What a relief

What a relief, they have refunded me at last! After hearing many excuses, being passed from pillar to post, countless emails and phone calls, and finally threats from me (lawyers in Scotland and England, social media, Rip Off Britain), my deposit on a contract I cancelled the day after I had signed it has been returned to my account.

Terrible Terrible company. I myself foolishly responded to an advert for free will. In the last 2 months been relentlessly harassed by email and telephone. I have reported emails as spam, unsubscribed from email list on numerous occasions. Blocked countless numbers from them and yet still recieve emails and calls on a daily basis. Avoid at all costs!!!

Mark came to visit me today to arrange a free will for myself and my Husband. Also PoA's for us both. Mark was a welcome visitor to our home and he explained everything clearly and gave plenty of opportunity for me to ask questions. The price of two PoAs is very resourceful and includes both parts. There is the extra government tax of £82 to pay, but, as I am on PIP I am exempt. The will is free, but for £20 per year they will keep a copy safe and we can make as many amendments as we need to. I 100% recommended Thomas Bradley for peace of mind.

Following my mother’s passing I got in touch with Thomas Bradley & Co Limited to handle her estate and sell her house. A phone conversation with Scott Ewart (Managing Partner) convinced me that I was dealing with a firm that was not only highly professional but one that put the client at the heart of all their efforts. Shannon handled the legal side with the minimum of fuss and kept me updated throughout with her efficiency, knowledge and advice helping to remove the stress that I had as the executor. The selling of the house was handled by Vicky and Lisa and I cannot praise them enough. Lisa was always at the end of the phone to answer any questions, provide any updates and kept me updated in all matters relating to the property. I initially met Vicky at the property and was immediately impressed by her vast knowledge, commitment and passion for her job. She immediately put all my fears at ease regarding, valuation, marketing and the Home Report. Vicky and Lisa took responsibility for arranging appointments with Vicky showing prospective buyers around the property which was a godsend as it took that pressure off myself at such a sad time. The professionalism, honesty and commitment to customer care shown by every member of the team at Thomas Bradley & Co whom I came in contact with was exceptional I cannot recommend Thomas Bradley legal and residential services highly enough.

I wouldn’t recommend as they fall under what is happening a lot these days with companies, poor customer service. They do not respond to queries. Emailed enquiries as well as Ebony directly and heard nothing back. Surprised my accountant recommended them. Avoid. Edit to add: sort reviews by ‘recent’ and see for yourself.

I will write a review based on my own experience on how to interrupt the process of processing documents with Thomas Bradley and get a refund, I hope it will help the same clients who are in the process of stress to receive documents or from a response from this company. First, write an official complaint letter to the email that is on the Thomas Bradley page, after two weeks send an official letter to interrupt the provision of services in connection with and a request for a refund, at this time contact the bank so that they cancel the transfer of funds and help you return the funds that were paid. If this does not help, contact the Ombudsman after 8 weeks with an official letter, you do not need to pay for such a service. Such a service should be closed, it should not exist

Thomas Bradley and Co were a massive help to both my family and I over the past few months. In November, my dad was taken into Hairmyres and informed that he only had a few weeks left. We were devastated by the news and my dad had concerns that he had no estate planning in place. We were recommended Thomas Bradley and I reached out to get my Dad's affairs in order to give him peace of mind. Shannon Lochrie handled my Dad's case and helped us get everything in place before his passing. I received regular updates and Shannon was always available for any questions which allowed me to focus on other arrangements for my Dad and help him have one less thing to worry about in the end. Part of the estate was the sale of my Dad's property and Thomas Bradley had it's own property team. Vicky Zecchino and Lisa Purvis handled the sale and I couldn't have been in better hands. Everything from the marketing, supporting and the regular/clear communication was top tier. Shannon, Vicky and Lisa went above and beyond for us and we'll always be grateful for that. Would definitely recommend.

We were approached by representatives of this company at a trade show in Glasgow last year, they offered free will writing services in exchange for a legacy to a charity of our choice. An appointment was made for their representative to call at our home in order to gather the information needed to write our wills and a person did turn up as arranged. However, once this information was collected the hard sell began, this is where you are informed that your will is basically worthless unless you have taken out a Power of Attorney as well and, in our case this would cost £700. Anyway, it seemed like the right thing to do so we signed up for this, set up a Direct Debit and were pleased to hear that all would be sorted and we would be covered within 2 - 4 weeks. Anyway, long story short, here we are almost 4 months later and despite having paid £120 deposit, still no Wills, no Power of Attorneys and, when you can get hold of somebody, being constantly fobbed off with excuses ranging from some sort of internal systems breakdown to lost paperwork. Yet each month the Direct Debit is still being taken from our account. We have been told that they cannot cancel the documents and when we said that we wanted to cancel and be refunded the £320 paid so far, we were told that we would still be liable for the full amount. My advice is - DON'T be taken in by scams such as these, use your own solicitor and if you don't have one go to one that comes recommended by friends or family.
