Time to move on....

There were many positive things that could be said about Intercounty previously but over the course of the last 12/18 months the service provided to landlords has fallen off a cliff. Multiple call and emails needed to actually get anything done, errors in payments and, oh when they decided to close an office and sell the rental book to another firm, informed me at 8.55am on the day the transfer took place.

I have had nothing but the best service since first having a phone call with Mollie from Intercounty Old Harlow all the way through to renting a flat through Intercounty for around a month now. Since first ringing up, it has felt like I've been chatting to some friends and somehow managed to rent a flat off of them... Mollie has made the process much easier than I though it could be - even being able to have a laugh during the supposedly stressful renting process. After moving in, I was still checked up on and made to feel as though I had help with the flat whenever I needed it (something that was not at all necessary but made life much easier). There were a few issues with the flat after moving in, but Mollie, Will, and Maxine had these issues sorted out within days (if not hours) of myself bringing them up - with Will popping round to scope out the problems and, again, making the process much easier and calmer by having a chat and a laugh during. I can honestly say that it has been an absolute delight going through Intercounty Old Harlow, and I look forward to hopefully renewing rent or moving into a new place through them.

Thank God for intercounty

Thank God for intercounty, there should be more estate agents like them. I had gone to about 3 estate agents before intercounty and they were…you can fill in the gap ☺️. When I found a property I liked I was a bit skeptical about calling and viewing but I did and I’m now lounging on my sofa and sipping hot coco 😋. Mollie attended to me and made me feel like a superstar 😂. She was so friendly and professional I couldn’t believe people like her still existed. She was always in touch either by phone or email to keep me in the loop. I think she deserves a promotion 👍. Thank you Mollie and everyone working at intercounty Harlow branch, you guys are amazing 😊👏

I have used Intercounty a few times over the years, both the buy & rent. Both experiences where top class. Over the last few months Intercounty have helped me sell my property with exception ease, even during a global pandemic. The communication with their team is second to none, whether that be via email, phone or in person. They are all very knowledgeable about the markets they work in and are always happy to offer advice.The contact i had with the Bishops Stortford team was amazing. I would like to thank Olivia, James & Doug for all their help and would of course recommend not only the estate agent but these specific people in the Bishops Stortford Office.

Me and my boyfriend are first time renters and were looking for a place we could move into quick. Intercounty did exactly that! We were moved in within a month of viewing the property which was exactly what we wanted!Mollie at Intercounty was so helpful during our viewings and moving in. Rebecca Keeling is with no doubt a 5 star state agent! She’s been since the first second we met so welcoming, charming, warm and super super super helpful. She really made me visualise some things that I was struggling with in terms of space giving me different options so nicely and professional. She always has a big smile on her face that you can still notice wearing the mask! I honestly don’t know how my experience with Mollie at Intercounty could have been any better. From my first enquiry on the website to move in day was a little over two weeks! I’ve had more trouble getting my car serviced. George in Braintree Office on Different Level to Competition

I hardly ever write reviews and people are quick to complain and slow to give praise so I felt I had to do this review. I contacted all the agents in Braintree and surrounding area and by a country mile George at Intercounty was on a different level to the other agents I spoke to. Of course I want a much better property than I can probably afford, who doesn't but the help George gave me was the single best bit of advice I have been given. He was so knowledgeable about renting, asked me questions others didn't and suggested I write down a list of needs and wants explaining these are two very different things. He suggested that I should focus on my needs property wise and if he could find a property that covers my needs then the essentials are covered and I might be lucky enough with the odd want included. I told him in an ideal world I would like three bedrooms as my daughter lived with me and she had a car but I walked to work so I wanted plenty of parking. He then said ok thanks for that so let me explain what I mean. Ok you have a daughter that lives with you who drives, you walk to work in town so essentially your NEEDS ARE two bedrooms and parking for 1 car ideally within walking distance of town or close to a bus stop so you can get to work but you would like an extra bedroom and more parking if at all possible but overall the 3rd bedroom and parking for cars you do not have may not be essential so these become YOUR WANTS. He suggested I look at 2 bedrooms with parking as a starting point and maybe beyond if viable. I was amazed at the level head on his shoulders and wondered why I had never thought of it like that and why none of the other agents had got into my mind like George. I started to look at my way forward with a much clearer and with a realistic head on and indeed he is so right so rather than trying to find the impossible I am now looking at properties I can actually afford and as long as my needs are fulfilled any wants included will be an added bonus. Thanks George for focusing my mind you were so helpful and if at all possible it will be Intercounty I rent from and not one of the other agents.

Intercounty Harlow Letting

I mainly dealt with Mollie from Intercounty and she was a delight from start to finish. Due to my work circumstances I had given her a rather rushed timeline for getting the property I was interested in. Regardless of that, her and the Harlow team managed to navigate around the short space of time and the current covid climate we find ourselves in. I was very impressed that background checks, landlord contact, inventories and contracts were able to be done so quickly in a world where it’s getting difficult to organise anything. I was very reassured throughout as she was always in contact and answered any questions I had. I wouldn’t hesitate to go through her/ Intercounty Harlow again, highly recommended!
