I have had a good experience working with Yates Hellier. The photos of our home were excellent. A group whatsapp was created with the team there that made communication easy. I also found the communications easy, very straight talking and no hidden fees etc. I would be on the phone regularly asking questions around viewings and negotiations etc and Yates Hellier were great at listening to me and providing feedback on my opinions which I valued a lot. I felt well guided and cared for.

Ross Yates came to our home to do a valuation on it as one of what we had planned as a number of valuations when considering putting our home on the market last year. (He had showed us around one of his properties we had put an offer on, and we were taken by his open and friendly manner that didn’t come with the hard sell that can often happen with estate agents.) After meeting with Ross and listening to his honest, considered and straightforward valuation and what we might wish to consider doing that might improve on it, we decided not to bother with other valuations and stuck with Ross and Yates Helier. Ross managed all the viewings, was very helpful and supportive and gave great advice throughout. Without any hesitation if we decided to move again we would be calling Ross and would suggest to anyone we knew who was considering selling to contact Ross at Yates Helier to hear what he has to say. We are very grateful for his dedication and support with his ‘Rolls Royce’ service. Efficient, helpful, friendly. Great service with a real personal touch. I sold my property recently through Yates Hellier. Reasonable rates, straight talking and a quick and efficient process. I had over 20 viewings within a few weeks of going to market and went to closing date. Great communication with the office staff throughout. They also helped resolve some unexpected issues quickly, and made use of apps which helped me keep up to date and progress things at a time convenient to me. Terrible experience

Little care for their tenants and difficult to deal with. During my time having Yates Hellier as a property manager, I reported an issue about a tap leaking and was informed that I would have to foot the bill for sending out maintenance.Upon exit, I had the flat thoroughly cleaned, to a higher standard than when I moved in. Unfortunately, I did not take pictures to submit in the original inventory paperwork and so Yates Hellier took this opportunity to gouge me for a very expensive clean, which I can only imagine took a very short time on top of what had already been done.

Very professional company

Ross came recommended and I can see why. He was very professional and showed good negotiation skills throughout the process. My flat in the west end was undervalued and Ross managed to get it revalued up after presenting evidence of previous sales to the surveyor. He was also very good negotiating with potential buyers in a difficult scenario I found myself in as the market was dropping. Again he managed to negiotate the price up from a buyer. Yates Hellier as a whole were very good and refreshingly they don't tie you into 6 month contracts like other bigger estate agents. This is invaluable in a falling market as it gives you the option to cancel or postpone the sale and not be penalised.

Excellent trustworthy letting agent

I have been letting my flat in Glasgow through Yates Hellier for well over 5 years. They helped me finding excellent tenants. They have dedicated members of staff who always contact me promptly when there is an issue to be resolved. As I was not in contact with my tenants, I can not speak on their behalf. However, my first tenant stayed for 5 years and I would like to think that the tenant was happy, staying in my flat which was well managed by Yates Hellier. I cannot recommend this reliable and trustworthy agent highly enough to anybody who is a landlord or a prospective tenant.

Ross Yates at Yates Hellier helped us sell our house in North Kelvinside. He was first rate. I don't think you could get a better service. His approach was very kind, supportive and throughly professional. The fees were similar to what other estate agents were charging. He gave very good and detailed advice about getting the house ready for viewings. His service is unique in that he takes responsibility for the whole process. He personally dealt with every potential buyer showing them around the house and chasing up answers to any questions they may have. (The bigger estate agents tend not to do this).Even after it was sold (very quickly) he maintained contact with the buyers and ourselves through the process with exchange of missives to check there were no snags. His background as a surveyor meant he could easily reassure about any questions we had. We would give him a 6 star review if we could!

Yates Hellier are a letting agency who are direct and simple to deal with. 95% of the issues we have raised have been dealt with promptly, as they send over a workman to fix the problem. They do regular inspections ensuring the flat is in good condition, but also as an oppurtunity for us to raise issues. occasionaly things we have mentioned in person have fallen through the cracks, but mostly dealt with when reminded in an email.
