Husband died, receive a letter to say they would pay the claim and to send through the Grant of probate. Had a thank you card from Winstons wishes for their payout. Then had an letter to say they weren’t paying out. The stress and anxiety this has caused has been awful. Would have given zero if I could.

Had my Catalytic Convertor stolen and…

Had my Catalytic Convertor stolen and claimed on policy (Covea) on the Wednesday when we discovered the theft. The car was collected Friday, repaired and delivered back to me on Monday. A courtesy car was provided and collected. Sam handled the claim and was sympathetic, helpful and very efficient. The repairers kept me posted throughout and were always polite and helpful. My experience couldn’t have been better. Very impressed!

The most incompetent insurance provider...

Literally the most incompetent insurance company we've ever had to deal with. We have a landlords policy with them and they have tried everything under the sun to avoid paying out. 9 months later we haven't had a penny and are still disputing it with them. A complaint has been made to the Financial Ombudsman and I'd suggest everyone avoid taking out any form of insurance with this company.

Coves very helpful Hastings awful website

I had a long wait with Hastings direct with no information how long I'd have to wait. I tried to submit the claim several time and it just stopped each time not allowing me to proceed. A deeply frustrating experience. Things improved enormously when I got through to sophie at covea although the line was very poor. She was very reassuring and helpful
