Worst property managers EVER

25th August, 2021: Apart from not providing necessary maintenance in a timely fashion to the property due to a leaking roof, which led to a much more expensive fix for the property owner, when my son moved out they made no attempt to pay him back his deposit or the overpaid advanced rent. Repeated attempts to obtain the money were met with stories and blaming everyone and everything other than returning the funds with promises to fix it, escalate it etc. After 5 months of giving us the runaround we ended up having to go through the Property Ombudsman to get it resolved. Update 16th September 2021: As of today, Gascoigne Pees are offering to short pay the advanced rent and have told the Ombudsman that the deposit has been returned, which it hasn't. This company employs liars, cheats and the morally & ethically bankrupt. Don't use them either as property managers or as landlords. Update, 12th October 2021, Gascoigne Pees have still not returned the deposit and short paid (less than 50%) the advanced rent with no explanation. They have lied to the Ombudsman and are still ignoring their legal responsibilities. There is currently no resolution in site…Update: January 2nd 2022 - The Property Ombudsman is about to decide on the arbitration, but Gascoigne Pees still owe over £1,000 and don't even seem to recognize that they owe anything. Unbelievable - we'll see how this ends up now that GP has provided TPO with their "Final Position" statement, which admits failures in dealing with the situation, but still doesn't account for the missing funds.

Chloe was very efficient, quick in replying and very kind. However, the flat has been shown to me by someone else from the letting agency who did not know anything about it (which furnitures were there, what was included in the rent...). This came out to be a bit annoying after. But we have a good ending!!!

We were successfully guided through the initial negotiation with our buyer and at all times we were provided with a realistic and well researched view of the market conditions. We cannot recommend Gascoigne-Pees Guildford highly enough, having recently dealt with them when moving to the area. Everyone in the office is friendly, knowledgeable and go above and beyond, making what can be a busy time as smooth as possible. We can't praise the team at Gascoigne Pees Guildford enough. Our house purchase went through without a hitch and both Molly and Rowan provided clear and timely communication throughout the process. We had an unfortunate escape of water incident at the property shortly after we had exchanged contracts and the team went above and beyond to help and support through what was an extremely stressful and difficult time for us as we navigated the insurance claim and dealing with loss adjusters and contractors. Even after we had completed the purchase, they continued to provide help and assistance going well beyond what we would have expected. The best agency in Guildford!!! I with my mum was struggling to find a flat for 2 month, but when we contacted G-pees they helped us so much. All the process from property viewing to moving in was supported with wonderful team. Disappointing Unacceptable Service

I cannot recommend Gascoigne-Pees, Leatherhead branch, after six months I am convinced that they were the wrong choice to sell my property. I definitely did not feel valued. When I decided to end the Agency Agreement, on 28/11/2024, I was completely ignored. After two visits to the branch I managed to get an acknowledgement. However, on the second visit (19/12/2024), the Assistant Branch Manager, was completely unapologetic. In my opinion his manner was offensive, rude and unprofessional. I left the office feeling very upset and physically shaken. I have awarded them one star for the fact, that I did receive an apology from their Customer Relations Officer.
