TrustpilotThis regards 212 Stuart St in Boston
This regards 212 Stuart St in Boston, MA, and the review also concerns Greystar building managers. Before I even finished my sentence the concierge Sheikh, who is foreign himself, told me, "In this country we..." I had not even finished my sentence to evidence any breaching of the law or social norms. Basically, what happened was that I told him I observed that another concierge Nathi seemed to treat me differently and I wanted to see if there was discrimination involved so I'd have to buy the building to access CCTV footage to get a large enough sample and do some proper statistical testing. Yet he was trying to tell me they do things by the book in this country and that you can't just have your own way without doing the right thing. Touche, my whole point was to procure evidence before proclaiming any conclusions, and nothing could be more by the book than that, yet he thought it in his place to tell me how things are done 'in this country.' I reminded him I'd lived here for over a decade but he didn't apologize. There also seems to be some presumption there that if you're not from 'this country' you're from a rogue nation that doesn't follow ethical protocol? I also happen to come from a country with a lower corruption index and stricter laws (with reputedly high adherence to the law too), but regardless of where I'm from, that was a prejudiced statement I had never heard used on me in my entire life. Courtney the building manager said they would've said the same thing to someone from Texas. Notwithstanding it's wrong to other an out of state person, it's also a fragile excuse coz a Texan is from 'this country' and wouldn't have been told "In this country..." Subsequently, she told me she didn't understand why such a phrase would be upsetting even though I'd already told her it presumed that foreigners don't know the law and also that where they're coming from has lower standards for abiding by ethical protocol. The fact that she'd ask me this again suggests very ingrained prejudice. She said "I'm a proud American." I don't see what national pride has to do with this unless it means that her pride is contingent on her imagining that she has exclusive national 'cultural capital' and also that her perception of the high worth of her national mores is contingent on perceiving other nations' as being of lower standards (in this context of following ethical protocol). I never had a formal apology without excuses, only complaints about me complaining about this. Victim-blaming is easy.Much more troubling stuff - view my Google review on 212 Stuart St too.

TrustpilotUnprofessional Treatment During Hardship
My experience with this management company was extremely disappointing. While going through documented domestic violence hardship and financial instability, I felt I was treated in a discriminatory and demeaning manner by Accounts Receivable specialist Samantha LePak. The communication was hostile and dismissive when I asked for help and payment options. Thankfully another staff member later handled the matter professionally, but no resident in crisis should be treated the way I was. I hope the company takes situations like this more seriously in the future.

TrustpilotBeautiful Community, Misleading Application Process
We toured Elan Crown Point with Manuela, and the community itself is beautiful. Before applying, we were upfront about being in an active Chapter 13 bankruptcy and asked whether this would automatically disqualify us. Manuela assured us that credit was only one factor, that other criteria were considered, and that as long as those areas were strong, approval was still possible. She instructed us to submit documentation related to the bankruptcy, which we did, including a full Credit Explanation Letter, which any realtor or lender would recognize as a legitimate supporting document.

TrustpilotAs an employee of Greystar I can tell…
As an employee of Greystar I can tell you that YES we are told to nickel and dime the residents. My property manager and maintenance personal continually did shady stuff like putting scuff marks on walls and scratching paint in the apartments of tenants who would recently moved out. Also we would charge tenants for new carpet while only having the carpet cleaned. I saw the most horrific money grabbing of the elderly and disabled. Management would continually go after the total amount of the cleaning deposit while only doing minimal repairs. Especially if there were a lot of empty apartments on the property. Management does the cleaning deposit charges once the tenant leaves and if the tenant moved into another city a lot of times they could not fight the charges. That's why they hold your cleaning deposit for 30 days after you move out. Total scam. I felt dirty after my first day. Needless to say I only lasted a few months tell I found a better job. Also the pay was lousy and benefits were horrible.

