Agency demanding £660 to exit tenancy…

Agency demanding £660 to exit tenancy after being good tenants for 15months, even though we requested a break out clause at the start. Horrible service towards tenants. Avoid avoid avoid!!!!!

You deal with the local agents to view and sign the contract for the property, The inventory is sent by email after you have moved in which is too late, another dept based in a different part of the country deals with repairs. When you leave you deal with yet another drpt in another part of the country and then the inventory when you leave is done days after you have vacated by yet another dept in yet another part of the country. Inventory aren't cross referenced but the one when you leave is done in far more detail than the one given you when you move in. For example and filthy bathroom with cupboards full of sanitary items and burnt candles missed! Missed but on the leaving inventory dust on the mantlepiece picked up. None of the dept talk to each other and none get back to you either. 18 days after moving out still no response about my deposit. Avoid this agency if at all possible, 33yrs of renting and worse agency I have come across

Incompetent and disorganised

Slow staff, very impersonal, made moving that much harder. After seeing a property on rightmove we contacted Taylor’s in the middle of August 22. They said they would be in touch and never contacted us. We rang a further 5 times, offered to pay a holding deposit and explained we needed to be moved by mid September at the latest, had sorted out finance and checks all ourselves to speed the process along. Each time we were told no one had taken our details and never contacted. Today (October 4th) I have just received my first phone call from them asking if I’m still wanting to move.

If I could give a zero I would

If I could give a zero I would. I moved into my flat with the previous tenants belongings still here, including used razors, rubbish in bins, stained cushions, clumps of hair, I could go on. I recieved no genuine compassion or understanding, or compensation. They use a management agency under the name Countrywide.I initially reported signs of damp on viewing the property. A year on (after multiple reports through their portal and emailing direct) they've decided to rip up the floorboards to tackle the damp problem and leave an industrial dehumidifier that I'm expected to run 24/7. 5 Weeks on I'm still living like this with no communication (despite my best efforts) for nearly 3 weeks and no end date specified for the works. They're the worst Estate agency I have ever dealt with through nearly a decade of rentals. They've been utterly useless and made my life hell. Avoid at all costs. They don't care once you've signed the dotted line.

Avoid Taylor’s Lettings - Northampton branch

I was using Taylor’s Northampton branch to let my flat on a fully managed service. I would recommend avoiding any sort of service they offer, as it is money wasted. You can not get hold of anyone, as the phones go to voicemail and emails are ignored. I never knew who my property manager was, I don’t think I had one. My flat flooded and I ended up taking over and sorting the repairs, as Taylor’s just were not interested. When I finally got my keys back, I realised some of the remedial works I had paid for had not been done and even when I complained the issue was ignored, they just lied and said the works had been done? Don’t make the same mistake I made forking out monthly fees to a letting agent who does nothing for you or your tenant, there are better agents out there.

The lack of regard for tenants from…

The lack of regard for tenants from Taylor’s is disgusting, we have had maintenance issues ongoing for 17 months and the latest is the oven door burst and glass shattered everywhere, we have two kids to feed and they don’t give a damn to help and sort issues out. They have the law on their side and we have to keep paying while they sit on their comfy chairs and don’t give a crap about the tenants. We have had 5 property managers in 17 months and they are all talking out of their backsides and them email at 1am to avoid having to deal with the ongoing problems. Don’t trust them, don’t give them you’re hard earned cash to rent from them or even buy from them, they sold this property with Japanese knotweed and they are happy for tenants to live in houses without the basics because they can target the deposit at the end of the tenancy. Don’t use Taylor’s they are con artists. If you speak to Bart, Laura, Teresa or Helen then good luck to you they are pisstakers. Don’t trust them or anyone from this cowboy company.

Poor management of property and enforcement of tenancy obligations

After an initial good start at the Oxford Branch I was horrified to find 8 months into the tenancy that the tenants had not cleaned nor maintained the property or fixtures and fittings. Mid term review quoted in terms of business and as part of full management fee were not carried out. Property inspections carried out on request by someone else who had nothing to do with initial dealings for a further charge. Maintenance of property or the obligations under tenancy given no importance or followed-up. We did all the chasing to find condition of house continuing to fall. Finally told the agency could do nothing to ensure the tenants fulfilled their obligations even with a tenancy agreement and now going through the complaints procedure. Terrible service when things go wrong!

I am disgusted and appalled...

I am disgusted and appalled at the level of customer service I have not received. Emails have been ignored. The phone has been put down on me numerous times due to “faulty lines”. When finally getting through to someone, I was treated like I was a big inconvenience to them. I was not surprised at all when my landlords pulled out and requested that we pay rent directly to them for the foreseeable. The customer service from the Northampton town centre branch is below appalling and all members need a good and through training programme. Disgusting! No internal communication what so ever as everyone I eventually spoke to, I had to explain the situation from the beginning because nobody can be bothered to act like a team and pass on information regarding serious money matters. I will never be using Taylor’s again.

I have sadly been really let down by…

I have sadly been really let down by this agency. I was in the process of buying my first home for about 5 months that due to no fault of my own fell through. Even though I have been promised that I will get my holding deposit refunded from the get go (that I also have in writing) , after 7 weeks I still haven't received a penny. I'm just continuously chasing my Own money week after week. I have been continously ignored by every person in the new homes team from the bottom up, even the menager. I have had to get the Financial Ombudsman Services involved trying to get my own money back. I definitely wouldn't recommend this agency to any one as you will never get a refund (even if they promise one) on your holding deposit and you will be ignored by the new homes team throughout the whole property buying process or the refund process. The worst of them all is definitely Bradley from the new homes team who during the whole 5 months of my purchase process and 2 months of chasing my Own money, hasn't replied to a single email he's been sent either by me or any other person involved in the process. At this point I'm not even sure if he's a real person or they just made him up. Beyond abysmal customer service, beware!
