The Worst Experience Imaginable, Avoid This Agency At All Costs I am writing this review to warn others about the shocking lack of competence, effort, and basic human empathy from this agency. I purchased my property through them in April 2022 as a cash buyer after just one single viewing. Expecting some mutual loyalty and efficiency as a high-value returning client, I instructed them in early June to sell the property for £900,000. This is what I paid for the property 4 years ago and since added an annex and a dog grooming business to the property. In 4.5 months, we have not had one single viewing. I even reduced the price to £850,000, less than what I paid for it, and still, absolutely nothing. Blaming a "slow market" is a lazy excuse when the reality is a total failure of marketing and a complete lack of professional effort. The entire process has been a shambles from day one: Empty Promises from the start, The Managing Director explicitly promised he would personally look after my property. We have never seen him since. Instead of promised oversight, they repeatedly sent out rotating staff members to open days who knew absolutely nothing about the house. They didn't know the age of the property, its history, or how many owners it had. The office routinely messed up basic appointments, consistently providing incorrect dates for crucial bookings, including the scheduling of the property video. First video was an embarrassment missing the biggest filmed in the house. Zero Marketing Initiative, Basic marketing tools like a video, which they do automatically for properties worth £300,000, were only done because I begged for it. They think uploading a premium property to their own social media page is "advertising." What makes this truly unforgivable is that the agency was fully aware of my family’s circumstances. They knew my children lost their father to cancer two years ago and that this house is a constant, painful reminder. They also knew that I have personally endured eight major surgical procedures this year alone. They knew how vital and time-sensitive this move was for my family’s health and well-being. To know all of this and still treat our listing with zero care, prioritizing other properties while wasting five months of our lives without one single viewing, is a shameful failure of professional duty and human decency. Thanks to them, we have no hope of moving before the new year. I have terminated my contract with immediate notice, instructed a solicitor, and am lodging a formal complaint with The Property Ombudsman. If you want an agent who actually works, communicates, and possesses an ounce of professional integrity, LOOK ELSEWHERE

GoogleWe contacted Verity Frearson to arrange an appointment for a valuation as we have decide to sell our house. This will be our tenth sale in the last forty years so we have dealt with quite a few estate agents and most have given a good service but not Verity Frearson. Sam Newby finally arrived with us nearly an hour late and seemed ill prepared and thus unable to give an accurate valuation so left saying he would speak to a colleague and be back in touch with a valuation and details of the deal they could offer, two weeks later and we are still waiting. Not good enough especially when he stressed how quickly we needed to get on the market with the summer holiday lull approaching. We have now given instructions to another agent how have been helpful and professional right from the start

GoogleOur house purchase was unusual - a conversion from an office to a residential property with an extended timeline, an unengaged council and difficult solicitors - but Fiona Moore supported us through the whole journey. She was eager to contact stakeholders and managed the expectations of the seller even when things were touch and go! All in all, as good an experience as we could reasonably expect through an extremely stressful experience. Thanks again Fiona!

GoogleI had been warned about contacting Verity Frearson by a couple of friends of mine. But I thought I would call them anyway and see for my self. I called 3 times and received no answer , the forth time I was lucky. All I can say is, the lady that answered the phone was so rude she wouldn't let me get a word in about booking a valuation on my property. In the end I hung up. My advice would be, contact any other Estate Agent in the area but Verity Frearson. Which I did.

GoogleOffered to move our original booking to a later time but then didn't update their system. Arrived at the address and called as no one was there to meet us. Got told that they couldn't let us in as we had missed our appointment at 10 taking no ownership that it was their fault for not updating their system. Also did not offer to try and help in anyway saying that we should have checked for a confirmation email. Despite it being their fault they didn't offer to squeeze us in at the end of the day...very disappointed as we had travelled a fair way to see this house.

Having had my house listed with another agent late 2025, the difference in service and communication when listing with Verity has been amazing.
