So helpful, supportive and friendly

We have just moved house and the Partnership (specifically Becca and Buddhima) handled the conveyancing for our sale and purchase. Each step was great; the online portal was clear so that we could see which stage we were at, what we needed to do, what we could expect. It was also really convenient for sending messages and having all the history in one place. We uploaded documents there too, so minimal need for posting forms to and fro. We received regular updates and were able to get through on the phone as well if we wanted to. I felt they were very thorough, and explained our options at each step. they were patient and understanding, as well as pretty determined given someone else in our chain had chosen solicitors who were not very motivated to get things through quickly! Thank you so much, we will certainly be recommending you if anyone we know decides to move house!

Wouldnt use anyone else

We have used The Partnership twice now to buy and sell, and also recommended them to friends. No one has ever been disappointed! Conveyancing isnt sexy and can be boring and frustrating. The Partnership have managed to turn this process into a slick and hassle-free experience. The portal is intuitive and easy to use - and at the end of the experience you are glad you have everything in one easy record, rather than lots of email threads. Their pricing is very reasonable - and to top it off everyone you deal with this is lovely. A big recommend from us

I had a really good experience with The Partnership. We had 3 property transactions with them and honestly, I was very impressed with how it was all dealt with, within one portal. The portal was fantastic; not like anything I’ve had before, none of the old school emailing. It was very organised and very professional, showing at what stage the transactions were at and how much was left. This was great because it gave me an idea of what to expect next. All your documents are stored together too. Every time a new message came through on the portal, I would get a text message and also an email notification. This was great because it meant communication would never get missed. My solicitor Laura and her assistant Johnny, did a wonderful job with it all. I liked how their searches were in depth and they made sure nothing was missed. If you’re looking for a professional and organised solicitor, I would honestly recommend The Partnership to all.

Clear, direct and thorough communication. We found the platform easy to use and understand, the docs are organised, and it's rewarding to see the process as it advances. The staff is helpful and friendly, and it's easy to get a hold of them. We only have one complaint, by the end of our process, where they could have suggested an easier/quicker solution to an issue we faced. Whenever I spoke to the two solicitors on my team they were well informed, helpful and polite. However I found there was often a delay in responding to my questions which I presume was because of the pressure of the amount of work they both were coping with. I found the last 3 weeks nail biting as we got closer to the completion date and had not fixed exchange. I could have done with much morepersonal contact - I know I am old fashioned but nothing replaces being able to talk to people regularly, especially on something as stressful as a house purchase. However many thanks to them both for finalising the deals and keeping calm throughout!

Good technical platform for processes but lacking when it came to the human interactions

Despite the fact that the portal they utilise is set up to make things clear and straightforward, unfortunately our experience with the solicitor themselves was frustrating. Step by step we were misled or left in the dark and often responses were untimely or wooly. We were transparent about being first-time buyers in the UK but just couldn't get clear advice. We'd had a good experience with another solicitor at the firm but sadly, it was luck of the draw when it came to completing our purchase. I'd say the experience as a whole was well set-up but the transparency of the technical portal couldn't outweigh the largely negative and frustrating experience we had at the hands of the person responsible for our case.

The remote portal system works well, our team were very responsive to our messages, though there were a few problems getting answers later on in the sale process. We ironed these out together and the team were very helpful, charming and confidence inspiring.Communication and the flow of information is very important, especially when so much of the process happens behind a curtain and involves the buyers' solicitors too. Selling a house can be very stressful and in our opinion a good solicitor is one who understands this and helps clients by being communicative throughout and confidence-inspiring. In the end this is what leads to word of mouth recommendation I think

No hesitation in recommending The Partnership

I would have no hesitation in recommending The Partnership to act for you in any property sale and/or purchase. We have used them before and, following our recommendation, so have many of our friends and family. The Partnership have a fantastic, user friendly client portal where you can access all correspondence, view and upload documents and see, via a summary 'pie cart' the progress being made towards exchange of contracts and then completion. We have been kept informed at every stage of the process and any questions that we have raised have been answered immediately. We telephoned on just one occasion and our call was taken by the person dealing with our case - there was no delay or passing on. This, again, has been a stress free process with The Partnership.

I was recommended the Partnership by our estate agent as they were faster than some of the more traditional solicitors. Their portal system allows you to track exactly where you are in the conveyancing process. This is very clear and helpful as well as being much more secure than just using emails. However, for me, the best feature were the sad or smiley faces that you can press at any time to give feedback. Every time there was a mistake and I pressed the sad face, I got an instant response from further up the chain. Mistakes are inevitable, especially at this busy time, but how a firm responds to mistakes is what makes them stand out.

As a first-time buyer with little…

As a first-time buyer with little knowledge of the legal process, I found the portal incredibly informative and useful in explaining what exactly was happening during the process of buying our property. It was an easy way for us to see what exactly was happening during each stage, without us having to consult our Solicitor every time. With that said, we did find communication to be slow at times, which did get a little frustrating. I appreciate that we were buying at an incredibly busy time (due to the stamp duty holiday), but we did feel that, at times, the amount of work that had been taken on sacrificed our progress and experience.Nonetheless, I would recommend The Partnership to others, and see no significant reason why we wouldn't use them again in the future.

Unresponsive and Overpriced

The service provided by The Partnership was the worst customer experience I've ever had. We received limited updates on progress, or response to queries (without chasing multiple times per query) save the bombardment of emails in the final 72-hours to cover their own requirements. I also don't agree that a manually updated pie-chart constitutes "unique technology".I was required to scrutinise every document they submitted, having noted multiple mistakes, on multiple documents, multiple times. I congratulate anyone with the mental agility and confirmation bias to pat themselves on the back and say "but we completed only a week after your originally proposed completion date". Deadline dates are put in place for a reason, and this delay came at a great expense to my partner and I. We should have heard the alarm bells when no one from The Partnership would not commit to any dates. My assessment of the service was that the company was willing to accept business when they were beyond the capacity at which they could service a client as well as they claim they would like to. I felt that i was forced to manage much more of the document control, process, minuting meetings, schedule and delivery than any customer should have to. Maybe I should be grateful for the crash course in Conveyancing?Looking at reviews, we are clearly an outlier with our experience. This neither makes it any more palatable, nor changes my intentions to steer people away from using the Partnership.Anyway, shouldn't flog it too hard. My mind is clear - don't use the Partnership, I won't be. Four close friends have since completed with other solicitors on my recommendation to avoid.

Difficult

I used The Partnership for the sale of my flat. My experience started and ended well, but was difficult in-between. I felt there was miscommunication and confusion regarding insurance policies, and they didn't seem to understand or care. Since I was a relatively low value sale/customer, I wonder if they just didn't have time for me. I'm also not entirely convinced by the portal, and being passed from person to person; I would prefer more continuity.
