Everyone involved with the sale had experience, was knowledgeable and did everything they could to help, alongside great communication throughout the process. GoogleWe sold our flat in Glasgow through Vanilla Square in September 2019. They never put a foot wrong, made the whole process as easy as it could possibly have been and charged a very fair price for their service. We were in a chain, albeit a small one, and experienced all sorts of problems with our sale that were unforeseeable. I can genuinely say that the level of service provided by the team at Vanilla Square most likely made the difference between our sale going ahead, and falling through. Can't recommend highly enough.

GoogleUPDATE To pick up on the response posted to my original review - this issue has NOT been adequately resolved. Months of chasing, no formal apology, payments provided in dribs and drabs after several solicitors letters. I’m still out of pocket months later and in addition, after months of calls and enquires made with the relevant authorities, the deposit paid by my tenants has never been provided. This company’s cavalier attitude with other people’s money is quite frankly appalling. Now looking to take this matter to Tribunal so this becomes a matter of public record. Avoid at all costs. My rent has been paid to me sporadically if at all throughout the tenancy despite being collected. I am currently out of pocket now to the tune of ££££ and have been for months with no explanation or apparent effort on the part of Vanilla Square to resolve the issue despite repeated correspondence and calls. Court proceedings are now my only option. Bitterly disappointing service.

GoogleWe rented a flat with Vanilla Square about two years ago. After enquiring will all three tenancy deposit scheme providers we found out that this agency did not - as required by law - place our deposit in a deposit scheme at all. This, as well as complete silence from Vanilla Square, forced us to eventually employ the help of a lawyer (!) to get our money back. As (international) students, we felt taken advantage of since we were not familiar with renting procedures. Additionally, towards the end of our tenancy, we were left without a working boiler for over ten days (in a cold basement flat) - this issue was not fixed at the time we moved out. We will not rent with Vanilla Square again and would advise anyone who wants their deposit returned to them at the end of the tenancy to do the same.
