Avoid renting from this company if possible. I echo the reviews of many, unprofessional manner. Called me a liar and ignored all contact. They are quick to contact you when you withhold rent to ongoing issues but not as quick to deal with them. I ended up speaking to the landlord directly and both of us were being told different things from this company. We were lucky having rented for a long time previously so were well on the ball but first time renters be aware! Only interested in you if you are renting your property with them or selling through them. I did write a formal letter of complaint to the Managing Director but he did not even have the decency to acknowledge my letter or respond. No we were not accommodated at the time. Unprofessional service throughout avoid if you can!

We recently sold our flat in Glasgow and Vanilla Square were recommended to us by an industry professional. Thank goodness they were.... We live in the Middle East, so had to try and conduct all the administration remotely from 3,000 miles away. We therefore relied almost totally on our UK service providers. Vanilla Square were first class throughout. Whilst other providers routinely let us down or were simply not helpful, Vanilla square were faultless; they were hugely helpful, prompt, communicated well and acted proactively. The nuts and bolts were done superbly, but the real value they added was all the unforseen extras that were needed. In these they assisted us massively by identifying contractors, assisting and doing all enabling activity. We simply could not have completed the job without them. I would recommend these guys unreservedly.

Vanilla Square made the sale of our flat in the west end a stress free and seamless process. We were offered honest and helpful advice from the outset and Vanilla Square got the flat on the market really quickly. Once it was up we had lots of viewings all efficiently organised through their amazing online portal so we didn't need to spend hours on the phone coordinating. The flat sold in less than three weeks, we couldn't be happier. All round a really friendly and helpful team and great service- thank you!

I don't go to say how many problems I had with this agency, just be careful at the time you start to work with them. I finished my contract on the 9th of January 2017 and we started a discussion about what was wrong in the flat. They were never happy with anything. One of the staff told me the process never will be more than 3 months. After this time I sent numerous emails with not one answer. I waited another few months, and still nothing. Finally I called Deposit of Scotland and Surprise , Vanilla never refunded the money of my deposit there. So I am still waiting for an answer and I am out of pocket by over £600.

Really poor experience with these guys. Unprofessional and very poor communicators. They would have been happy to let tenants in without all of the formalities being done and in fact let tenants in when I’d specifically asked them not to. I was put on to VS through a recommendation but I wish I’d done more research first. Very very poor. They’ve no idea what they’re doing and I have no confidence in them whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.

I would never use Vanilla Square Letting again. I rented an executive property on the South Side Of Glasgow at £1400/month while working in Wales. No inspections were done and when issues occured with the property Vanilla reduced the rent without consent to £1000/month. On returning home a year later the property had been damaged and was filthy. After chasing their owner Innes for some ten weeks no I have been told that the full deposit was returned to the tennants. Perhaps they are good to rent from but I certinaly would never use them to rent a property again.

I can not express strongly enough how pleased I was with the service I received from all the team at Vanilla Square when selling my West End flat earlier this year. From Steven at our initial consultation, who remained on hand throughout the sale when needed or wanted, to Vicki and Gemma handling the negotiations and sale, through to Alana and the rest of the team in the office, thank you. Everyone seemed to really understand me, my home and what I needed to be able to make this emotional move happen. The marketing, advice, support and knowledge of how to proceed to make sure that both me and my buyers were happy and confident as we moved through the process, was second to none. I have had absolutely no qualms about recommending them as an estate agent to anyone who will listen! I spoke to 5 different agents before choosing the team at Vanilla Square, all of whom had merits, but it was the attitude, lack of stuffiness and ease with which we could talk so that I felt both listen to and understood that made the decision to go with Vanilla Square easy in the end.
