TrustpilotFraudulent Practices
GreyStar Property Management, Stone Oak Apartments, San Antonio Texas presented deceptive and misrepresented themselves as an Active 55+ Community. Instead, it was a Senior Retirement and Hospice Care facility. I personally found a dementia patient lost in the halls, observed Hospice Care Nurses comings and goings, and spoke with several other tenants who validated my suspicions.

TrustpilotAfter promised payment never arrived
After promised payment never arrived, lies upon lies it is now effecting my family’s health including my heart and their well being. Including two young children stressed and no money for groceries.Blocking us from moving in to Arborlada causing money loss, cancelling movers, missing work, to collecting all monies from us even though we were not approved. All monies promised back to us a month ago.Suddenly refund could not go to back to method we used that a manager would call us which she did and stated she would call the next day if she missed us. Called back same day while working no answer and was never called back. We then are emailed stating check would be expedited sent October 8th told this a couple of times I’m sorry a month is not expedited and the staff knew that was our only money to get moved into a new place.Last weekend we get an spammy unsolicited email saying it’s an Arborlada refund? No warning to what this is so we deleted it as we were told a check was mailed. We then call the company on email and told yes it was a refund and legit. We open the email they sent to find a refund for $300 and not what they took out of my bank account totaling $500. We desperately need that money but did not accept it as it’s incorrect.Since holding our money we were forced myself being disabled and have a heart condition, my wife has a broken leg and ankle we moved us our self because our money we paid was never expedited or given back. All the stress they put on our family I already thought was enough but because of direct involvement in holding our money we now are dealing with more pain and both suffering because of it. My doctor is recommending surgery again because something I lifted during the move has caused more damage, same with my wife possible repair because of the strenuous work she was also forced to do with no refund.Never in our life have we been put through something like this with no regard to our feelings, our suffering or well being.

Trustpilot"Dispute of Unjust Charges and Rude Service Encounter"
I am writing to formally address an issue I encountered regarding my recent lease at Westone Apartments in Durham. I lived in the apartment for six months while my home was being built, and upon leaving, I agreed to pay two months' worth of fees. I fulfilled that agreement and moved into my new home. However, three months after moving out, I received an unexpected call from a Greystar representative. The person was extremely rude and demanded that I pay for a full year of rent because I allegedly missed one month’s payment. While I am willing to resolve the issue and pay for the missed month, I do not agree to being charged for an entire year, as this was never part of our agreement.During the call, I attempted to discuss the matter and offer payment for the missed month, but the representative refused to accept it and then abruptly hung up on me.I kindly ask for a resolution to this situation and request a detailed explanation of the charges. I am prepared to settle any legitimate outstanding amounts but will not agree to paying for an additional year that I did not authorize.

TrustpilotUnacceptable Experience with Greenford…
Unacceptable Experience with Greenford Quay - Deposit ScamA deeply unsatisfactory experience with Greenford Quay, a rental agency and property management company. The handling of our rental application for an apartment at Lyons Dock, Greenford, has been marked by a profound lack of professionalism and raises serious concerns about their business practices. As part of our application process, my wife and I were required to pay a deposit of £200. However, the letting agent, Aaron, proceeded on a 14-day holiday without prior notification, coinciding with the imminent three-week deadline for our move-in date. During this period, we diligently contacted Greenford Quay, and upon receipt of a response from the General Manager, Thomas Garlich, we were assured that the head of the sales team, Rhiannon, would handle our case. Regrettably, we received no further communication from them.Upon Aaron’s return, he informed us that our reference check had been unsuccessful and abruptly exited the WhatsApp group, leaving us without any guidance or assistance. Despite submitting substantial savings proof, more than sufficient to cover five to six years of tenancy, we find the reference check outcome highly questionable.Over six weeks later, we continue to be in limbo, awaiting the return of our £200 deposit. Our urgent need to secure alternative accommodation, with only one week remaining before our current tenancy expires, has been severely hindered by this mismanagement.Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and applicable regulations, tenants are entitled to fair treatment, transparency, and timely handling of deposits. Greenford Quay’s failure to meet these expectations is unacceptable and reflects poorly on their business integrity.I strongly urge Greenford Quay to rectify this situation promptly by refunding our deposit and issuing a formal apology for the distress caused. Such disregard for tenant rights and financial commitments is unacceptable and undermines the company’s reputation.I would like to caution prospective tenants to exercise caution and consider alternative options when dealing with Greenford Quay.In summary, my experience emphasizes the significance of thorough due diligence when selecting a rental agency. I hope this review serves as a valuable resource to prevent similar experiences.

God Forbid the community finds out they might want to take vengeance against for filing this complaint. Talk about being afraid for your rights and your legal well-being & every morning you wake up and Cars are on milk crates

TrustpilotGreystar Doesn't Care About Its Customers
It is absolutely impossible to ever reach anyone in corporate despite 25 phone calls, emails, voice messages. The company is ineffective in dealing with customers and is only focused on their goals.. rental occupancy rates, revenue, etc. It is sad. As somebody that has not rented in 20 plus years and looked forward to the experience, I am very disappointed with how things have been handled and to add insult to injury, I cannot get anyone from leadership to call me back.

