I've recently started renting from Foxtons. They are both the letting agent and the managing agent. I have never paid so much for such a bad service. None of the extractor fans work, my heating doesnt work, the curtain rods are bent and now one has fallen off & luckily no one got hurt because they have taken so long to resolve the issues. I'm wondering is this even legal?

I contacted ONE agent for a specific property viewing, and it has turned into a total nightmare. I am being hounded by at least FOUR different colleagues from this branch. The frequency is beyond unprofessional, I just received 2 calls in the span of 5 minutes.

As a landlord (don't hate me!) paying for a managed service, they tried to charge me £90 + vat to fix a meter door with two cable ties. This is typical, and I have to chase them repeatedly for everything. My tenants and I deserve better.

I had an incredibly unfair and unprofessional experience with the Foxtons Deposits Team. We moved out in October 2025, yet it took five months for any clarity regarding our deposit, a delay that felt like a tactical move to strip us of our right to provide counter-evidence.

GoogleI've only been living in a Foxton's advertised and managed flat for less than 2 weeks, however I did want to take a minute to sing Michael Roger's praises. From the first interaction Michael was immediately available with a call or text, more than anyone I'd encountered in my lengthy search for an apartment. His responsiveness is likely why I am a Foxton's customer today. I could go into detail about how he went above & beyond what is normally expected of a letting agent but to keep it short, you'd be very fortunate to work with him. Thanks again, Michael and Foxton's.

GoogleScrolling down I notice a lot of reviews about Rav but for the property we are purchasing, I was allocated Ryan. Upon first impressions, Ryan is very professional not only on how he presents himself but also on how he conducts business. He was prepared with facts about the property we viewed. For questions he didn't know the answer to, he openly said he didn't know. He reassured us that he'll find out the answer, in which he didn't fail to follow up on. GoogleI worked with Rav from the Hackney agency and out of all of the estate agents I have been talking to he is most informed and responsive. He was able to quickly grasp what I was looking for, very knowledgeable about the areas around Hackney, knew the process inside and out (helpful for a first time buyer), and never took more than an hour to respond to any inquiry no matter what day or time. He was really professional and friendly, great at answering/returning my calls, and took me to view a large number of flats in one go (all of which matched my search criteria so I felt like it was a really effective use of my time). GoogleI have to say in all honesty that Ryan Austin Davis at Foxtons Hackney was highly personable and professional from the get-go with my looking into a help-to-buy option for my first flat and followed up and encouraged me when I was a bit overawed by the whole enterprise. It seemed a lot to deal with and Ryan made it doable and made things happen for me when I might not have followed through. Great work. Thanks.

Our experience with Foxtons has been nothing short of frustrating. From the very beginning, communication was poor. Before moving in, emails went unanswered or delayed, and once we raised urgent issues like a serious mold problem, it was not addressed in a timely manner. We also went without heating for weeks in the winter before finally being given a few space heaters as a stop-gap.

There has only been 1 staff member at Foxtons that I find competent. The 1 star is for the one person who had great customer service- who unfortunately is not leading on the sale.
