The Partnership solicitors are AMAZING

The Partnership solicitors are fantastic at what they do. They are helpful, there system and processes are outstanding, communication is brilliant. I really cant fault them in anyway. Mandeep and Poonam my solicitors in particular were just amazing from start to finish. For someone who doesn't know much about properties and buying one via an auction they were calm, explained everything step by step and had outstanding service. Simply the best solicitors I’ve ever worked with

I simply cannot fault The Partnership, who are without a doubt the best solicitors I’ve ever worked with (Laura and Abi). They are professional, knowledgeable and proactive. They always answer my calls and usually reply to my emails within minutes. Because of them, my chain did not break and I successfully and timely exchanged on both transactions. I would highly recommend The Partnership to anyone, particularly first time buyers, who are looking for a firm of solicitors that have their clients’ best interests in mind and act with integrity and professionalism at all times.

Terrible- used them for conveyancing…

Terrible- used them for conveyancing services. Delayed response time, disorganized and poor communication. They asked for information at the last minute before exchange of property. Provided me with incorrect information that nearly made me lose the property! Did not take ownership of the mistake and did not do anything to resolve the issue. I would ask for updates but would not hear back. Would not recommend and will not be using in the future.

Brilliant, would highly recommend.

The only solicitor I would ever recommend! Highly efficient, we never had to chase anything up. They answered any questions we had within a couple of hours. If our solicitor was on leave, there was always someone who would cover their workload so we were never left waiting for a response and always had someone knowledgeable to speak to. The portal was brilliant and allowed us to complete paperwork and track progress. We received weekly informative updates from the Partnership, always felt like we were making progress each week.

Professional conveyance service and responsive

Thanks for the excellent services from Partnership which offers a systematic web portal for secured communication and clear guidance in the course of my property purchase. The dashboard is presented with a clear milestones indication. My lawyer Manisha and her assistants are very helpful and patient in answering queries. Also, the weekly update is a very good means for status monitoring.In the nutshell, I would not hesitate to recommend Partnership as a good option for conveyance service.

We had a poor experience with the…

We had a poor experience with the Partnership. Communication was extremely limited with the solicitors basically hiding behind the portal and making no effort whatsoever to consult us or provide any advise on our specific situation. When I asked the assistant if we could organise a phone call with our solicitor, I was told they would but never did.. In the end we resolved our final dispute directly with the sellers and agent.

Communication was amazing, every question was answered and dealt with a good level of care. However it did take what felt like an eternity to get to completion. I know that things do crop up and after covid and brexit, but for a big chunk of time we felt like it would never complete. However, Mandeep got us over the finish line and was professional and helpful.

Disappointing

We used The Partnership to purchase our first home together, a leasehold flat. We chose The Partnership as their Guildford office is very local to us.First impressions of The Partnership were great - very friendly and welcoming, and phone calls from our solicitors to introduce themselves. As time went on, we became a little baffled by things. We were sent various documents for the wrong property which, fair enough were sent to The Partnership by our freeholder, but we felt The Partnership should have noticed this before it reached our inbox. Bizarre questions were asked as initial enquiries to the seller. The real anger and frustration came at point of completion. We had been sent a PDF lease for printing and signing. Said PDF was a photocopy of an original hard copy lease and whoever scanned it in had chopped the edge of all the pages off so the full sentences were not legible. We flagged this 2 weeks before completion, queried if a photocopy was acceptable and requested a better quality version. A new version was sent but missed one of our names off. Again a new copy was requested. No copy was forthcoming so we rang and arranged to collect 2 hard copies to sign and return in person. We collected the 2 hard copies - both were print outs of the badly photocopied original document (therefore words chopped off) and one was 7 pages short. We managed to cobble together two leases out of the poor photocopy print out plus PDFs we had been sent, and returned them to The Partnership. On completion day, the leases were rejected by the seller for being poor quality. At this point we were really angry and wrote an email to that effect to our solicitor. We felt very let down and disappointed and felt this was avoidable when we had questioned the quality two weeks beforehand. No apology was forthcoming nor responsibility taken and the solicitor insisted that we were given the documents that were sent to them by the freeholder. It required a phone call to our solicitor to find out what happened - it transpired that someone in the Guildford office had printed the poor copies rather than given us originals provided by the freeholder. It was only at this point that we were offered an apology. Until this point we were made to feel that we were in the wrong. By this point we had taken matters into our own hands and contacted our freeholder directly. They provided us with good quality leases to sign and expressed their exasperation from working with The Partnership. Since the seller would only complete on Mondays, it meant our completion was delayed by a week. At the end of the day the job is done. Our confidence is knocked and we just hope nothing comes back to bite us in the future.As another review on here says - we feel The Partnership was our client rather than us being theirs. We wouldn’t recommend using The Partnership.

