We have rented for 9 months as we renovated our own property, property was dirty and had holes in carpet, we replaced carpets cleaned and decorated prior to moving in. Whilst we lived at the property we had no issues. Once we moved out we cleaned again etc etc, property was better than when we took it. CGT want to deduct £85 to release £1615 deposit, as I said I don’t agree they have cut all communication, Gemma Foley won’t reply to emails, I have requested a repayment through the despot scheme which will take to October. Avoid this letting agent.

What can I say, my experience with CGT has been awesome. I can’t speak for the rest of the team but Dan was so easy going I thought it all seemed to good to be true, I’d highly recommend him if you’re looking for property.

FacebookI’m not usually one to post things like this on here, but it needed to be done so other people don’t make the same mistake as us by using this awful company So we moved into our house in June 2020, house was fine, no issues, just ugly Come June 2021 the house was starting to show signs of mould ( even had mice ) which we were then told we’re a common issue at that house by the pest control as he’d been multiple times before we moved in, we begged CGT to help with the mould & mouse problem, in the end I ended up spending around £40 on mouse poison and lots of mould removal products ( we got rid of the mice ) because CGT didn’t help By January 2022, the house was so absolutely riddled in mould , we then again contacted CGT begging them to do something, we had just came home from hospital with the baby they ignored 100s of emails and calls, palming us off telling us to “ open all the windows and turn the heating on” in the middle of winter with a newborn babyObviously I was wiping the mould away everyday , still being ignored by CGT Skip a couple months into summer 2022, the attic door was absolutely soaked and covered in mould ( presuming ) a leak , again this wasn’t dealt with and we were still stuck in a mouldy house , I went out all day everyday so Arthur wasn’t there too muchSkip a few months again into winter 2022 , the baby became poorly all the time and was at the doctors every week, he was finally prescribed an inhaler because his breathing got so bad, from what I’m guessing was breathing in the mould During this we moved our baby into our bedroom as the mould was awful in his room, water was dripping from the ceiling into his cot, mouldy water may I add, we had to Chuck a lot of Arthur’s stuff away, as it all went moudly and was no longer safe to useMarch 2023, I had s very angry phone call with CGT threatening them with citizens advice & the news papers, they finally got someone out to quote about dealing with the mould , less then 3 days after the quote was done we got a section21 through the doorSkip again to may 2023, we’ve left the house and all the furniture that went mouldy because who wants to take that anywhere, the landlord had then accused us of stealing his sofa, stools & other random bits that he came to collect back in December 2021, PLEASE STAY WELL AWAY FROM CGT LETTINGS , AND 1 STONEVILLE STREET GL518PH, it’s an absolute shambles of a property, and the mould will just be painted over and put up for rent again so avoid at all cost, this is also just a short version of the nightmare we’ve had with this company

FacebookTotal scum bags but it seems from reviews its only the London road office that has this reputation. They are trying to charge me £240 for cleaning like the review below despite a good will gesture professional carpet clean which is not legally required on leaving. Even Churhdown carpets and upholstery said there is no way these carpets were cleaned ever i was only there 1 year. Why would someone pay for that but neglected to clean the rest of the flat on leaving. JUST SHERE LOGIC. Blamed me for shower sealant despite being on there first ever inspection so will get that taken off. They also sneakily give you the moving in report in hard copy so you cant upload to flat fair at the end and if you ask for a digital copy you are told no chance and they wont upload that as evidence to flat fair as they know what will happen ! That should tell you all you need to know and as below they cant blame the land lord for that !