TrustpilotMY RATING IS ZERO TO THE ONE-MILLIONTH
MY RATING IS ZERO TO THE ONE-MILLIONTH. HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF. I am 65-year-old, senior citizen, and Greystar staff is evicting me because I can't pay my rent because Greystar increased my rent by $1,467 and some change. Further, Greystar does not honor senior citizens. No senior discount on rent. Corporate and Staff are impervious to seniors. I ALSO LEARNED THAT NEW BUILDINGS ARE EXEMPT FROM RENT CONTROL. COTA VERA IS EXEMPT. THEY CAN DO CHARGE ANYTHING, INCREASE RENT TO OUTRAGEOUS RATES. I converted to month-to-month after Greystar staff severely breached my privacy by taping my lease-renewal to my doorknobm all information filled in, not in envelope, facing outward, visible to public-at-large, anyone to read, untape and copy, for a whole week while I was away from home on business for all to see -- exposing my private information, bringing unwanted attention to my unit, and alerting that I was not home. I requested that Greystar not increase my rent as a result for violating my privacy. Greystar has Kimball Tirey and St John Law firm. This law firm is VICIOUS. This law firm bullies and terrorizes and uses intimidation-tactics. This law firm is incorrigibly vicious and reflects negatively on Greystar.I have contacted Greystar MULTIPLE TIMES. ZERO RESPONSE.I can't believe how AWFUL, DETACHED, UNRESPONSIVE Greystar. NO ACCOUNTABILITY. GREYSTAR IS IMPUDENT TO TENANT-MISTREATMENT. THERE IS NO CORPORATE ACCOUNTABILITY FOR ITS STAFF. Corporate ghosts me. It really says much that Greystar treats senior citizens so badly and also charges senior citizens OUTRAGEOUS RENT RATES AND INCREASE RENT BY $1500. OFFERS NO SENIOR-CITIZEN DISCOUNT.And to think. I waited for GREYSTAR to build this property. Now Greystar is evicting me.

TrustpilotSerious security issues for seniors
Hi Neighbors, I feel the need to give you a warning about the significant security issues here at Overture55+. As most of you know, we recently had two robberies at gunpoint in what was supposedly a secure part of our garage. As far as I can tell, the reason this occurred is because Greystar decided to 1) hire an incompetent Security company while the garage door was broken and 2) have NO security for some period of time. There also have been numerous thefts from the mail room. I can also report that I have had deliveries vanish twice from my front door. Both times they were either stolen or thrown out by the trash valet company. When I reported this to Greystar management, they told me that I had to work out a solution with the trash valet company!! Obviously, that is not the case; it is their vendor. In addition, currently, Greystar has two nationwide class action lawsuits against it for various misrepresentations and unethical billing practices. I know some of you have joined those lawsuits. In my professional career I have managed dozens of apartment buildings and dozens of property managers like Greystar. Their incompetence (at best) is frightening and well below industry standards.Be very careful out there.

TrustpilotLanguage Discrimation, robberies, Teenagers smoking Mariguana in the pool
I am going to talk about my experience as a current resident. This place is not as advertised. They steal, dog waste on every corner. Front office staff poorly qualified to serve the public. They do not have Spanish speaking staff for current residents like me. Naesha Mitchell's response to a duplicate payment issue was that I should bring my own translator to resolve my issue. Completely discriminatory!! Glossophobia or discrimination against Spanish-speaking clients. Hello!!!!! I am a nurse in a hospital and I have to make myself understood with my patients so that they do not feel discriminated against. I am a client here too!!!Another situation is that you can experience all the noises there are, both from the neighbor on the 2nd floor and from outside noises. Anyone can enter since they do not have true controlled access and there are no security cameras. I mean! You can be exposed to being carjacking and nothing happens. Think long and hard before making the decision to move here! It's not worth the price! Perfect Ghetto place!

TrustpilotI was at Leander Junction apartments and it was turned over to Greystar management
I was at Leander Junction apartments on Ronald Reagan. After numerous management company changes I left when my lease was up. They did not provide me with 60 day renewal notice. I reminded them of this so they said they would not pursue, but I needed to be out by March 14, 2022. Now in 2024 they have a collection agency trying to collect unpaid fictitious charges. Electric ( I had PEC) and that is who I paid. Now they say I owe for trash, pest control and other charges from 2021. I demanded they send me a print out of each and every rental invoice and my payment to the complex. They have failed to do so. I got a call from Genesis collections. I sent them a dispute email along with their list of fictitious and fraudulent charges I was disputing. If, I did not pay these charges ( they were included in my monthly invoice) I would have been advised of it and evicted. They refuse to send me all of this documentation.

Smoke infested crap hole of a building with management who never answers concerns or complaints. Was forced to break the lease because I have a lung condition and the fact no one would do anything about he excessive cigarette smoking in the building. Gave them 60 days notice - while I lived with friends because I could not live there - and only two months AFTER I moved did they decide (without a conversation or notification) that they wanted another 2 months of rent. THEY BREACHED THE LEASE, not me. I signed a lease for a smoke free building and it was like living inside an ashtray. I have taken them to court, I have the NYS Attorney General investigating them. If you lived there, you should the same - it's easy to open a case online.

TrustpilotAn unauthorized withdrawal
An unauthorized withdrawal was made to my bank account during the month of September. I have already paid my September's rent earlier and the earlier payment was recorded on my payment record. The bank and the office stated nothing can be done. My bank changed their mind and honored my stop payment on the unauthorized withdrawal. Dalian Monterey Village charged me an $100 NSF FEE.
