Buying through British Homesellers

We brought our new home through British Homesellers, to start of with communication was lacking and we struggled to get hold of the person who was processing our offer. After our offer was accepted we were given a case progressor called Charles Gale. He saved our experience. Charles was always on hand for any questions/queries we had. He kept us updated with every step of the progress and even answered our messages out of hours. Overall we had a good experience with British Homesellers.

Really good communication throughout

Really good communication throughout the whole buying process. If the seller and I needed to conform anything it would be done right away with a follow up call. Charles was very professional all the way and even kept me up to date with the process from the sellers solicitors. I knew at all times where I was up to in the process, sometimes knowing things about the process before my own solicitor had had a chance to let me know. As a property investor this communication and immediate information is gold dust and I thank them for it. Would be happy to recommend or use again.

Better than who we sold with!

We were very pleased with the service we received when purchasing from them. We hadn't heard of them before due to them not being local but we found them very efficient and clear when communicating each aspect of the purchase. They were always available on the line and Alex was very pleasant whether it be small talk or down to business. They appeared a lot smoother to operate then who we sold our house through. Little disappointed in the home movers department where they set up and close down utilities etc. This was because I never received the paperwork I was meant to. However I do think this is a really good idea if only it worked better.

Very helpful and friendly service. I received an offer very quickly after being on the market for a year with a local estate agent. Both Alex and Charles were very helpful and always returned my calls/texts promptly. Slightly more expensive than local estate agents but worth it. Would definitely recommend.

We had never heard of British Home Sellers until the purchase of our new home. Beware!! Over promised, under delivered & broke terms of contract

Slick marketing by employees who sound professional & are very convincing. However, didn’t get a single viewing on our property in the 3 months with them. Had viewings with the agents we were with before these for a shorter time. Very disappointing.We received a weekly ‘update’ from our assigned agent, mainly advising how many views we’d had online. (Information you can get from other sites). Surprise surprise their only tool to generate more interest was to reduce the price, just like any estate agent!Worst of all, after giving 30 days notice, as in their terms of contract, we returned from a trip away on 23/12 to discover our property hadn’t been removed from the market. Despite emails & phone calls there was no reply from them as they had finished for Christmas. No doubt their excuse. What would have happened if we had broken the terms of the contract with them??!!There are no ‘investors’ and this is just an estate agent by another name charging much higher fees.Do yourself a favour and read the reviews carefully (the good ones are mainly buyers or people who’ve left them soon after initial contact with the company) then save yourself time & money & take your business to a local agent.

Purchased a one bed flat in Norwich...Service from British Home Sellers was excellent...The Coordinator (Charles Gale) was very professional and did an excellent job of keeping me calm throughout all the frustrations of property purchasing and was very informative throughout.The only criticism I can offer is of a legal system, which is responsible for the whole thing taking such a long long time.., which is the cause of so much frustration.

Don't bother find a reputable local estate agent

Don't bother, they are no better than a local estate agent. Firstly they offer you 85% of your house price. Tell you that they have a portfolio of investors, that they can sell your house in a month for what seems like a great price, or buy it from you for an even better price, or put you up for sale for another great price but just as an estate agent would. Then you are hassled for a 25.00 deposit from their solicitors for a house that they haven't even got on the market. It then takes them 10 days to finally get the house to go live on the same websites that other estate agents use, with absolutely appalling quality photos. So bad in colour it's embarrassing. Then you sit and wait for all these promises they give you. Investors don't materialise, neither do the viewings (which you have to do yourself) we had 1 in the time on with them. Then when you ask for the cash offer price, surprise surprise its nothing like 85% of the market value. We never found out the actual price as they were so cagey they never formally came back with the offer. Except we were told it was considerably less than the 318K they offered via a letter which they had the gall to send us. Then we were offered what they call an auction style format, which it isn't its just offering at a lower price with offers over supposedly to drum up business. Then if you ask for the cash offer each time you reduce it they then reduce the cash price. That doesn't work either, so then what they do is have the cheek to expect you to reduce it by 75k to sell it. Give them a wide berth, they don't give you anywhere near the cash price they offer, their pictures are poor, their service isn't great and they just tell you BS to get you to sign up knowing full well they won't sell your house for the price they say they can sell it for. If they don't get any interest, you go to the bottom of the pile and they lose interest.British Homesellers look harder it only went off the market with you yesterday

What can I say they said all the right…

What can I say they said all the right things to begin with. Then they ring you all the time till you agree to sell through them ,then when ever I rang up ,no floor plan till I rang and asked why then it magically appeared, never answers phone never rings back about updates , if you ring the central office he is always there and free to tell you nothing wasted three months of my life couldn’t wait to get away from them , absolute rubbish and lies from the start. all names have been removed to stop trustpilot removing my true account as asked by British home sellers

British Home Sellers is an excellent service, found me a buyer almost immediately, and was very patient throughout the process, which was comparatively quick in spite of some road blocks on the way that had nothing to do with the company. Charles Gale was very patient with me and kept me on track when I got doubts. Their lawyers were also incredibly on the ball and kept chasing the buyer's lawyer (who was chosen by the buyer and had nothing to do with the company) daily to make it happen within the tight time frame needed. I must say that I was sceptical before using a service like this, because of all the bad experiences I had made in the past, and I half expected some politics, given they knew how fast I wanted to sell and they also have a buyer arm. However, I gave them the opportunity several times to take advantage, and yet the integrity of this company was astounding - they really did look after my best interest, as well as making it fair for the buyer. This is something that I have found very rarely in the past, and it certainly is a mark of excellence! Thank you!
