We used Vanilla Square to sell our two‑bedroom flat in Glasgow. We first put the flat on the market in 2021, which is when we got in touch with Vanilla Square and had a meeting with Steven Lucas. We were very happy with the process and impressed by Vanilla Square’s efficiency. They assisted us in organising the Home Report and arranged a professional photographer for the marketing materials. We soon received an offer, although we eventually decided to postpone the sale for other reasons. When the time came to go back on the market, we knew we wouldn’t bother contacting any other agents and emailed Steven Lucas directly. Steven’s approach is very refreshing: he is realistic yet positive and, unlike other agents, you are not left with the feeling that they have simply told you what you want to hear just to win the instruction. Our flat listing looked excellent, with high‑quality photography, virtual tours, and floor plans. Having access to your own online Property File is extremely convenient, as you can easily keep track of viewings. The team at the office were very responsive and efficient, always returning calls and replying to emails promptly. We would absolutely recommend Vanilla Square over any other agents in Glasgow.

Very impressed with Jonny and his team at Vanilla Square at how they helped with the sale of my flat in the West End of Glasgow. Jonny gave an accurate valuation of the property and when I first met him it was clear he understood the market well. This also led to my decision to go with Vanilla Square, over much bigger and established agents. Although in the beginning the offers were not satisfactory, he gave me further honest and sound advice and in the end the property was sold at my expected price. His team was also very professional and answered my queries without delays. I would highly recommend Vanilla Square to anyone looking for a sales agent.

I have a number of experiences of Vanilla Square as both a seller and purchaser and can honestly say, in my experience, that they are the best in estate agent around by a considerable margin. I recently sold in flat in Glasgow and from start to finish, the entire team demonstrated exceptional professionalism and care. They provided clear and genuinely honest advice throughout the process and Hollie in particular really went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The marketing strategy from Steven was excellent and multi-faceted, resulting in a fantastic level of interest in my property and consequently a good sale price. Communication was second to none, they kept me updated at every stage, promptly addressing my many queries I had and making me feel confident and reassured. I had an excellent experience selling my home with Vanilla Square. Steven and Liam, who came to value the property, absolutely know their market, and had done their research ahead of time: they knew how to advertise my property well, which was important to me as it was a fairly unique property. The whole team was very professional, the photos and listing organised were fantastic, and communication was excellent. My home was listed on a Thursday and sold on the Tuesday morning, for the price I was looking for, which I was blown away by. They were flexible around my timescales for advertising the property and viewings, and their portal to see upcoming viewings was brilliant. They are probably a little more expensive than many other estate agents in Glasgow, however I felt that going with a boutique agency was more than worth it for the ease of sale and the increased value offered from buyers. The advice I received on accepting offers was excellent. The only recommendation I would have is the after-sales experience: once the commission was through, the communication dropped to 0 (except for an email asking for the keys, which I'd dropped in already). It would have been really nice to have confirmation that there were no issues, as selling a home is a stressful experience that you want to be able to turn the page on. Friends have received a wee card or even flowers from their agent after selling their home, which is above and beyond but even an email to confirm that's everything wrapped up with no problems would have set my mind at ease. This is a minor point however, and overall it was still a five-star experience selling through Vanilla Square. If I were selling again in Glasgow I wouldn't hesitate to use them.

Words are not enough to describe how grateful we are for the excellent service we received from Vanilla Square. If anyone is looking for an estate agent who will be on their side throughout the entire process of selling and buying properties, contact Gemma! After other estate agents gave us incorrect information and put us on the wrong path, plus thanks to pure negligence of our lawyer, it seemed impossible to sell our house and that we were going to lose out on the property that we had struggled long and hard to get an offer accepted on. Just a few days prior to the entry date , when it was looking like there was no hope left at all, Gemma stepped in and negotiated things 100 times better than our lawyer. Could not have been happier working with Steven, Gemma and co. Steven really helped so much with advice at the beginning, what minor work should be done and how to maximise the value. Sold our flat through Vanilla Square in July/August 2021. We had a very pleasant chat with Johnny who was personable and friendly and decided to go with VS instead of the other agencies we had discussed our flat sale with. All was great on the marketing front, photos looked excellent and the system used where we can clearly view upcoming viewings and feedback from previous viewings was really useful. Unfortunately I have had to drop two stars because of the process when it came to offers. We were selling in a very hot market, and had a fair few viewings lined up. An early offer came in which the office was pushing us to take, although it was much lower than the value nearby, similar properties were selling for at that time. I'm really glad that my partner and I had knowledge of the market and that we were confident enough to recognise the initial offer as a 'cheeky' offer and say no to the office, who told us that 'the first offer is usually the highest' (at the moment this is just not true). After rejecting this offer, we then had several offers far higher than this initial offer, as expected in this market. We were very disappointed with the advice offered to us from the office and felt we were being pushed into a quick sale, despite most properties going to a closing date and the level of interest in our property. Thank goodness we were able to say no and get the best possible price for our property.

Their initial estimation was one of the lower ones we had from estate agents but we felt that Steven was realistic, honest, and wasn't going to flash a big number at us to try and sway our decision making like some of the bigger agencies did (many of which seemed to drop their asking prices a few weeks later.)
