Good final result. Exceptionally helpful staff where nothing was too much trouble. Process completed very quickly. Did not agree with an asking price that was on the very low side. Market conditions were variable but offers varying by 100k reflected a bit of lack of knowledge on the area and the pull of a well known local school. Full marks to a very professional photographer who made our property almost unrecognisable to us. Would recommend Vanilla Square as a relatively new but vibrant and ambitious estate agent.

Really disappointed in vanilla square. I’ve had two dealings with them now and both have been terrible. Firstly when I bought my current flat they phoned me on a Friday night once my solicitor was closed to tell me the seller was pulling out. I spent all weekend worrying about it only to find out everything was fine. More recently we viewed a house. Only the find out that the house was already sold when we viewed it. What a waste of time! We only found out the house was sold from Rightmove even though they said we’d be kept up to date. The last email I received from them two days after the viewing even says they’d keep us informed about any movement from other interested parties even though they clearly knew it was already sold. Very rogue and underhand way of doing things. Avoid at all cost!

My parents experience with Vanilla Square could not have been better and they/I would unhesitatingly recommend them as estate agents to potential house sellers. They first engaged them to act for them in 2019 and they sucessfully identified acceptable purchasers. Regrettably, after a delay of some two months before the purchasers were willing to conclude missives until they had sold their house, my dad developed totally unexpectedly a very serious health issue which caused them, as sellers, to abort the sale. At that very challenging time Vanilla Square could not have been more understanding despite the fact that they had lost a house sale. Post covid and the passage of some 3+ years and a fortunate recovery in dad's health Vanilla Square were once again engaged to market my parents house and this time my parents also asked Vanilla Square not to put a "for sale " notice outside the house and also to conduct the viewings themselves as my parents wanted to limit as much as possible the stress involved in a house sale. Throughout the whole exercise everyone with whom they came into contact in Vanilla Square could not have been more professional, more understanding of their particular previous experience, efficient and genuinely caring in their attitude. Happily on this re-run of the sale events turned out well albeit that again there was ...as they were told by Vanilla Square and their solicitors would be the norm...a somewhat disconcerting delay in finalising the transaction pending the sale by the purchasers of their house. During this time Vanilla Square were most patient in dealing with my parents constant enquiries as to what was holding things up! All in all they could not have been better served and we are sure the professionalism and personal attitude of all at Vanilla Square will be much appreciated by those who engage them to act in their house sale. In the last 7 years , due to bereavement and downsizing, Steven, Vicky & Gemma have sold four West End properties for my family. The valuation each time was honest with none of the false promises made by others with the advice on preparation of the properties proportionate & realistic. The steps in the process each time happened rapidly, without any glitches with really breathtaking organisation of viewings & liaison with me. I can not express strongly enough how pleased I was with the service I received from all the team at Vanilla Square when selling my West End flat earlier this year. From Steven at our initial consultation, who remained on hand throughout the sale when needed or wanted, to Vicki and Gemma handling the negotiations and sale, through to Alana and the rest of the team in the office, thank you. Everyone seemed to really understand me, my home and what I needed to be able to make this emotional move happen. The marketing, advice, support and knowledge of how to proceed to make sure that both me and my buyers were happy and confident as we moved through the process, was second to none. I have had absolutely no qualms about recommending them as an estate agent to anyone who will listen!
