GoogleWe went to live to Harlesden, in the High Street, and before moving in we asked about the area and levels of noise. They said it wasn't noisy. When we moved in this house in particular, we realised it had no sound insulation and you could hear the noise from the street until late hours at night (2am, 3am, 4am, ...). When we reported it, the agency neither landlord felt accountable for it, and we still had nearly a year of tenancy left, making it very difficult to sleep at night. Moreover, at the end of the tenancy we were taken a good part of our deposit. As a tenant I will not go back to any of their properties but hope some of these issues can be resolved soon. Apart from this, the staff has been responsive and friendly.NegativeQuality, Value
Dear Aida, Sorry you feel that Reliable Homes deserve a 1 Star review. We can only got by previous tenants comments when living in the area and property, and the flats in the building let quickly and we have some long term tenants in the block, if they were not happy they wouldn’t extend every year to stay longer. Every area have their good and bad points and I would always advise to do your own research on area, amenities etc. as one person’s needs and opinion on an area can be different to someone else’s. This is all very individual. We do not know how tenants living habits will be when they move into a property. Whenever an issue was reported this was dealt with straight away. We cannot control tenants they are humans, we can raise complaints and send warnings etc. We would also need adequate proof to take matters further for the landlord. We did not take part of the deposit the landlord did. We are not making money, we are managing the property so we dealt with the deposit release process. The process is fair and the deposit is registered in a deposit scheme therefore is protected for the reasons that the landlord cannot just take your money. We compared the original inventory and checkout report and came up with the dilapidations etc. We advised you of the price to put things right and you agreed. If you did not agree to the deductions you could have raised a dispute through the DPS scheme this is what they are there for. But you agreed to the deductions and the refund was processed accordingly. We have your emails as proof in this instance. We have assisted you throughout your tenancy and I believe your comments are unfair and not true. I know you have listed the bad experiences but how about all the good thigs we have done and assisted with? We value all of our clients and try our best to keep our standards as high as possible and I believe you received good customer service from our management team and lettings team throughout. Some things are out of our hands but we try the best we can to assist where we can. Sorry once again you feel this way. Kind regards, Elena Orna Director

Not only did John find me tenant(s) for my multiple properties quickly, so that I had no void periods, I was happy with the private tenants that he found, and the rental values that he achieved were phenomenal - more than I thought I would get. I have been working with John for more than a decade now, and there is a reason why he is the only agent that I use; he ALWAYS does a fantastic job!

GoogleAs the name suggests, Reliable Homes have always been an excellent and reliable agency from beginning to end. Their staff was so supportive and professional when I was looking for a studio flat in London while I was living abroad. They organised a viewing via FaceTime for me which was amazing and very helpful. They explained to me every step and answered all my questions with patience and super quick! Also, while moving out of the flat Reliable Homes have been supportive and always keeping me in the loop in regards to viewings for the new tenant. I wish every letting agency would be so supportive, trustworthy, and friendly as the staff at Reliable Homes. I can only recommend them.

GoogleEmailed us one month before Christmas and the expiry of our lease to say if we wanted to renew rent would be increased by an eye watering 42%. We were naturally upset and worried because we could not afford that and therefore risked being made homeless in the middle of winter, in a cost of living crisis. Emailed our landlord to plead for a smaller increase (we pitched halfway between our then rent and the 42% increase to try and be reasonable, although this was still a massive and unjustified increase). He told us he had never told them to increase to the figure they had told us, but it meant we got stuck with the figure we offered. Tricked into bargaining against ourselves. Reliable Homes never even apologised or explained themselves. They're always quick to chase if rent isn't received before the end of the payment day though!
