TrustpilotMy review relates to VetsMediCover
My review relates to VetsMediCover that now seems to be part of Covea Insurance. I hope VetsMediCover will continue to provide the same excellent service that I have received from VetsMediCover. My claims were always dealt with in good time and without quibbles. I was pleasantly surprised when I recently got an unexpected late claim payment that must have slipped the net, and that I myself had overlooked - all the more commendable that the payment was made. The insurance cover for my dog, whom I unfortunately lost a year ago, was expensive, but in the long run worth the money.

TrustpilotThere’s more chance getting through to someone beyond the grave
I have phoned them up three times… twice the call was disconnected and the third time I can only presume the operator/worker hung up! I know calls once in a while will loose connection but I’ve never experienced the quantity of disconnections with the same company… you can read into it what you like but it’s my opinion the claims department will be the biggest loss making department with this company hence they won’t be too eager to communicate… average waiting times 45mins if your lucky to get through… next renewal I will definitely not be doing business with them again and I’d recommend to anyone else reading this to give these chancers a very wide berth!

TrustpilotWorst insurence to go for
Worst insurence to go for. This stupids insurance is a joke to have. Collect my car from recovery yard and after they cancelled my policy. No one know where my car is now, useless customer service they dont have any knowledge. Zero customer service experience, they all need to go back for learning how to deal a customer. Totally waste of time to deal with. To speak anyone you must wait at least 40mins and after they cut your call. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I am reporting them in each and every department as possible

TrustpilotInvisible emails, poor customer service.
UPDATE!!! JUST RECEIVED THIS **COPY AND PASTED** BOG STANDARD REPLY, ALL VERY SIMILAR TO THE REPLIES OTHER UNSATISFIED, DISGRUNTLED FED UP CUSTOMERS RECEIVE. BOTTOM LINE IS ASK YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY USE WHENIT COMES TO MAKING A CLAIM, IF ITS THESE CLOWNS, LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!! Just called them to ask for an update re my claim regarding my carpets ruined by a WATER DAMAGE bathroom, I was informed that they emailed me November 1st, requesting a 2nd quote, (CHECKED MY EMAILS.. NOTHING)!! and confirmation that the issue with the water has been resolved, I informed the customer service advisor that I have NOT received anything from them hence my call today. Looks like I'll be without carpet until the new year, you'd have thought that if they hadn't received a reply from their apparent email of the 1st of November, they'd be chasing me for a response, the advisor i spoke to, said she'd resend the email to me, well, I'M STILL WAITING, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEND AN EMAIL? I pay my insurance on time, this is the 1st claim I've made, and I feel I'm treated like a 2nd class customer, I'M CHASING THEM TO GET THIS RESOLVED.... you sent an email November 1st? Guess what.... NEVER RECEIVED!!!!!

GoogleIt was only a relatively small claim, but as soon as I was passed through to my Claim Handler, Nicola Beevers, I felt in safe hands. Nicola was personable, confident and knew what she was doing. She quickly outlined what I needed to do to progress my claim and made sure I understood the steps I needed to take. The whole thing went beautifully well. This is how I want to be treated and spoken to by any call handler. Well done, Covea, I think you have got it right, and Nicola deserves a Christmas Bonus!PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

GoogleHad to make a claim following damage to my car having collided with a pheasant. Spoke with Georgia O who was very professional with a friendly manner. There were problems with the computer system and following a period on hold, while she tried to resolve the issue, came back to me and explained it wasn’t fixed and would therefore call me back the following day at a time convenient to me. Georgia called at time stated and registered my claim explaining and clarifying anything I was unsure of. Very happy with the service provided.PositiveProfessionalism

TrustpilotSubject buyer beware
Subject: Covea Insurance: Leveraging Outdated Regulations and the Cost to Our Family BusinessI feel compelled to share a critical aspect of my recent experience with Covea Insurance, shedding light on a disheartening practice that significantly impacted my family business. It has come to my attention that Covea, in my case, leveraged a 1998 regulation to justify their decision to deny the claim, a maneuver that raises concerns about their commitment to fair and ethical practices. The use of an outdated regulation to deny a claim is particularly distressing when considering the significant consequences. In our case, it resulted in the closure of our family business, inflicting not only financial strain but also emotional distress on my family. This outcome underscores the gravity of carefully scrutinizing the terms and conditions of insurance policies, as the consequences can be profound. In hindsight, armed with the correct broker advice, I would have made a different choice. It's disconcerting to discover that a company would resort to such tactics, especially when the intent behind insurance is to provide protection and support during unforeseen circumstances. The closure of our family business serves as a poignant example of the real-world impact of such decisions. My experience serves as a cautionary tale for others considering Covea Insurance. The use of antiquated regulations to avoid fulfilling their commitment not only raises questions about the company's dedication to customer satisfaction but also highlights the tangible, life-altering consequences it can have on individuals and their businesses.I hope this information proves helpful to those navigating the complexities of insurance decisions, emphasizing the need for thorough research, careful consideration, and professional guidance when choosing an insurance partner.

