Alex and his team are dedicated to what they do 24/7 and are among the hardest workers I’ve seen. Selling and buying is one of the most stressful things someone can do, having years of experience of customer service I can say that all the stress is taken out of it. I was contacted and updated regularly, the presentation of my house was amazing, owing to their investment in upgrading their photography skill set and great advice. It’s clear that you are valued as a customer and forming a close working relationship is something that isn’t available with an online company.

Being a smaller, independent estate agency means that Alex is directly involved in every transaction and passionately cares about his business and their clients. Our most recent dealing with AB Property Consultants was for a the sale of an upper cottage flat in a '4-in-a-block' in Glasgow. The property was of non-traditional construction - the knowledge and expertise of Alex and the team was invaluable and ensured the property sold quickly for the best possible price. GoogleWe sold both my flat and my partners cottage flat with Alex and the team at AB property. We were both really happy with the service from start to finish. Alex gave us a great service and price. Photos were done quickly and professionally. Advertisements on all the main sites with good coverage. Chrissy was in regular contact to update us with progress and book viewings. GoogleUnfortunately had a really terrible experience. First of all moving in, February 2023, several issues in the property, seals coming away from the bath missing glass in a door, cracks in grout missing pieces off radiators and a window that wouldn’t shut in the master bedroom all of which we were assured would be promptly dealt with, none of these issues were ever fixed and we moved out June 2024. On top of all the existing issues that were visible on our first day in the property, after not even a month of living there black mould was rife through the house, the walls physically wet to touch especially bad in the master bedroom and the smallest of the 3 bedrooms which was going to be used for our -at the time- newborn when she was old enough. Not the standard of home you are expecting to live in when you are paying £700 a month rent and have forked out £1400 for a deposit. The washing machine that was in the property also broke during our time there and took over a week for someone to even come out to look at it and a further 3 to have it replaced, after multiple phone calls and us being told that they were waiting on a response from the landlord, we were out a fortune in launderettes as we have 2 very young children. Upon moving out of the property we had an inspection and were told everything was fine and we were good to hand back the keys (good riddance) the deposit was not returned to us until the end of August, bearing in mind we handed the keys back at the end of May. We requested a full repayment of our deposit, which was disputed to deduct £200 for “cleaning” which considering it was cleaner than when we moved in (it was filthy and took me a week to clean before I could put anything in it) seemed a bit unreasonable to me. On top of that, we had to replace the majority of our furniture totalling £2000 (roughly) not even including clothes and other odd bits damaged. Meaning our deposit wouldn’t even cover this not even considering the fact that we still had paid £1200 for our deposit for our next home, when I contacted them about this I was not responded to at all. Overall an extremely negative experience and has actually really put me off looking at several properties just based on this company being the letting agent due to how badly managed things were. *** Edit *** This is Infact not what happened. The FULL amount of the deposit was released to us after I disputed your charges with safe deposit Scotland and no one responded to them (a usual from your staff really) I actually know the previous tenant and they too had issues with mould and damp so this statement is a blatant lie - at no point did I expect the landlord to change anything however I did expect that repairs that were promised to be carried out to be carried out and not left and never repaired. The washing machine repair did in fact take a shockingly long time and if you truely believe your staff are carrying out these repairs in “days” I urge you to look at your records.
Hi Hannah, firstly - I am sorry to understand that you are disappointed in your dealings with us. However, you raise 3 points which I think it’s fair to address - firstly, deposit deduction - we don’t hold deposits for tenants, it’s held by the government body and when they are satisfied that the property isn’t to the same standard as you got it, they release money from it to us. This is what happened. Next, furniture etc - this is a rental property, the condition of the property was safe and habitable as per the repairing standards regulations. You are the second tenant we had in and the previous was very happy at the property. I understand you wanted to move in and for the landlord to change everything, but that’s not how it works with a rental. 3rd point, repairs sometimes it does take time for these things to be done and we are talking days or weeks, not months. I hope you are pleased with your onward move and wish you the very best for the future

We had our newly refurbished property on the market with another agent for 4 months with no offers and we decided to switch agents to AB Property.
