Phoebe was professional, responsive and particularly helpful in coordinating everything that needed to be done within a very tight timescale before the new tenants moved in. She kept me informed throughout and worked closely with her colleagues and contractors to help ensure everything came together successfully. I very much appreciate Phoebe's personal assistance and commitment, as well as the support provided by the wider Guildford team. I would strongly advise prospective tenants to think twice before renting through this branch. Three of us rented a property through Foxtons and the whole process was unnecessarily stressful. Communication was often dismissive and unprofessional, and at times we felt we were being spoken to in a belittling manner rather than being helped. Communication between the three tenants was also handled very poorly, creating unnecessary tension rather than resolving issues transparently. Our tenancy started on 20 August, yet the property had not been professionally cleaned to the standard we had been led to expect, despite being told beforehand that the professional clean had been finalised. We had also specifically asked for the garden to be tidied and the lawn mowed before moving in, but arrived to find it in the condition shown in the photo. There were also problems with receiving the keys on time. I was particularly disappointed with the service from Tom Gulliver. Even after we raised these issues, there was no real sense of responsibility or urgency from their side, and we were left to deal with the problems ourselves. As international tenants, we ended up having to work out much of the process and portal ourselves. We expected clear communication, professionalism and the commitments made before the tenancy to be honoured. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. I genuinely struggle to reconcile our experience with the many positive reviews here. Based on what we experienced, I would not use this branch again.

We were supposed to receive the property professionally cleaned on 20 August. However, when I arrived on 22 August to move in, I was extremely disappointed by the condition of the house. The photos speak for themselves ; there were cobwebs, the kitchen extractor fan was covered in grease, and several areas clearly did not appear to have been professionally cleaned. We had specifically discussed the professional cleaning twice before moving in. I have paid the deposit and my first month’s rent, so I expected the property to be handed over in the condition that had been agreed. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that I have been trying to contact the Foxtons office to get this resolved urgently, but I have not been able to reach anyone who can properly assist me. This is absolutely not the standard I would expect when moving into a property that was supposed to have been professionally cleaned before handover. Very disappointing experience, especially on move-in day.

Couldn't be happier with the excellent and beyond duty attention received from Margot as we presented a specially challenging situation to her. We went to Guildford for only 6 months and needed a short term rental that also could accept our temporary status as 'tourists' - me and my wife are from Brazil and had to come back after this period, so finding a place that could check all our requirements was really difficult. And we had to do that remotely from our country (I've never set foot in England before). But Miss Margot not only was incredibly supportive and friendly, but extremely helpful, negotiating with the landlords and keeping ing us informed in all the process, making us to understand all the local requirements. She even made a live view broadcast to show us the properties that we liked the most. And, I must emphasize that we have tried several other state agencies in the Surrey area but most were totally dismissive when we presented our challenges. We even managed to make friends with another couple that Margot helped in last year, that were in a situation just like ours, thanks to her. Reading other reviews from Foxton's, it seems that most people get a very good service from them, but what we've got from Miss Margot was nothing short of exceptional.
