I rented a property from Shanta Residential for myself and my flatmate as we attended college in Glasgow. I have been in and out of rented accommodation for many years due to the nature of my work and Shanta has been by far the easiest, quickest and most pleasant to work with. Repairs were done within a day or so after reporting, inspections were booked in good time and any time we contacted them they were always very helpful. Even when it came to moving out they were unbelievably helpful and understanding of the situation. I would highly recommend and wouldn't think twice about using them again. I would even go to say that if and when I move back to the city they would be my first check to see if they had a property suitable before I looked elsewhere.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

My partner and I rented a flat from Shanta over the past year and would definitely recommend this letting agent to anyone looking to rent in Glasgow. We have had many bad experiences with other letting agents in Glasgow and Edinburgh where it sadly seems to be standard nowadays for there to be a complete lack of basic decency and kindness in this industry. Shanta are a refreshing exception to that! Mark, Gayle and Jayne were lovely in all our dealings with them and they operate a professional and friendly business. We had no issues with getting our deposit back and most issues in the flat were responded to quickly.

Shanta are hands down the best agency I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I have been renting properties for years and it is so often the case that it is a wholly unrelaxing experience. Mark and Gayle made us feel not only welcome, but personally looked after after we had such a hard time finding a property in an increasingly fiercely competitive renting market in Glasgow. Shanta let us see the Property on our own as opposed to a large group viewing, they understand being personable and not just treating people like a number. By doing this we got to ask Gayle loads of questions and she was extremely helpful as well as open and honest, which is very important. The property we have is amazing and they also helped us when asking the landlord if we could repaint the walls which got sorted straight away. The inventory process is an electronic up to date, modern and fail safe process which takes away huge worry of landlords trying to rip you off when you move out, this is a great feature to their service. I couldn’t recommend Shanta more- I wouldn’t even bother with other estate agents in Glasgow, their customer service will not come anywhere near close. Thanks guys!

Personally the worst letting agent I have ever dealt with. I was charged for cleaning a property that was cleaned from top to bottom, I was sent photos of dust on blinds which in turn meant I was charged for for a property that was sitting dormant for over 3 weeks. Very unprofessional, patronising and to be honest very disheartening for renting again. I was deducted more than half my deposit for 'cleaning and carpet shampooing' when I only stayed in the property for 3 months, I did not stay long enough there to warrant a full clean and carpet shampoo. When I left the property it was left to a professional standard and I had also shampooed the carpet myself. In all honestly I feel it was a money grabbing scam. They withheld my deposit for over 2 weeks, this close to Christmas which was just ridiculous. Stay away from this company, unsure where all the good reviews have came from as this was the worst experience I've had after renting over the last 5+ years and living in 5 different homes.
