Recently rented my house through Bridgfords and the process from start to finish was faultless. The worst out there

The worst out there, put us through so much drama, very stressful and mentally draining, their mortgage broker is absolutely useless, 4 months later we were declined, absolute waste of time, waste of energy, they just didn't want us to buy it for some reason, maybe because we are a different skin colour to them! Stay away from the burnley branch, good lord, how do they get away with this bs.

Bridgfords has helped me and my partner find the perfect first home for us to rent, and it's all thanks to Alex Dalglish. She has been insanely helpful in arranging a property viewing with a tenant who still lives where we are applying for, and she managed to speak to the landlord regarding some personal issues from the past that has helped me and my partner massively, couldn't have asked for a better person to assist us on our journey and they definitely need more people like her in this industry :)

After dealing with two other agents, I called into Bridgfords to see if they had any available rentals. Within two hours I had viewed and applied for my new home. Process was made simple and easy by the Bridgfords team. I’m due to move into my new home less than two weeks after first viewing. Excellent service, I cannot recommend strongly enough how friendly, helpful and efficient they have been. They went over and above my every expectation. Bridgfords are definitely the ones to visit in Halifax if you are looking for a rental, house purchase or sale of your home.

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents…

Bridgefords are the worst estate agents i have ever come across, i am so glad i did not decide to sell my house with them! They never answer the calls, constantly leaving voicemails, very rarely they call you back! I viewed a property with them a week or so ago & no follow up phone call the following day, I wanted to make an offer , left several voicemails & nothing! Please avoid Bridgefords at all costs. They are the worst estate agents i have ever come across. Please stay away!

Amazing work by Lee Johnson. Lee was extremely accommodating and approachable while booking appointments or when we have any doubts about the application process. Gave detailed info about mortgage application- this was especially helpful as we are first-time buyers with no idea how loan application works here. Got us the best available loan product which suited our needs, from amongst the ones which we were eligible for. Would highly recommend him for a mortgage application if you are buying your house.

One of the worst company i have ever dealt with. I was booked to show a property. However, when I arrived there, no agents or anyone around to show me. I waited almost 45 minutes and knocking on door but there was noone to show the property potentially i was going to buy. I rang them which went repeatedly into voicemail. I emailed the agent who booked me in saying i am outside the door but not received any correspondence. They did not call me on that day to see where i was. They did not inform me that they will not be able to show me around. They have mislead me and lied to me. According to Trading Standards they have been in breached. The branch Manager have been very awful to me, no professionalism and did not resolve this issue. Infact kept on lieing to me saying his colleague was at the property when he/she wasn’t. The manager was talking over me would not believe me the fact i was at the property on time to my appointment and waited 45 min But there was noone at the property. The manager further stated they called me and left voicemail however I received no calls from them. I asked for a proof to show me they have called or they were at the property but he would not show me stating he does not need to show proof. This company is a scam including the workers in Halifax branch are scammers and bunch of liers. I request everyone please do not go for this company whether u want to buy or sale. They are not trustworthy and certainly they have such a poor customer service is unbelievable. They will waste your time and money and they will not show you property. If they can do this to me they will do to everyone else. This company needs to be banned or needs to be brought into CEO or director attention as to what they di and they are getting away with this. I will further report this to property ombudsman and financial ombudsman and trading standard authority.

We only dealt with Lee the mortgage advisor, we started the process two years ago however we had trouble with my other half being self employed. We went back to him recently for Lee to help us, he did everything he could to get us a mortgage! We had many issues with the banks and them changing rates and getting mortgages offered to us then taken away, lee did everything he could to make us feel better and help us. He was very kind and helpful and would be at the end of the phone if we needed any help especially with us being first time buyers, we had alot of questions and Lee answered them all. I would recommend Lee to anyone!!!

We met Lee Johnson from Countrywide without any knowledge about house buying or what is needed to make it happen. He enabled us to create our credit profile as we had never had credit before and needed this to get a mortgage. He told us everything about getting the maximum we can afford from our salaries, making sure we had the best mortgage provider/rate and also ensuring that if anything bad was to happen, the house and our earnings would be covered and the house would be paid for! Lee I cannot thank you enough for enabling me and my wife go from renting to homeowners with peace of mind. Especially during a time of mortgage uncertainty (late 2022). Fantastic work! Valuation?? They can't be bothered!

Booked in a valuation with Bridgfords. They called the following morning at 830 which was very efficient. Was advised over the phone that this would take 30 minutes. Had a phone call from the Sale branch on the morning of the appointment. Asked if i intended to put my house up for sale, said it would be dependent on the equity we have in the house. He said the valuation would take and hour and a half and he could send a virtual valuation. It sounded like the guy couldn't be bothered at all. If this is the level of experience you get from someone that is trying to get your business, I would hate to think about the experience you would have selling through this place. Really poor service!

Absolutely fantastic experience after being evicted due to a maintenance problem that had be ongoing we found a property with Bridgefords, they were brilliant start to finish especially Sarah, nothing was too much for her, any questions were answered promptly. Less than 3 weeks from holding deposit security to moving in. Even received a welcome package on the day of moving in, which was a really nice touch. Couldn’t fault it at All!! 1000% recommend!