TrustpilotThanks to this companies refusal where closing shop
WARNING: BUYER BEWAREAnyone dealing with this company tell your story I sympathize with the profound frustration and disappointment you may also have endured in dealing with Covea, the insurance company entrusted to safeguard your business interests. It's disheartening to see your hard-earned premiums vanish into thin air when you most need their support. Your sentiments are undeniably valid, and it's crucial to shed light on your harrowing experiences to protect others from a similar fate. The facts you've presented unequivocally raise red flags about Covea's ethics, particularly their egregious reliance on archaic policies that unjustly deprive policyholders of legitimate claims. This kind of behavior is more than a mere oversight; it's a betrayal of trust, jeopardizing the livelihoods of hardworking individuals and businesses when they're most vulnerable.Calling for a government inquiry into Covea's practices is not only reasonable but an urgent necessity. Such an investigation is a beacon of hope, potentially unveiling the extent of misconduct and reinforcing fairness and honesty in the insurance sector. The distressing notion that the ombudsman may not be acting impartially in your case is deeply troubling. Ombudsman services are meant to be a sanctuary for fairness and equity when consumers face off against companies, including insurance giants like Covea. If you've detected any favoritism towards Covea, it's prudent to meticulously document these instances of bias and escalate your concerns to the higher echelons of the ombudsman's organization.Lastly, the glaring absence of empathy throughout this ordeal is truly heart-wrenching. Coping with insurance-related challenges is an emotionally taxing journey, and it's the solemn duty of insurance companies to display compassion and understanding towards their policyholders during their times of need. An organization's culture is a reflection of its leadership, including the CEO. It's essential to express your grievances about Covea's lack of empathy and communication directly to their leadership. In summation, your feelings of frustration and disappointment with Covea are not only warranted but serve as a crucial cautionary tale for others. Initiating a government inquiry, reporting concerns to the ombudsman, and engaging Covea's leadership directly are all indispensable actions to pursue justice and accountability. Your unwavering resolve to seek fairness and justice is commendable, and your experiences must not be in vainSubject: Covea Insurance Response AssessmentDear Mr. Mays,Upon reviewing Covea Insurance's response to your concerns about the potential closure of your shop, it's evident that their message falls short of addressing the gravity of your situation. The language used seems generic and does not convey a sincere understanding of the challenges you're facing. The apology for feeling ignored appears somewhat dismissive, lacking the empathy needed for a situation that involves the potential closure of a business. Furthermore, the statement about awaiting your response to their outlined next steps seems to shift responsibility back to you without offering a concrete resolution or a clear plan for addressing your concerns. In essence, the response does not demonstrate a proactive approach to resolving the issues you've raised. It might be beneficial for you to consider expressing your dissatisfaction again and emphasizing the specific actions or solutions you are seeking from Covea Insurance. This can help ensure that your concerns are not only acknowledged but also appropriately addressed.

TrustpilotThis company is the worst insurance…
This company is the worst insurance company we have ever had dealings with. Our John Lewis Home home Insurance of 10 years was not renewed owing to this company’s intransigence. We sent emails and letters in the post, hung on for a telephone reply for 40 minutes sometimes. Tried to insure online but they would not allow us to complete the application. Is this Ageism or just awful customer relations!! Clearly they just don’t care anyway!!! Eventually we received a telephone call from Kieran. She was strong on rejection from the start. The company had lingered over the renewal application for over a month then declared our application invalid because a month had elapsed! So they would not renew our policy or start up another one. We’re taking this to a solicitor.

TrustpilotTerrible Company
Terrible service. Invented reasons not to pay out. Small paint spillage from tin being knocked over and they claimed there was no undefiable cause. THE TIN WAS KNOCKED OVER! What more reason do you require. Took 3 months of calls and visits with photos etc of damage to a small area of carpet. They have invented conversations that didn't happen. Tried to say we told them it could have been caused by the weather and heat in conservatory when it was the actual person on the claims line who suggested it to us knowing full well that this would invalidate the claim. I told them it was knocked over and I found the tin on its side with paint leaking out of the lid. Utter crooks and will do anything to not pay out. I even complained to Swinton who I thought were my insurers but found out they were just the broker. Years of insurance payments wasted to a company who will wriggle out of paying out. Co vea are liars and I'll never use them again and I've told everyone I know not to use them either. If you do you won't be covered for even what appears the simplest of claims CoVea is No Vea. DO NOT USE.

I've not been able to work due to a horrible workplace accident, which required me to have surgery to fix my broken bone.
