Horrible company

Horrible company, terrible houses but unfortunately that is the state of most big builders in England. If I could give a zero rating I would. Selling our house over just over 10 years so NHBC no longer valid. Issue came up with our roof and it turns out it was never built to code or any kind of standard building practices. I would never buy a house in England again. If you do please raise hell on every little defect otherwise you will be letting the builder off the hook. I would also suggest a thorough paying for a thorough building inspection even when new and hold these companies to account.

Stonebridge Fields - Fantastic!

We completed our purchase of our new house today at Stonebridge fields and have dealt with the sales executive, Mia, throughout. Myself and my wife genuinely could not be happier with the whole process. Communication is always efficient, and the standards set on this particular site are so high. They have been very flexible with allowing us to make our choices in the kitchen/bathroom tiling etc, despite the house being ‘nearly ready’ which we were very happy with. The whole team are so friendly and helpful, and have been an absolute pleasure to deal with. I couldn’t recommend them enough. Thank you so much again to all involved!

Garden/road Drainage issues

Moved into our home in December 2023 and were very impressed with the quality and finishing touches by DWH. We are very relaxed people and found our experience of our first new built to be very positive, Gillian, Jordan and Danny (site manager) have been excellent with us. There are however some issues outstanding that after being in for 9 months and with a warranty of 2 years im getting concerned with the lack of movement or communication from Northwest home care. A digger hit our fence while doing the drains for the house at the back which has cracked and shifted the whole fence line and push up earth all along the fence line. Still needs replacing. Our turf was laid in Dec and while it looked immaculate for several months it soon became apparent there were drainage issues. A mound in the middle has formed and areas of the garden floods, we had some guys come and dig 2 holes in the ground to "check" drains were in and said there were and they would report back to Northwest home care, we are still waiting for someone to contact us to discuss how this is going to be fixed, by who and when. Heading into winter with a poorly draining garden is not ideal.Onto the front, right outside our house and many others on the street rain water settles and leaves puddles, there are very little drains in the road and concern is building as the build develops on the lack of drainage reported problems on the site. After reading many reviews on here, its clear that Gardens and drainage are very common, surely this should a focus of improvement as its such as shame for us as our house is near perfect.

This company that is sister company to…

This company that is sister company to Barratts are horrendous to deal with. They took over looking after our site after Barratts left it unfinished. It looks like a warzone outside. The workmanship is apprentice level. How they handled our situation and left our young family without a useable garden for nearly two years. They still didn't sort it, I paid for it myself. Dw managers and customer care team do nothing to help and.just fob you off . Joke of a company, do not buy!

Making moving home as pleasant as possible.

The show home management (Anne) has excelled in customer service. She has been fabulous with her help & advice in every way possible. Similarly, the site manager has been very informative & again has exhibited a higher level of customer service. The buying & moving in process has been made very easy thanks to the site staff. Our new house has been presented to us in excellent cleanliness, quality decor & fittings. The landscaping of our garden is an added delight. We hope to have many happy years in our beautifully designed new home.

I regret my decision to choose this…

I regret my decision to choose this builder or development, as the entire process felt rushed and lacked the necessary attention to detail. From the beginning, there were significant gaps in the procedures that should have been followed. After the handover, when I finally moved in, I discovered over 100 snags, which was extremely disappointing. Out of these, only around 40-80 issues were addressed, leaving many still unresolved. This indicates a clear lack of thoroughness and quality control on the part of the builder.One of my main concerns is that the keys were handed over without a proper quality check or a demonstration from a site manager. It seems there was no formal process to ensure the home was in an acceptable condition before I took possession. Additionally, the sales team failed to provide any proper guidance or walkthrough regarding the process of moving into a new home, leaving me to navigate everything on my own.When I submitted an honest NHBC review reflecting my experience, a member of the sales team expressed disappointment with my feedback. Despite having referred my brother to the development, when I later inquired about the £1,000 referral fee I was supposed to receive, I was told that because I selected "no recommendation" in my NHBC review, they are unsure if I will get the referral bonus. This response feels unfair and adds to my frustration with the entire experience.I am currently waiting for the remaining snag work to be completed, and I intend to have a discussion with top management about the issues I've encountered with the purchase of my property.

High Quality Developer

It was an amazing experience for me! I was able to secure the house just a month after making reservations. The sales advisors were very friendly and helpful. Even after I moved in, they were still quick to answer all my questions. Additionally, the site manager was careful and patient in explaining every detail of the house.
