Elephant were amazing when I was house hunting. We viewed several houses with them and Alys and the team were great. Relaxed with letting us view the property ourselves but ready with all the information we might need and able to answer questions. They really knew the properties. It was a tricky process, especially as the chain wasn't as straightforward as we've have liked, but I honestly couldn't speak more highly of the team at Elephant. Emily was especially wonderful, keeping us updated, pushing things through and keeping the pressure on. I'm not sure we'd have moved as soon as we did if it hadn't been for her! We chose Elephant to sell our terraced house in Montpelier as they appeared to have the best local knowledge, both of the market, and the personal experience of living in the area to answer any questions from purchasers. Nick was also the warmest, most friendly, and affable agent of all the companies we asked to value the house. The quality of their photographs was amongst the highest we'd seen, and the sales brochure was also top quality. Their photographer did a fantastic job, and knew just how to present each room in the best way. We liked the flexibility in length of sale contract and fee structure they offered. The house was released on line just before a weekend to catch online weekend browsing, with 3 days of viewings proposed for the weekend after the following week. We had a large number of viewings, but the house was left perfectly clean and tidy at the end of each viewing day. Elephant gave us a detailed list of who was coming each day, with detailed feedback at the end of each day of viewings. As we had several interested parties, some second viewings were arranged, and buyers were invited to submit best and final offers at the end of the following week. Having accepted an offer, the Covid lockdown resulted in the collapse of our chain at both ends. Nick was a beacon of hope at that dark time, never failing in his confidence that we could secure another sale at a good price. Elephant took us through the same procedure again, and we accepted another offer. The team at Elephant were constantly chasing up agents and solicitors in the chain to ensure that all was proceeding as efficiently as possible. Elephant gave a service very far above what we had expected, and were always friendly, helpful, and professional. We loved the family feel in the office, and being made to feel welcome at all times. We are certain that Elephant offer a service well above the normal estate agent experience. We have just sold our house through Elephant and we’re very impressed with the service. Estate agents don’t generally have the best reputation but everyone at Elephant was so nice and friendly and super efficient. Moving house is always a stressful time (particularly in the run up to the stamp duty deadline when the whole sector was under unbelievable pressure) but they were very reassuring and we did feel that we were in safe hands and they had our back. As you would expect they have a really good knowledge of the area and we particularly appreciated having a chat to Ben in advance of making offers on other houses, to get a professional take on pitching our offer. We also never felt under any pressure to do anything we were sure about ( and we did take ages to find the right house) and Ben’s advice that a particular house we had been considering probably wasn’t right for us turned out to be spot on - for which we are very grateful! Let me start by saying we moved house after 4 years of searching in bishopston! Having moved from London, we had badly underestimated how competitive it was to buy in this area. Elephant estate agents not only supported us in our journey, but had that personal touch. We worked with Nick Durbin -he really cared for us getting the right house. He went the extra mile and here's the thing: even when a house came up with another agent, he was there, giving us impartial advice, always available, answered our calls and was our sounding board time after time! He has high integrity, superb follow through skills and brings the human into estate agency. When the house we (finally) bought came up, it came up with another agent and immediately Nick contacted us and gave us impartial advice to go for it. Why anyone would use any other estate agents in Bristol is a mystery. Elephant are easily worth their fee. Without exception, the team are nice, hard-working and extremely competent. I do believe that without the constant drive of Alec pulling the chain’s buyers, vendors, solicitors and other estate agents along we’d not have managed to move. We just bought our first family home through Elephant Bishopston and would definitely recommend Nick and the team to any prospective buyers. During our search I viewed almost twenty properties with a number of local estate agents, elephant stood out from the rest - as friendly, knowledgable and supportive. It took us a while to pin down exactly what it was we were looking for in terms of budget, level of work required and specific area; however I was never made to feel like I was wasting the agents' time and with each house learned more about what was possible. During our search with elephant, we went to best and final offers on a house that we loved but were unsuccessful, the team managed the process professionally and were very supportive afterwards. Ultimately, Nick encouraged us to view the house we eventually bought; having initially overlooked it we knew on the first viewing it was for us. After finding our new home Nick worked with us, the vendor and our Solicitors to ensure the sale stayed on track, and has provided useful advice on renovations, removal companies, and Italian restaurants!

I was getting a bit downhearted with trying to find a house in Bristol until I came across Elephant Estate agents. My experience with their agent, Daisy, was quite different from those who represented other agents. Daisy knew her stuff. Every question I asked her about the house and area she was able to answer, simply and clearly. Daisy also helped me understand how the different areas of Bristol worked which as a newcomer I appreciated. Daisy was natural in being excited about the property and talked about how she felt about it. This was invaluable. For the first time in six months I felt I had come across an agent who cared, about the property itself and about my response to it. Elephant certainly earned their money with my move! I moved to them after a frustrating few months with another agent trying to buy and sell properties at the same time, with a small search area this was proving tricky and I had lost several properties and buyers at this point due to being unable to synchronise things together. Everyone at Elephant, particularly Katie and Alec, took a real interest in helping me find the right property (I was quite specific about what I wanted) and eventually the right one came through, they were able to keep my buyers on board and it was really nice to meet both them and the sellers of my new house towards the end of the process. There was an additional stressful complication with the purchase after completion and again this was dealt with really well by Elephant. In general I found them very positive, on the whole easy to get hold of and supportive throughout what was a stressful and drawn-out process. Thank you Elephant!

I bought my first flat with Elephant Estate Agents and I had a flawless experience. Emily was so helpful, always available and it felt like she really cared. She listened to all my first time buyer silly questions and was always super quick to get answers for me from the sellers. She also helped me with all the terms and processes I wasn't familiar with. What have the following got in common? Brynland Avenue, Dongola Road , Dongola Avenue, Seymour Road, Seymour Avenue, Theresa Ave, Nevil Road, Kennington Ave, Mervyn Road, North Road and many more. Besides being in the highly desirable area of Bishopston. They also have one other thing in common - the very distinctive Elephant estate agent's boardI Although you can't really say the 'FOR SALE ' board as most have 'SOLD' on them. The white writing of for 'sale' changes to the blue of 'sold' very fast and sometimes in the middle of the night. A real mystery. What is not a mystery is the success this firm enjoys in this area of Bristol. They are focused, knowledgeable and honest. We first got to know Alec and Matt in 2012 when they sold our previous house here in Bishopston and took a keen interest in the renovation project we’d taken on and gave us some valuable advice. They have just sold our current house within a week on the market, with Alec keeping us up to date at every stage of the process. A special thanks to Elephant’s photographer who does such a wonderful job. The wild Elephant may sadly be in danger of extinction but Elephant the Estate Agent is growing from strength to strength so congratulations on your past, current and future success.
