We purchased our first home a few months ago. Balgores were very proactive in helping us finalise everything, even using different branches to help speed up the process. Every person we spoke too was wonderfully helpful. Most importantly for me was that they were kind and genuinely nice people to talk too, I didn't dread picking up the phone!A special shout out to Ricky who first showed us round, flawless throughout the process.

I attempted to buy a property through the Brentwood branch. I have been dealing mostly with the branch manager, who pushed me strongly to use their mortgage broker and their solicitors. First suggested that the property would be only available if I used their mortgage advisor. The advisor was extremely arrogant and tried to scare me into submission. I declined to work with him but still was interested in the property. Arranged my own advisor and property valuation. Turned out that the property would have been very difficult to mortgage and sell in the future putting the whole purchase in question. When I said I needed to consider my options the manager sent me a very snotty email about 'having advised' me on finding other lenders and later, when I called him to tell him what my decision was he told me that I wasted their time. A regretful experience from the beginning. Avoid.

GoogleThis was my second time using Balgores and they were great the first time and just as good the second. They've helped me find tenants on two occasions. Gavin was my point of contact, very efficient and very helpful. Always kept me up to date with everything. The whole team are very helpful. No doubt I would use them again. I would highly recommend anyone within that area to use Balgores.

Brad was a key person in helping our sale come around quicker as we could bypass the solicitor and go straight to him to get questions answered. Horrible service from Upminster branch, especially from Richard and Such. We put an offer on a Thursday, offer got accepted straight away in writing. To get it off the market they required us to use their solicitors and to book a survey in. We felt pressured so we used their Solictors and paid in advance. Our mortgage application completed and surveyor booked to call them on Monday. Then on Monday, Balgores called us and said they are withdrawing offer and accepted someone else instead.Very dissatisfied and disappointed with Such and Richard. To anyone reading and purchasing via them...I dont recommend going with them - we are now stuck with their solicitors!
