GoogleI had wonderful service from Hicks Hadley over the many years they acted as my agents on my property rental. The staff were knowledgable and helpful. Always available to take my calls or called me back quickly. They vetted my prospective tenants very well and subsequently I never had a problem with my tenants. Thank you all very much.

GoogleDO NOT accept a property without seeing it for yourself and consider any 'online viewing only' as a major red flag. Viewed a flat online and only upon moving in did I find out how many corners had been cut in its refurbishment.

Unfortunately because it's now 3 months since your tenancy began and in this time the property was sold by your previous landlord we can't help resolve any of the issues you are having. If you had contacted us prior to this we would have been able to speak to your landlord but we have no relationship with your current landlord and don't manage the property. With regard to video viewings, they have been a successful feature of our service for many years but became vital during covid by allowing us to keep our clients and staff safer. Most properties are available with in-person viewings but occasionally video viewings are necessary to manage demand. We do however sympathize with you and understand that tenants and landlord’s standards of presentation may sometimes differ. We don't accept sub-par properties and pride ourselves in striving to improve the quality of our stock, and work in partnership with landlords to do this. All members of management and the lettings team have been briefed on your comments but as we didn't receive a complaint before the review and all pre-tenancy health, safety and compliance procedures were followed we have not had an opportunity to influence your landlord to address any of your observations. We recommend contacting your new landlord or their managing agent to see if they will resolve any outstanding issues and wish you good luck.

GoogleContrary to Mr Morris' review I find that Hicks Hadley staff try to assist in any way possible - even arranging to stay late and meet prospective tenants and/or landlords out of their normal working hours. I believe that they put more effort and time into customer satisfaction than most other Lettings Agents.

GoogleWHEN WE PURCHASED OUR BUNGALOW IN JUNE 2013 WE FOUND HICKS AND HADLEY OUR ESTATE AGENT VERY HELPFUL ,FROM THE TIME AN AGENT SHOWED US AROUND THE PROPERTY TILL THE ACTUALL COMPLETION OF THE SALE . In relation to their management of rented properties. Due to maintenance issue, Hicks Hadley were repeatedly asked to complete repairs, these requests often fell on deaf ears and when maintenance was completed, it was to such poor standard that it needed doing again. After repeated requests were made on a certain maintenance matter it was obvious that Hicks Hadley were not prepared to manage the property with a tenant who raised issues that highlighted their incompetence. This resulted in a suspected revenge eviction by them. I have since found that revenge evictions which were made illegal by law in 2015.