Easy to contact and a thoroughly professional service

We used The Partnership in Guildford for our house sale and would thoroughly recommend them to anybody else. The web portal feature, showing the progress of our sale and the messaging features within it were particularly of great benefit. Easy to contact and extremely timely responses to all our questions too, whether by the messaging feature or phone. The Partnerships work was instrumental in helping us achieve our house sale to take advantage of the stamp duty holiday, which saved us £6500! We have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody else!

Hi,Overall the service was excellent to a point. Please see below letter I sent in. I understand it was a busy time but there were a few things that seemed to have been left to the last minute and some information not even discussed. I feel for Michaela as she was fabulous but I believe she was under resourced and had too much to commit to.It added stress both mentally and finally financially to us. I thought the portal was very good for communicating.Regards Richard Dear Michaela,I appreciate the work you did on our behalf to get the property transaction through by the 30th June. You did an amazing job here. It is unfortunate about the other property. I understand we have to pay the full stamp duty due to the 2nd property and we will look to transfer the funds early next week. I am however disappointed that this was not even brought up or discussed with us earlier by you, our solicitors, at any point. The partnership had the contract containing this information for some time and it seemed that a number of key issues were brought to our attention a week before we were due to exchange. If we had known about the stamp duty earlier we could have factored this money into the mortgage payments. We now have to pay the full amount upfront which is going to be a financial strain for us. I understand that you were under pressure and did really well to cope with this. I just think that if the partnership had more staff assisting you we could have avoided a lot of the last minute issues.

Efficient and helpful property solicitors - well worth the money!

Our estate agent recommended some property solicitors to use and we picked the Partnership as they were dedicated conveyancers - they were a little more expensive than some we contacted but they got great reviews. We were both selling and buying.From the start, they were super efficient and helpful and their portal was brilliant, you could see exactly where you were with the paperwork, financials etc and what still needed to be done at all times and all communications and paperwork were on there too. Some of the other solicitors in the chain were not so organised which held things up and it made us appreciate The Partnership even more!They made a stressful time really easy and I'd thoroughly recommend them. We are loving our new house!

Efficient and Transparent Service

The Partnership offered a efficient and transparent service. I liked the online platform which set out the process and fees very clearly. Laura and Abi got me to exchange on the date I requested and responded to my questions in a timely manner. I communicated with them almost entirely by email. Laura saved up all of the various reports and presented them all together for my approval a week before exchange. This was an efficient and effective way of working, but it did mean that there were a number of weeks with no substantial update on progress. The approach paid off in the end, but is worth knowing in advance that this is how the process will be managed.

A month before completion I would have given a 5 star rating due to receiving a professional service. The use of the portal was easy to use and effective and cut out endless emails, calls and post. However, towards the end the lack of communication became a big issue and although I knew (and hoped) everyone was working hard behind the scenes, little was communicated to me and it led to me worrying, chasing and feeling frustrated. Also put a dampener on my completion day by not communicating with me at all and leaving me to chase and get a ‘we’re just going to call again’ to get an answer not 2 minutes later saying it’s gone through. I would have liked to recommend The Partnership to a friend but I just don’t think I will.

Poor communication

Poor communication. Unclear and unhelpful responses. Our first sale fell through when the purchaser lost her mortgage and we assumed The Partnership would be aware. Instead we received automatic emails stating we were waiting to exchange etc. We had to alert them after several weeks that the sale was off. Meanwhile we were charged for services that were unnecessary. In order to proceed with the next purchaser we had to pay in full the fees from the previous fallen through sale without being able to see itemized bills. We were disappointed in the overall service (especially the lack of communication) and quality of professionalism.