TrustpilotGreystar is absolutely horrible.
Greystar is absolutely horrible.Their brand new units located in Caldwell Idaho are cheap and not built correctly. Our patio door is jacked up and you can't see outside. They refuse to replace itOn top of this they sent a note on Saturday to our door saying we owe more Rent.We paid 3 months rent in Advance. Now they want a deposit for my ESA, I'm disabled and have a Dr's letter for my animals. We have been here for 3 months. They are also charging for Internet which is included, And they sent us a bill for water, trash, and sewer that wasn't in our name and to pay it all the way in Florida Why would I pay a bill Not in our name and especially in Florida We live in Idaho The manager Amanda is clueless and does not know what the hell she is doing. If you call the office, they never call you back. You have to go find them.We pay $ 1875.00 a month for a 2 bedroom. We have been promised the pool and hot tub would be open in April.Today is June 22nd and it just opened. We still can't use the BBQ because there is no gas to them.Greystar you owe us and the other tenants money for the amenities that were promised and you didn't deliver on.They also harass the senior citizens and disabled people living here. The tenants are not happy living here.DO NOT RENT FROM GREYSTAR,THEY HAVE A TON OF COMPLAINTS AND THEY ARE BEING SUED IN CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS.

TrustpilotBIGGEST NIGHTMARE
Unfortunately Greystar acquired my property rental as I moved out. Legally, they are obligated to honor my lease which stated the security deposit I was required to pay was $3025. I filed a small claim and was awarded the security deposit. I have been waiting since I moved out 05/16/25 (yes they have 21 days in CA). All the "corporate" or "regional" office phone numbers are recordings that end the call regardless of the selection made. I don't understand how they are still in business with the terrible experience everyone has. I'm starting to think this is all a stage since no one above a property manager can be reached.

TrustpilotBusiness As Usual for Greed
They are a massive company and have deep pockets. This is due to their business model that extracts every possible dollar. Its a race to the bottom. The only thing that keeps them in check is compliance/regulation which they are happy to circumvent if the legal and reputational cost out weigh the short finance gain for the asset and community management team. They'll sell the asset down stream once lawsuits pile up.

TrustpilotRenter Beware!!
I am posting this factual account to protect future tenants and exercise my right to report on a matter of public safety. On August 20, 2025, the Las Vegas Justice Court ruled in my favor against Citron Apartments and Russell Mesa Fee Owner LLC in Case Number 25A000982 after finding the unit uninhabitable due to hazardous mold that endangered the health of my 14-year-old son. Upon moving into the unit on March 31, 2025, I discovered visible mold behind the master bathroom toilet and documented it on my signed check-in sheet on the very first day. I sent a formal notice to management on April 11, 2025, warning that I would hire experts if they did not act, but they dismissed my concerns during an inspection on April 3 and failed to resolve the issue. I subsequently hired Merry Maids, whose assessment identified prior water damage as the likely cause of the mold, and MI&T Environmental, whose professional lab results confirmed hazardous concentrations of Chaetomium and Penicillium/Aspergillus. These are recognized as some of the deadliest molds to humans, and testing showed nearly 1,400 CFU/m3 in the unit. A judge reviewed this evidence and awarded me a judgment for damages. Despite this judicial order, the property is managed by Greystar and has refused to pay the judgment while actively reporting a debt of 3,388 dollars to credit bureaus. As of January 13, 2026, they verified this debt to TransUnion despite having a copy of the court order, which has forced me to file a formal Identity Theft and Fraudulent Reporting report with the FTC. Under Nevada NRS 41.660, I am protected in sharing this information as a matter of public interest and I have the physical evidence for everything stated above.

