PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I'm a mortgage broker whose been unlucky to have this mob instructed as a 'free legal service' for a few clients by the lender. Shocking service. Should be able to put zero stars. Emails just bounce back, phone rings out, impossible to communicate with. Even the lenders tell us that they're bad and always getting complaints. If you get the opportunity with your lender, take the cashback offer and instruct your own solicitor.

A highly skilled

A highly skilled, dynamic, and very professional team. I had encountered problems selling my property with another agency, and I had been waiting for months. With them, the house was sold at the price we wanted in just 10 days!!! I highly recommend this agency.

Excellent service

Excellent service extremely helpful in every way. Second time I have used Aberdein I would highly recommend them. The staff are so pleasant and efficient always there to answer your call regardless off what you want to know. They deliver in every aspect from selling your property to after care for their clients. In both situations my properties were sold so quickly. Thanks to you all for your time and patience.

THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT CUSTOMERS/BROKERS

I am mortgage broker and referred a case to them, I spoke to their manager BEN, this guy have no clue on what is going on. I don't know why the review has no negative star and need minimum 1 star as minimum (I would love to give them minus 10 star if available negative scoring). This company has no sense of business, a simple re-mortgage case was stretched 3 months plus time and asking for redemption figures 2 times and this figures expire before completion. Manager has no clue on what is going on the case and upon asking any question they say "We don't Know". I am sure they do not like to hear this answer for their self.

Atrocious, unbelievable, horrendous! Avoid!!!

Atrocious. PLEASE AVOID!!!Dear Aberdein Considine, in dealing with my remortgaging application, your service was WORSE THAN atrocious! By mid June, I had to chase up the mortgage by myself with the new bank, who told me that an offer had been made on the 8th of May and that it was with my solicitors (you!). However, your team sat on this for over a month. When I phoned, I got some nonsense about email and paper comms, and other such excuses.Likewise, after my remortgage was done, I was still getting notices of non payment from my previous lender, who, on my phoning them, said did not know that they had to close my mortgage account. I asked why and they said your solicitor You!) should have informed them. The people I spoke to in your team were friendly, but your organisational process is poor. It really is unacceptable,. You left me for a month on variable rates paying more than I should, because of your carelessness, and what's worse, no one actually apologised!

Evening all. I don't normally do posts like this but we've just moved house and can't praise Aberdein Considine enough. The estate agency team in Byres Road, led by Matt Munday, assisted by Jenny, were totally on top of it at all times. It's not the actual marketing which is priority.....it's the breadth and quality of the preparatory advice.....in our case, massive declutter required before the video / photo shoot and similar advice. V impressed.

As a landlord and later

As a landlord and later, when I came to selI my property, I have found Aberdein Considine helpful and efficient throughout. Their services have provided peace of mind and value for money. The members of the team have been great to deal with over the years - personable and professional.

Poor Poor Service

We were allocated this lot as part of a remortgage package. This simple remortgage has taken over 4 months. I was asked for further documentation which I duly sent the same day... I followed with a phone to check it was sufficient 4 days later and they confirmed it was and told me that it had been forwarded to the completion team and I would here something in 4 days... 4 weeks later I recieved another email requesting further information.. I think it took 3 redemption figures from ,y existing lender before it was finally completed.I was literally one day from cancelling the whole thing and starting with someone new.Aberdein Considine please do not bother replying saying you would like to look into it as you have said this to so many people leaving a simialr review. You are obviuosly unable to improve or worse, you dont care about your clients at all.

Brilliant, understanding service

I sold my property through this branch and was very impressed with the whole process. I was selling from overseas and the entire team could not be more understanding & comprehensive in their handling of the entire process. The staff were flexible, insightful and supportive throughout the whole process from Susan and Douglas to Morven.Would not hesitate to recommend.

Wasted time

What is the point in having online forms to sign and fill out if you still have to return hard copies anyway. If you have to send one you may as well send the all. Also the online system is not clear or the easiest to use, I would just avoid it altogether. Lenders choice, I certainly would not use them.

Going through remortgage using this outfit , they have had all signed documents from us ( plus signed witness personal guarantee forms , current lender statements account )details from us for over 4 weeks. Remortgage offer was dated 11/03/22 , it expires 09/06/22 . The item outstanding was for them to request a redemption statement, to date 3 weeks this still is outstanding. We are likely to lose the remortgage offer. Total shambles

Highly recommended.

