My review only refers to Nikita Harper from Foxtons Letting Support Department, who called me today to help me resolve several issues with my logging in to my Foxtons Account. She was helpful, courteous, and followed up on our conversations. I have nothing good to say about the rest of the Foxtons team, including people at the Head Office, who were not only unhelpful, but kept on transferring my call to other people in the Foxton organisation, who were of course not at their seats, but "please leave a message and I will get back to you". I wasted well over an hour of my time today on the phone trying to get Foxtons support to resolve a problem they have created.

Absolute scam of a company, avoid at all costs

Absolute scam of a company. I’ve never gone to a Foxtons viewing where the property was as advertised - e.g. they say it’s a 5 minute walk from the station and it ends up being a 20 minute walk. They’ll do anything to get you through the door of a property, in the hope that you’ll somehow fall in love with the Godforsaken place once you get there. It’s a bit like how men all say they’re 6’0 on dating apps and then hope that their mediocre personality will win you over when you realise they’re 5’9 in person. Also, if you give your number to one office, be prepared to have endless phone calls for the rest of your life. I once had 10 phone calls in one day from different offices I wasn’t registered with, all asking if I would like to register with them. This morning I’ve had four offices call so far and it’s only 11am. If you don’t pick up the phone, they just immediately call back - very convenient if you’re in a meeting or on another call. This is despite the fact that I have asked them to remove my number from their database. And they all have different numbers so blocking one does nothing, and you don’t know if it could be someone else calling so you inevitably have to pick up just in case. So basically, sign up for Foxtons if you want to be pestered for the rest of your life by absolute crooks!! How fun!!

I recently sold my property with Foxtons in Stanmore. It was the most stressful thing I have ever experienced, but I was lucky enough to have Josh in my corner. He not only sold my house once , but because on the day that we were supposed to exchange the buyers backed out, he found another buyer within 2 weeks. He is so good at his job, and he deserves to go far. I now have moved to my dream cottage thanks to Josh and he is still there for me if I need him. I can’t thank him enough.

Absolutely terrible experience as a tenant. Apartment put on the market for sale and I had to suffer through six months of viewings although my contract did not stipulate this. Very inconsiderate and once I gave notice to move out the property was immediately put on the market for a higher rent. Agents come for viewing with no notice and have no respect. Several deductions taken from deposit creating various inane reasons . Avoid at all costs.

Non-existent communication. Viewings done by an unprepared team: didn't know level of service charge, exposure, if the appliances were new or not, size of the flat or rooms. One claimed we had replaced the kitchen (we hadn't), another that the Hue Lights we installed were staying in the flat for the buyer (we never said that).

Three words - don’t do it

We listed our house with foxtons and the service has been abysmal. There’s been next to no effort or movement with trying to sell the house, no communications with any options etc. You get an account online which shows upcoming viewings - almost all viewings ‘booked’ haven’t actually happened and they don’t contact us to confirm it either. You expect a lot from an estate agent with their level of commission - dont bother.

Dylan was knowledgeable, passionate, and driven to go out of his way to help us discover properties. He was very respectful and professional for setting up specific times, also alerted us prior to our meeting (about 15-20 mins) to reconfirm all was still workable for showings. He was able to show us 9 properties in two days with full descriptions and a personal take on the actual sites. He did not put any additional pressure during the on-site viewing and was able to answer our questions with an upbeat attitude and optimistic approach. His followup was very prompt, polite, detailed and accurate. Would highly recommend Dylan to help find your next home or investment property.

House selling and buying can be very stressful and you need to prepare a long process time. I first encountered Mr Dylan Young, a Sales Negotiator from Stanmore Sales, Foxtons when I made few equirres to different agents online which dated back in September last year. Although I did receive some responses from a couple of agents. But not many follow ups or there were shortages of houses within my requirements. Mr Young who had done a most through research to match my requirements. He showed me around a selection of houses several times which were fairly matching my requirements. And he had patient to show me again a couple of houses which I thought they might be suitable. Unfortunately, some problems had come up during the sale of my house, so I changed an agent after the new year, I called him up again for the house hunting last week. Same as before, he knew exactly what I wanted. I went for the viewings straight away. Hopefully, I’ll get my offer accepted by the vendor and can start the ball rolling very soon. Dylan is a bright and enthusiastic young man, he’s got tremendous patient and knowledgeable not only on property sales but every subjects. I still remembered it vividly on my first viewing that I went through A10 that was stuck on the traffic. So I called him and said unfortunately I might be late for the scheduled viewings. He told me to park at the Stanmore tube station that he would come to pick me up. So I did, such flash of wit and this kind solution had saved all booked viewings. On the way to the viewings, we chatted pleasantly and I was surprised that he knows everything. As a young person who has so much confidence and experience who looks life in dept. I am much impressed. The team at Stanmore branch are of the highest standards for my experience in my series of house buying and selling over the last two decades. If Dylan’s mobile is not available or he is out of the office, I would call the office and everyone who picks up the phone seems to know all about my matter. I would get promptly answers. I’d also get a message telling me that the office is texting him about my enquiries, so I would get a phone call from him as soon as he gets time. I would also received a text message from the office regards his various contact information. This efficient way of keeping in touch with their customers make me feel like a VIP customer. The team works excellently and I’d recommend to any of my friends, and definitely for my future house moves( I start getting bored in a same house same town after certain years) Foxton is a large group of estate agents through out the country, so again I have the faith to recommend my friends and family who are buying, selling or renting through the Stanmore branch who will get us connected to ensure a smooth process. They are a reliable team. Mr Dylan Young is an especial person, without a doubt, who is going to achieve all his goals in life.

Had such a great experience with Antonio Faria at Foxtons - Stanmore. He took me to see 3 properties, all were obviously carefully selected for me and were within my range, close to transport links and well maintained properties. It gave me a really good idea of what is out there and what I liked/didn't like. Antonio has been great with following up with me too and isn't too pushy which makes me feel more comfortable than I have with other estate agents. I would 100% recommend him to anyone who is looking for a place!

I feel that the experience was negative

I put my flat up for sale with my Foxtons, I was going to go with another agent but they were very pushy and said how they managed to sell better than anyone so I went with them. I was under the impression my flat would go straight up but after I signed the contract it took them 2 weeks to take photos and put them up, in the meantime they put up a video of the flat from a mid-term inspection where it looked absolutely disgusting. I had never seen this video and I don't see why it would be allowed to be put up without my permission, I asked for it to be removed, they didn't and it took them nearly the 2 weeks to remove it. The photos they took were adequate but not particularly great, I was pretty disappointed. I felt that the price was extremely over inflated (like all their prices) but respected they knew better than me, but when every single person gave feedback that it was way overpriced and no one showed any interest I became quite embarrassed. I found it very hard to contact my sales agent and just gave up most times after leaving numerous messages. I heard from my agent 10 times more before I signed with them than I did during my contract. When I gave notice 28 days before the end after having no interest, I was reminded how they are the number one and warned that going to another agent would not solve the issue. Their commission is so much more than everyone else but I feel my experience with their sales agent was extremely poor and I can't believe I had no interest in my nice flat. I feel I made a mistake going with them and would caution anyone thinking of them. Also I rented my flat with them for nearly 2 decades and my last tenant emailed them notice which they said they did not receive until the next day so they extended the end date to one day beyond the end of the month, they then charged me a management fee of £9 for the one day (and she paid £1 something rent for that one day). I will never rent with them again due to the complete lack of transparency with regards to money. (As for the excuse that the housing market is quiet I put my other property up for sale at the same time and it sold within 2 weeks, but then again the photos were really good and the price was reasonable).
