out during 2019. Stuart is currently composing his reply to your response in relation to the budget and major works proposals but you may not receive a considered full response before the New Year.

GoogleAwful management agency. No communication to the lease holders and not up holding the terms of the lease. Email to Stuart Kent on Saturday 09 September asking questions in regards to the overdue internal decoration due and a faulty lock on the front door causing my 38 week pregnant wife to be stuck outside until someone can let her in. 6 days have passed and still no correspodence. Oh and this year alone I have paid over £2000 and only seen a new door knob.
Dear Mr Bason, Further to your review we have investigate your comments and respond as follows. Please note that our office was closed Sat 8th and Sun 9th and Stuart was on leave on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th. Your email of Sat 8th was read on Wednesday together with your re-transmission of your earlier email. Stuart called you repeatedly during Wednesday to discuss the door but was unable to reach you on the phone. He received no other complaints about the door lock but instructed the locksmith to attend in any case. The door lock was replaced on Friday and new keys distributed. On Friday 14th at 10.35 Stuart replied to your various enquiries in full including confirming that the locksmith would be attending. At 12.15 he emailed various leaseholders, including you, regarding the change of lock and issue of new keys. At 17.05 on Friday you emailed to say that Stuarts email sent at 10.35 “had mysteriously disappeared from your mailbox” although, you were able to quote from it, you had clearly read it at least once. As to the progress of works at the Mews please do not forget that Stuart has not been able, until recently to attend to any Section 20 works (including Section 20 H&S improvements) at all whilst the Leaseholders FTT application was still “live”. As a consequence we have lost the opportunity to do external works this year and we are now hoping to do the H&S and internals first before the end of this year and the externals next spring. GoogleThere are notices saying that smoking is forbidden in communal areas, and to let them know when it's happening... BUT THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW AND DON'T CARE IF WE CAN'T BREATHE BECAUSE OF THE SMOKE!!! A lot of people have complained, but it falls on deaf ears.
