GoogleWARNING. They will not pay back your deposit. Our son was a student and rented a house with two others. He and the two others have had to take them to court to get the deposit returned even though the landlord agreed that the house was in good condition. They would not reply to emails. Also note. You can tell by the wording of most of the 5* reviews that they are fake. EDIT: he has contacted via the method you suggested. GoogleShocking experience with this estate agent. When trying to book a viewing for a property we were told ‘the property isn’t going anywhere’ and then were given a number of reasons it was going to be difficult for us to view it. On calling again 3 days later we were told that he would get back to us within 24 hours and then when we chased after 24 hours we were told an offer had already been agreed before the previous phone call. Awful service and the gentleman on the phone didn’t seem to care at all. Appalling experience all round.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Due to the current busy nature of the housing market and the need to operate in new Covid-secure ways, viewings can take longer to obtain as we work with smaller teams whilst supporting mover clients. GoogleAVOID!! My contract has finished in September 2020, up until now I am trying to get my deposit back. They are not responsive, and I think that they want me to get over with it and let them steal my money. I was sent an email stating that I need to cover professional cleaning costs (which I am fine with) plus other extra costs, which where not stated. After asking for explanation, I wasn't given clear reply and since then I cannot get in touch with them and every email reply takes weeks. GoogleThe last year has been very difficult which has made it very hard for me to manage my letting alone. I have primarily spoken to Rachel East who has been at my disposal all hours of the day. She has been extremely helpful, supportive and given advice where needed. I am very grateful for this. I have had previous bad experiences with agents who I would not recommend. Even going above and beyond to help me with a second viewing and additional photographs. Overall it made for a never easy experiance. Would strongly reccomend!

I felt I was heard as a prospective tenant, listened to and patronising or cold interaction which I have experienced before with some property agents, were not felt with Gascoigne Pees.

GoogleHave called them again numerous times this week to remove one of their 'let by' signs from our property which has been in place for a good 3 months now. Extremely frustrating that they won't just keep to their word and actually come and remove it

Deposit: I rented an apartment for over 1.5 years (small studio flat), I got it dirty, including the tools left in it, the walls were unpainted, full of dust and paint smeared on door frames, doors, etc. I gave away the apartment, which was very clean and practically ready for rent. For this, my deposit was charged with enormous amounts that are far from reality. The cost of painting was £600, cleaning £180 etc. for a studio flat which was beautifully cleaned. Even on the report they could not distinguish the pink cube in the water in the toilet that cleans from the scale in the water from the scale in the water. I consider it extortion and fraud. Unprofessional team and lack of trust in this company including the deposit management company.
