At no point was a image or communication about the images below conveyed. If you was going shopping at DFS or any sofa shop would you not want to know the full details. I'm not happy at all that I trusted the estate agents and the seller to give all the information. You failed to disclose that the air conditioning wasn't working. What's the job of estate agent? 🤔 to process the sale as soon as possible? Or ensure that the sale is correct and accurate? Nevertheless, I'll find out who i need to contact if there's no actions on the information missing from all correspondence. How do I go about my complaint?

Dear Mr Hussain, We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the sofa that you bought from the vendor of the property. I’m sure you appreciate that we can’t comment on the condition of the sofa as we have no knowledge of such but understand that you viewed the property with sofa in situ and that you were forwarded photographs of the sofa provided by the vendor. As your agreement to buy the sofa was with the vendor directly, it may be best if you discuss any possible course of redress with your solicitor. Likewise, regarding the air conditioning, I’m afraid we cannot comment on the condition or functioning. Your solicitor may have asked questions to the vendor’s solicitor about the air conditioning or requested records of servicing or details of any guarantee. Again, we politely suggest that you discuss the issue with your solicitor. I understand that my colleague has already emailed you before you posted your review advising as above and offering to speak with you if you require any further assistance. Please don’t hesitate to call if our response in unclear or if we can be of any further help.

Being new to Harrogate we hadn't considered them but it was a fantastic recommendation and we found the perfect place. All the staff are very knowledgeable and communications have been excellent. GoogleTook ages to answer the phone. Lady knew nothing about the property i was interested in, could not accommodate my free time to view it, said someone would ring me back, and never did. Makes you wonder if they want to sell properties! Seemed no interest at all

We contacted Verity Frearson who have a fantastic reputation for sales in the area. We had to postpone a couple of times and the valuer arrive well in advance of the appointment which was perfectly acceptable. The valuer was polite and ‘cut to the chase’ and advised that our current price was probably overvalued by as much as 50k and that the current online agents do little to sell properties. He briefly showed us similar properties that were either sold or for sale at much lower prices. ( He didn’t show us the other properties in the area on sale for similar or the same price, 200 metres from us) The Agent said that we could and probably would make up the reduction on the purchase of the next property. He left promising to email us his valuation and terms of business. We haven’t heard from him since. But the Elephant in the room for us is the fact that this company has now put a similar sized property ( granted it looks very bright and modern internally apart from the bathroom which looks to have issues and the loft isn’t boarded ) The garden is feature less and there isn’t a garage. Although in fairness we have upgraded garage that can only be used for storage and home to the chest freezer and dryer. We have a pond. This listed property is on the same road about 150 meters from us and directly opposite the other bungalow which for sale for the same price as us. The price of the now listed by Verity Frearson is £265000. Which hardly reflects the ‘downturn’ in pricing as explained. We have over the passed 40 yrs moved 13 times and a couple of those have been in downturns as well. I believe I am fair judge of property. We have invested thousands into this Bungalow. I feel we have received some very unrealistic and unreliable advice and to be honest we are grateful that the agent didn’t come back with the email. We are both in our late 60’s and have health issues and our next move will probably be our last. I shudder to think the dire consequences that could have followed if we had followed the agents advice. I don’t believe anyone should be slashing their prices by 50k and expecting a similar reduction on purchase and this scenario was devalued by their subsequent listing of the bungalow just up the road. I never received the email. The property up the road didn’t sell and has now undergone major refurbishment. We will wait until the market improves but I don’t believe in our case we were not treated fairly. VF valuation would mean our house has only increased by 1% since 2018. That clearly isn’t correct. The housing market always bounces back. Perhaps VF could say how much they managed to achieve for the Sandhill property which is of the same type as ours and listed at the same price as ours. Although it doesn’t have the property updates ours has.

Hi John, regarding your recent review. I am sorry you didn’t receive the follow up email outlining our proposal and valuation, this was sent the day after our visit - it perhaps might be worth checking your spam / junk box. In terms of value, as explained on visit, unfortunately we feel your current guide price is too high, hence the lack of viewings and definite interest with your current agent over the last few months. Whilst every property is individual, I believe our valuer spent time showing you comparable sales with ourselves / other agents and explaining the reasoning towards the revised pricing. We are always committed to obtaining the best price possible for our clients, but of course do want to offer a genuine and accurate valuation, importantly at a level the market will support. In relation to other property subsequently listed with our agency on your road, we do believe this is worth between £40k/£50k more than your own bungalow. Whilst there are always differences with every home, this property offers nearly 20% more square footage, is double fronted, having undergone a full refurbishment programme and the garden is approximately 50% bigger than your own - hence the difference in valuation. We note your property is still for sale and if you would like to chat through the valuation and your comments in more detail, we would be more than happy to do so. GoogleThere was a confusion when my details were recorded and their response didnt came through initially, agency called me after i reviewed them with one star and stating my complain and at first there was a request of demand to take down the review instead of asking why the review was placed in the first place. Summary - The Agency should engage more with evidence and facts before making assumptions that i already had gotten their email even though they could see in their first attempt that their response bounced back. One star is missing cause of the demand to take down the review initially instead of dealing with the issue.
