Been with this agency for 2 years & they are useless. I have to chase them for rent from my tenant. My tenant only pay twice a year ( 6 months upfront) & they can’t even collect that in time. There are mistakes on their invoices & the account managers are useless.They have the audacity to increase their charges each year, I wouldn’t mind if I got a decent level of service, but the service is not fit for purpose. I have zero faith in this company & would rather manage the property myself, I am actually doing that currently & paying them for the privilege.

We’ve stayed at our flat since December 2023, and while moving into a completely refurbished place you should always expect some ‘childhood diseases’, but lettingaproperty’s intuitive platform makes is so easy to report and work with whatever may occur, big or small. We’ve been extra fortunate to have Donna as our agent, she’s super responsive and really goes the extra mile to make our tenancy as easy and comfortable as it possibly can be!

I note a lot of positive reviews here from letters, but what about renters? I'm developing doubts about whether an apparently attractive offer on the site can be real.After writing what's above, I had a courteous phone call from the agency, telling me that we are 63rd in line for this property. That is helpful, but since this means the probability of getting a viewing is close to zero, I'd like to suggest that similar information is shared for all advertised properties.

GoogleI have used lettingaproperty as a landlord for 2 years and I really dont recommend them! The first issue came just after I paid to have them list my property and realized very quickly that they were a lot less helpful and responsive than before I had paid, as if they knew that I was now stuck with them so they did not need to make any effort anymore. They take your money but you have to basically do everything on your own. The only thing they did was put my flat on a renting website, but I was in charge of everything else: answering emails, booking appointments. I had paid for a service to have somebody do the flat visits for me, but I wasn't allowed to get directly in contact with the person (to tell her about the flat in detail). And from what I gather, she only opened the door to people there for a viewing but let them visit the flat on their own. So in general I do not recommend that viewing service. I used their basic plan for 2 years. It's basically a rent collection service and that is it! I was never given an account manager or someone to reach out to in case of need. So I had to use the basic general "contacts" email found on their website whenever I had a question. And they would usually take at least 10 business days to get back to me/just acknowledge my email. To me this was the worst failure of their service. It shows how little they care about customer service to not even give their customers a direct email to reach in case of an issue. I had a basic question about tenancy regulations in the UK once, which they couldn't answer. When it was the end of the tenancy, they were completely absent of the process. I had specific questions about check out inventory and deposit release for my tenancy and they never bothered to answer. Apart from collecting my money, they did not do anything. I strongly recommend NOT to use the services of lettingaproperty. Landlords are better off doing everything on their own, but at least not paying them a service that they don't fulfill, or better off with another letting agent.
