From the get go - Mark, Cadae, Ali and Melissa provided an excellent service to sell my wife’s property in Battlefield. Their knowledge of the Southside is second to none. The team were able to get the the listing live quickly with excellent marketing. Within 48 hours we had over 20 viewings scheduled and the property went to a closing date then sold, all in under a week. Would highly recommend for anybody looking to buy or sell.

I had a very disappointing experience with Shanta Residential regarding my deposit return. They deducted £180 for cleaning, which I believe is completely unjustified. I was informed that cleaning would be charged at £30 per hour; however, they are now claiming 6 hours of cleaning, which does not reflect the actual condition of the property which we cleaned up to the best standards in good faith and responsibility. I left the flat in a very clean state. The “evidence” provided consisted of zoomed-in photos of the back of a toilet and the washing machine, which feels misleading and does not represent the overall cleanliness of the property. This deduction appears excessive and unfair with no documentation of formal proposal and invoice. I would strongly advise future tenants to take detailed photos and videos when moving out and to carefully review and challenge any deposit deductions from this agency. Shanta will claim they tried to negotiate with us which is completely not true, they instead disregarded our good faith proposals and goodwill gesture to maintain fairness for both parties. They asked us to increase to double the value of our proposed goodwill gesture so they look into it, a complete waste of people’s time which they master. I would advise Shanta to work more on their business values and be more transparent, fair and professional.

I recently moved to Glasgow with my boyfriend. We were informed by friends before we moved to stay away from agencies, as they were apparently very difficult to deal with. As soon as we met Mark we knew this was not the case. Mark was very nice and friendly and had no problems answering the hundreds of questions we had for him. We viewed the flat on a Tuesday evening and we were offered the flat the next morning. As we are not from the UK, this meant we encountered a lot of obstacles in terms of renting, as we did not have a lot of the requested documentation at the time. Mark was extremely helpful in making sure we got all the necessary documentation together and we were able to move in to the flat a couple of days later. When we moved in, we had a few minor issues. I called Shanta Letting and Mark (as well as his team, who are also very friendly and helpful) had repair people come out to the flat straight away...top class service! Overall it was a fantastic experience dealing with Mark and his team. He made our move to Glasgow a very east transition. I would highly recommend Shanta Letting to anyone, as the team are great to deal with and they provide a first class service.
