A very positive, quick experience in selling our property. Proactive approach to selling which included contacting prospective buyers from property which had sold next door to ours. Updated consistently and ultimately a lot less stressful than we thought. Very handy to have email communication but they were not shy in picking up the phone either. Thanks to everyone!

I was absolutely staggered by the high level of service, all the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I really can't recommend this firm too highly. I live hundreds of miles from the property I was selling, and the agent took all the stress away from what were tricky circumstances.

I contacted Aberdein Considine to handle my sale and onward purchase. They managed to get my house on the market within a tight time frame, one staff member Jordan even worked late from home to meet my dead line put on me from my onward purchase solicitors. They were good at keeping me updated in the beginning. I utilised their mortgage advising service as well. We has Krysia and she was really helpful and knowledgeable. My property was under offer within 24 hours of it going on the market, they managed to get in contact for all viewing etc. Quickly and managed viewer's expectations as I am a shift worker. My only criticism is the day I was to hand my keys over and receive my keys I didn't hear from the solicitors all morning. I felt as if I was left in limbo. I'd been trying to contact them via phone and email. I eventually got contact about 12pm so not too long just felt longer when you're sitting in a removal van.

Terrible, had to call 3 different numbers before someone could help me with some forms. They sent a welcome pack in the post which never arrived, so I had to chase them for an email copy (not sure why they didn't do that in the first place). Took them forever to send the next lot of forms so now I will have to pay second property stamp duty all because they don't care. Find a local independent solicitor, avoid these like the plague.

We were put in touch by a friend (and had a positive experience with a different branch years ago) and, from the initial chat with Krysia to purchase and sale with Kirsty, Devon and Jamie, each element of the process was smooth and easy. I really can’t fault any of it and was amazed how quickly we had a buyer.

TrustpilotProbably the Worst to Re-mortgage with
They are awful. Exceptionally slow for basic transactions (and BEWARE they make time-consuming omissions), communication is particularly lacking - their website has lots of flashy soundbites: "Our aim is to respond to all emails within 3 working hours" however the reality is that it took them 30 DAYS to respond to my email and, even then, it was not an answer - just an acknowledgement that they had received it! They also "claim" to have an "online portal" so that you can track the progress of your re-mortgage "no matter what coffee shop (etc) you are in"! They might actually have an "online portal" but it is not for customers to access - my multiple emails were ignored and when you 'phone to attempt to get the elusive login - the staff lie to you: twice their reply was: "it will be emailed to you in the next 5 minutes"! After 2 months of trying, I gave up! In hindsight I wish I had paid for a competent solicitor firm to deal with my re-mortgage.

I have used AC a couple of times now, buying and selling property. As always, they have been fantastic. From the very professional estate agent Finlay and Jordan to the solicitors Attika and Sean. Even through the pandemic and working from remote areas, I have always been kept up to date, never had to chase them to find out what is happening. Very swift process and with no issues. Very reasonably priced too. Would always recommend them. Thanks to all the team.

Sold our flat and bought a house with Aberdein Considine, and initially they were great. They got the advert on quickly, photos looked good, booked viewings within a week and sold at a price we were happy with. The service from their mortgage advisor was excellent also.However, once they’d secured their commission, the service deteriorated quickly. As this was the first time we had bought and sold at the same time, we thought we could shop around for someone to do conveyancing on our purchase. AC told us we had to use them for both, and assured us it would be easier to have one person managing both the sale and purchase, which made sense. As far as we can tell this was the case until the solicitor who was dealing with us took a holiday. We then had to deal with emails from at least five different people at the firm, who seemed not to communicate with each other at all. The paralegal who was managing our purchase did not even know we were also selling through the same firm!We were sent an incorrect request for funds, when in fact we were due money from them. We had no opportunity to visit the property we were buying after our initial viewing, despite asking and being told we would be able to. Several requests to confirm our moving date were not answered, which meant we had to delay organising time off from work, movers etc. much later than we were comfortable with. At every turn in our purchase we experienced unnecessary stress, which was entirely avoidable.

I used Aberdein Considine to sell my flat and am in the process of buying my new house with them, and they’ve been fantastic: friendly, cheerful, responsive and super-efficient. They’ve been especially good at sorting out one or two odd, unexpected little issues that cropped up here and there. From viewings to completion they’ve been excellent, and I can recommend them without hesitation.

Absolute shambles of a company. They have been due me a balance of about £600 now for six weeks. So far they have seemingly sent out two cheques which have both have been lost in the post . They offered me a bank transfer but it was going to cost £42 for this which I think is outrageous after the experience I have had with them. So after agreeing to waive the cost of the bank transfer, they have overlooked my email…

Awful experience! when I moved in from another country, they just gave me the keys and no indication about how to manage electricity and gas even if i asked so I didn't have anything for one week, i had to sort it by myself (Boiler didn't work,...) Check in report was done briefly where everything was brand new and super clean (and it was not...) instead of check out report was done in every details just to have money back => untrustworthy. I wouldn't recommend to rent with them

I was very pleased with the support and help I received from the Westhill branch of Aberdein Considine. My house was sold very quickly and efficiently and the girls found me a bungalow to purchase. I was kept informed at every stage and found the whole experience very reassuring. They gave us good, solid advice during the recent turbulent months of the property market, whilst also being understanding and supportive throughout. After many years of relying on Russell & Aitken I was rather disconcerted to learn that the business had amalgamated with the larger Aberdein Considine.I was somewhat relieved to learn however that there was continuity by way of Dianne Paterson, Lynda Gibb and Liz Banks, on reception.Our property sale was handled seamlessly by the former familiars in the manner had come to expect from past experiences with R. & A.

TrustpilotPLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I'm a mortgage broker whose been unlucky to have this mob instructed as a 'free legal service' for a few clients by the lender. Shocking service. Should be able to put zero stars. Emails just bounce back, phone rings out, impossible to communicate with. Even the lenders tell us that they're bad and always getting complaints. If you get the opportunity with your lender, take the cashback offer and instruct your own solicitor.

TrustpilotTHIS IS HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS/BROKERS
I am mortgage broker and referred a case to them, I spoke to their manager BEN, this guy have no clue on what is going on. I don't know why the review has no negative star and need minimum 1 star as minimum (I would love to give them minus 10 star if available negative scoring). This company has no sense of business, a simple re-mortgage case was stretched 3 months plus time and asking for redemption figures 2 times and this figures expire before completion. Manager has no clue on what is going on the case and upon asking any question they say "We don't Know". I am sure they do not like to hear this answer for their self.
