Keatons Deptford are hard work

So many things in the flat that havent worked and so much forth and back with Keaton's, including what is borderline humiliating requests for evidence of our claims. The washing machine, the fridge, the radiators and other things. They say they arent responsible for checking that appliances work before you move in, and perhaps thats right, but dont expect a functional flat with them.The way they then deal with requests is unstructured and piecemeal, so you are forced to keep going back to old emails to keep track. Just now the radiators were fixed so that they can actually get warm. However, the temperature can't be lowered again on individual radiators, so it is either all radiators on full heating or all off. Since this additional issue with the radiators was only discovered some time after the engineer had left (it takes time for a radiator to cool off), we need someone to come back, but Keaton's keep asking question after question in separate emails, seemingly trying to drag things. Now they have even asked us to film how we rotate the handles, suggesting we are entirely incapable of very simple things. Scott, the office manager, seems like a good guy, but it is really hard work to get things fixed with them (and this is without regarding the usual time it takes the landlord to approve things), and apparently Scott's policies for staff arent effective, so we'd not recommend Keatons, unfortunately.

Keaton's replaced the oven in one day after I raised a concern (the oven kept tripping the switch in the fusebox when it reached temperature). Completely replaced the next day to a great quality oven with no issues.

Uninformed and unhelpful agency

Keatons is the rental agency assigned to the London flat we just moved into. The rental agent who gave us the initial viewings, Millie, was unable to provide us with any useful information about the flat, including anything about the internet provider. She assured us the flat was new, spotless, everything was in perfect working condition, and there was nothing to worry about. Through the landlord, Millie and the staff at Keatons pressured us to move in earlier than we initially wanted. On move-in day, the landlord refused to meet us to show us around, so we had to figure everything out by ourselves and there were a lot of new tech/electronics that were confusing to use. The heating system kept on breaking down. The carpets were filthy and we had to vacuum it ourselves, and the bathrooms/toilets were disgusting from all the workers who had used it before we moved in and didn't clean up after themselves. We had no idea how to deal with the garbage/bins/waste situation, and there was no internet set up. We reached out to the landlord, who told us to figure these out for ourselves. These are things the landlord is supposed to manage PRIOR to the tenant moving in, not for the tenant to handle. And the rental agency is supposed to do all these checks with the landlord to ensure this is all set up prior to the start of tenancy. None of this was done, and 3 weeks after move-in, we are still living in a flat with no internet in the middle of London, and with our garbage piling up in the garage because we have no bins to put them out in.

Well done, I would not hesitate to recommend you..

I have already had an excellent opinion about Elizabeth Prize so when I was advised that they were bought by another company I was very sceptical and in addition, my expectations were high. Keaton's honestly did not disappoint. The staff have always been friendly, professional and courteous. I recently went through the process of the tenant vacating, re-marketing and finding a new tenant. This entails a lot of work and good co-ordination and thanks to Ross's leadership and Charlotte's and Elza's runaround it all worked out very well in the end.
