GoogleI am a new tenant and obtained my apartment through this agency. Jamie (and everyone else I came into contact with) was very professional and efficient throughout the whole process. After the visit, the whole process was fast and I was able to get the keys to the apartment within ten days.

GoogleThe flat was cleaner when I left than when I entered and I was told that a large cleaning fee would be taken out of my deposit due to a dusty oven hood and a single hair in the bathtubs plug. In the end I actually never got my deposit back at all, there was no communication that my whole deposit would be taken from me and sent to the landlord making it irretrievable. I tried fighting this although there was no help from either the branch or the PMC centre and it actually felt like I was the one to blame for this. Otherwise, at the start of the journey the staff in branch were amazing at getting me into the property. I would not have rented if I knew this was what it was like renting with countrywide!

GoogleLiterally the worst letting agency I have EVER come across and I have been a tenant in multiple flats, and never experienced such disregard towards their customers. I feel upset and appalled that I am having to write this however I feel it is only necessary to warn everyone to avoid at all costs. Avoid stress and anxiety by choosing another agency. They never reply, we have had a mice problem for half a year and nothing has been done about it along with multiple other issues. Pls do yourself a favour and avoid guys

GoogleSold our flat a few years ago. Very good service from Countrywide; friendly, good communication, reasonable fees. But they have a referral arrangement with a solicitor, McVey and Murricane, with whom we had a very bad experience (they were extremely slow, and it was very difficult to communicate with them... we had to employ a different solicitor in the end in order to conclude our sale in time). I now understand that McVey and Murricane have a poor reputation amongst solicitors in Glasgow and I was disappointed to discover that Countrywide are paid by McVey and Murricane for their recommendations. I think this is a real compromise by Countrywide, hence only 3 stars.

GoogleDO NOT LET YOUR PROPERTY OUT WITH COUNTRYWIDE. Having moved away for 4 years, I rented my flat out via Countrywide West End Branch. It has been the worst experience. They are horrendously unprofessional and unresponsive. They allowed several tenants in my flat without my permission, they forwarded me emails from the tenant for issues that they should have dealt with as I was paying them a monthly 10% Management Fee. At every step of the way someone either messed something up or handled it completely unprofessionally. That incases any repair, issue, admin, paperwork, money exchange. GoogleCountrywide is appalling. Their communication is the worst I have ever seen from a letting agency, they are disorganised and highly unprofessional. My flat and I have had ongoing problems with them from the moment we moved in. If you can please try and avoid as the stress and money is not worth it. I will be avoiding them at all costs in the future. Very happy with the experience as a first time buyer. GoogleGreat service by Countrywide @Byres Road brunch and Ashton Russell. I was really impressed with the check out process, everyone was very responsive to the emails, and were really fair to us tenants even though we weren't present during the checkout inspection. This is by far the best letting agency I've encountered in the UK.
