I felt like I'd struck gold after appointing Foxtons to sell a property in Guildford on my behalf from 300 miles away. After initial contact with 4 Estate Agents in the area, pre appointment I didn't anticipate Foxtons to be my first choice but wow was I wrong! Along came James Hughes who provided a first class whilst professional valuation with guidance and explanations that left me feeling best advised especially as a first time seller. Then Craig Brant took over and handled the process through to completion. Despite the many hurdles I faced he was with me every step of the way-going above and beyond what I expected and totally exceeding all expectations in delivering a first class professional and personal service. As a new migrant family from Hong Kong, rumour has it that it would not be easy to find a suitable dwelling in the UK and seemed to be somewhat of heading for trouble. In the light of this, it took a big leap of faith to decide to go with which estate agent. Luckily, we got off on the right foot and met Margot Redpath of Foxtons. After several long-distance touch bases encapsulating our home-searching requirements over the phone, Margot gave us a steer and also got us several “my sort of thing” in the vicinity of the ideal location for our viewing once we landed. Obviously she had done her homework screening out undesirables to save our time on any irrelevant properties that were actually too far away or ending up coughing up excessive amount of money we couldn’t afford. The whole home-searching process was coming on apace in the right track on the trot. To our relief, our first UK house-hunting went off without a hitch. As a stranger here, it meant a lot to us!!! To make it happen, the unwavering support from Margot has much to commend it. Margot is our unsung heroine and would like to take this chance to express our eternal gratitude for all her help. Josh was really good with us and has been the only estate agent we’ve come across that proactively looked for places for us. The market is very quick right now and we were looking everywhere we could and ended up finding the right place via a different agent but all the same, I would really recommend Josh and Foxtons. Best agency in the area from my point of view! We came to the UK recently and had problems with the totally internal UK-oriented referencing system, which does not accept any finances beyond UK payslips (which is ridiculous!). Foxtons Guildford was the first who accepted US Shares / Dividends as funds. We worked with Margot Redpath and she helped a lot in understanding local market and rules. She is the best (and beautiful!) agent and i would recommend this agency to all.

Foxtons had not been my initial choice when I decided to sell my property however they kept on checking with me although I had appointed another agent. As my property was not getting sold with the initial agent after >12months, Foxtons (James H) gave me the confidence to rely on them and switch agency. Foxtons were great as they helped manage the ‘politics’ with my former agent while switching. They quickly re-put the property on the market and Craig B was appointed as my main contact. Within a week I received multiple offers matching the asking price and above. Craig B also went above and beyond to close the sale as fast as possible and visited the property multiple times to let contractors in, which was of great help to me as the property was vacant and I live abroad. Foxtons also updated me on a regular basis, they set up a WhatsApp group which helped the communication. Foxtons offered a significant better customer service than the 2 agencies I had used in the past, their commission might be higher than some others but be assured that the service you get reflects this. I wish I had selected Foxtons from the start. Thank you James and Craig, you have been exceptional.

Here from a quick experience, I would like to recommend FOXTONS office and the employers there if you are searching for a place to rent. The office in Guildford is realy amazing in terms of going hand-in-hand with tenants and persons like myself, who is under pressure looking for studio to move to. I personally thank "Daniel Berber", who is working there. He was actually patient with my "many-questions", and he joined me very geneorously and with open hand visiting a couple of apartments. I would have loved to pick one of them for me, but the dates of my planed move and the tenancy start date did not match. Thanks again for Daniel for all the help and information, and I very much appreciate being a client, although for short time, with FOXTONS, Guildford.
