Very Committed to selling your House

Bourne were very professional and committed to selling the house and did not stop until it finally sold. For that i am very grateful. The only reason i cannot give 5 stars is once the house sold there were complications with the rest of the chain. They went very quiet at this point despite giving the Spiel at the start of the process they understand the stress of moving and are with you every step of the way. They left it up to the new house sellers EA to deal with all the chain problems.

We recently used Phoebe Howells of Bourne’s in Godalming to sell our property. We had changed from our initial agents and how refreshing it was to work with Phoebe on the sale of our home. She listened carefully to our brief, understood the viewing process we required, came up with innovative and creative ideas to market our property, brought viewings only from qualified applicants and provided quick and useful feedback from each of those viewings. Phoebe understood our needs, is very personable and most importantly brought in an initial offer within three weeks. What I also liked is that she did not pressurise us into accepting the offer but fully explained the pros and cons and left us to decide, which was unlike the experience we had had with our previous agents. Phoebe is clearly very good at her job and I would have no hesitation in recommending her as an extremely competent estate agent and a lovely person to work with on the sale of a home. Ian C

I have been a tenant with Bourne for some time now and have just found a lovely new home for our family with the help of Ellie from the Godalming branch. Ellie has been so kind, helpful and caring from start to finish. She was always available to help with any queries and very quick and efficient with the whole process of applications, referencing ect too. Moving is always a stressful time but Ellie made sure everything went as smoothly and easily as possible. We are so excited to move into our new home, thanks Ellie!

Keep well away

Awful company that should be avoided whatever you do. In fact, I'm certain their conduct isn't law abiding and is at best highly questionable and unethical. They exploit tenants, lie, and harass tenants all because "they work for the landlord not the tenant". Then continue to treat grown adults like inconvenient cash cows that they are most ready to belittle, degrade and harass, even though the rent was always paid early and we were great tenants who kept the place very well. Not worth the mistreatment and having to constantly remind them that they are dealing with grown adults not children. Truly, avoid at all costs.

We cannot thank Bournes in Godalming enough for their recent work on our house sale and purchase. From the outset we were aware that they are a young team who are extremely web-savvy and eager to succeed. They clearly knew exactly how to market our property at from the word go moved at a pace that as refreshing as it was unexpected. As a result we sold far sooner than we had ever imagined. Beyond that Harry, Alex and Saskia (and others I´m sure) couldn´t have been more helpful, working tirelessly to keep things on track through some difficult moments. At times, when we were tearing our hair out, a quick call to Harry would reassure us that all was well. This was truly invaluable. I can´t recommend Bourne´s highly enough and I´m so glad that we chose them to represent us throughout this process. Can’t recommend these guys enough - they are friendly, professional, tenacious and generally a really lovely bunch of people to have worked with to sell our house. Also, they ACTUALLY LISTEN and seek to understand your requirements for your next house purchase and I found the properties they were sending me to consider were relevant. In one instance, Harry Hitch even pointed me in the direction of a property that was on with another agent because he thought it fulfilled our brief so perfectly. There is no doubt that when my husband and I come to sell our new house, we will be doing so through Bourne.