We had excellent service from the Aberdein Considine property team in Inverurie. Special recognition is due to Jessica, who did an excellent job of preparing the marketing package (Home report survey / photography / video tour were all done in a single day), and the rest of the team then guided us exceptionally well through the following sale and purchase process.

Aberdein Considine made purchasing a flat a very easy and straightforward process. Samantha the solicitor, Kassie the mortgage advisor and Samantha the paralegal were all so helpful and explained the process as we went along. What could have been a stressful process was very stress free. I would recommend using Aberdein Considine 100%.

Excellent

We started off with an appointment with the Mortgage Advisor within Aberdein Considine, here we got great help and knowledge on how the whole process works, no question was ever an issue to ask!! We then went onto purchase our first property and the whole team was great from start to finish, could not fault anyone and it made it so much better that the timescale was super quick.

Disappointing

Terrible service from start to finish.Firstly, the advice from their in-house mortgage advisor was misleading and geared solely to him receiving commission, even going so far as to lie to us about our eligibility in getting a mortgage from another lender not associated with the firm.Secondly, after deciding to proceed with using their solicitor only we suffered poor communication throughout the process, unexplained holdups for weeks on end and surprise charges on the final bill which we had to question and request were removed! When trying to contact our solicitor Sean, every time we called we were told he was unavailable or we got the answering machine and he never once called back as we were told he would. He even had an answering message on his phone stating he was on holiday until March when we were at this point in July, which shows exactly their kind of attention to detail! At one point we were due to complete in 2 days time and had still received no update or requested paperwork and we turned up at the office unannounced in order to try and get some answers on the situation! Also very disappointed when asking about an agreement to be drawn up. Spoke with the in-house family law dept and was quoted £800. Decided against this as it was extra cost that I didn’t have after buying a property. Made some enquires independently and had an agreement drawn up for £200 in the end.During the whole process we felt like we didn’t matter and a no point felt valued.

Poor Experience

Very poor experience using Aberdein Considine to purchase a property. Left waiting for weeks without an update on progress. Everything left to the last minute which made the week before my move very stressful, despite the fact I had checked numerous times that they needed no more paperwork. Turns out they did with 4 days to go!! Emails and calls remained unanswered, seemed every time I was trying to get in touch she was not at her desk. Trying to call in my break from work to get an answer on whether or not the sale was going to go through after sending emails which were unanswered. Cannot believe how much I paid to be treated like this. Terrible service. Very much felt like a number and not a valued client. They really could not care less. Would NOT recommend and in fact have told friends to avoid.

Be aware

Having just moved from England to Scotland I rented a property managed by Aberdein Considine. As independent estate agents are not regulated by the council (my daughter rents through PKC and never had any issues with the flat or the landlord) agency really has no interest if the rental property is in a suitable condition to be rented out or not. Maintenance issues are handled incredibly slowly and with out care. I raised issues with the fact out of the 3 radiators in the property only 1 worked (just) and the kitchen window would simply fall out if it wasn’t secured by the flimsy latch causing a massive hazard, safety issue. Both bedroom windows couldn’t be closed correctly and seals had perished beyond use. The state of the property upon moving in it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned at all before I got there, and I don’t mean just a bit of dust! I had been in the property for about 10 days when I got round to informing Aberdein Considine about the issues (beginning of September) I was told someone would come out to measure the windows which they did after about a week and I was told it would take a month to replace...fast forward to November and still no communication! I then decided enough was enough! No help or communication, spending a huge amount of money to keep the property warm due to lack of suitable radiators, I searched online what I could do.By law every landlord has to comply with certain regulations in order to rent out premises. Property has to be waterproof, wind and draft proof and with working gas and electricity. Also any windows have to be secure and also in good working condition so you can air the premises and also avoid condensation. And all fixes and repairs are to be carried out in a reasonable time. The property I was renting out for 3 months since September 2020 (I have since moved out) was drafty, cold, electric heaters not working, windows falling out of the frame. All that the agency was able to do for me was to assure that it will be fixed some time in January. That’s 5 months after notifying the agency of the maintenance issues.Staff also not very pleasant to deal with, very arrogant. Does not accept accountability.