TrustpilotFire Accident due to Greystar Negligence - Life Threatening
IF you value your life, please do not move here. This review is for 221 Bergen St - Greystar property.1. No proper inspection is done prior to apt move in.2. Got into a fire accident the other day where the oven caught on fire within a minute of turning it on for the first time. Even when there was nothing inside it. Fire originated from below the bottom panel and shows clear signs of negligence from management.Management is pretty rude and are self centered. Attaching one of the videos, which shows soot from under the bottom panel where the fire started from.3. Extremely dirty house was given with cobwebs hanging from ceiling and dirt streaks in toilet, dirty water dispenser and with most appliances in repair. When I showed pics of water dispenser to management, I got a pretty rude response asking me to adjust to how things are. Rather than cleaning it.4. Witnessed couple of bugs as well.5. Also after moving in, it took me 4 weeks of chasing after them to have the dryer fixed, cleaning, kitchen repairs, fire alarm repairs and other repairs done.6. Insurance management is a mess. Even after providing proper insurance details, still received multiple mails and emails for more details of insurance from Assurant.7. Maintenance is mentioned as 24/7 on website which is a lie. It is only available between 9am and 6pm. But that is only if staff is available. Otherwise, emergency maintenance such as in case of gas/water leakage etc kind of incidents - apparently is available.8. Deliveries are often left at wrong place as drivers get confused due to the multiple doors. Packages are mishandled.I have pics and videos but since the app does not let me post, you can check for "221 Bergen St" apartments on Google maps for the attached pics and videos. So people can be careful when they visit this place.

TrustpilotUnhelpful and Terrible Management
I've been dealing with so many issues at the One12 Courtland property that have made my living situation a nightmare. Where do I even begin? The parking garage door was also left broken for weeks, leaving the area insecure. I was very concerned about the safety of myself and my property. There is also only 1 hour guest parking, so if you ever want to have a guest over longer than an hour, then you have to park across the street and pay. Then, my car parked IN the garage had its wiring harness chewed up by rats. The complex needs to address this rodent problem to protect residents' vehicles. This is most likely due to the uncleanliness of this place due to the constant sticky floors and the reeky smell of trash and weed. You can see in the images attached the GRIME on the stairs (it was recently power washed due to some recent reviews to cover their tracks). There was also a 3-day water outage due to a burst pipe, and the complex only provided 2 water bottles per resident per day. I had to go elsewhere just to shower and use the restroom. And the elevator was out of service for more than 2 months, making it a huge hassle for me and other residents to access our homes. It also may be an ADA violation. To top it all off, a resident's laundry key card mistakenly gave someone access to enter my apartment. This was a major violation of my privacy and safety. The $200 rent credit they offered as compensation is completely unacceptable.I would like to highlight that this incident aligns with the terms outlined on Page 7 of my lease agreement, which explicitly states that any violation of safety and privacy constitutes grounds for the termination of the lease. Despite everything I have gone through I have not been allowed to break my lease.I've had to seek legal counsel due to all these issues, which I believe constitute premise liability and negligence on the complex's part. The apartment management Mary ensured to do her part to slow the legal process by refusing to connect my lawyer with Greystar's legal department until I contacted Chris the regional manager. I strongly advise anyone considering living here to reconsider. This has been an absolutely terrible experience.

Even if they put a sign up saying they are away from the desk , they have no coverage. The only time they are in sight is when they are taking a tour around. Your contact method is by text only, which they usually do not answer. DO NOT MOVE HERE. It looks pretty, but it is hollow inside . Once you are here it is costly to move out, so you are stuck

TrustpilotImprint Apartments Supports Scientology
I have recently found out that the owners and management of Imprint support the Church of Scientology. The Cult of Scientology has committed many crimes against humanity. They are involved in Human Trafficking, Child and Elder Abuse, Family Disconnection, and Financial Fraud. On March 3rd, 2024, Scientology opened its new Ideal Org in Printer's Row. The management of Imprint threatened a tenant with trespass if they allowed a known Scientology protester to enter the building. First off to think a company that you pay a monthly fee to would threaten you with trespass is horrid enough, but to side with the Church of Scientology is despicable. I stand for humanity and refuse to rent from anyone who would support such crimes.

TrustpilotAVOID ALL GREYSTAR-MANAGED properties
0 Star RATING: AVOID ALL GREYSTAR-MANAGED properties. Several negative complaints posted about Everleigh Short Pump 55+. We have rented for awhile at Everleigh Short Pump 55+ Apt Homes Community & the services & attentiveness to us have greatly deteriorated. Management staff has changed a couple of times & the current management team are a group of emotionally-immature, young, highly defensive, passive-aggressive draconian style team members who manage Everleigh Short Pump Greystar in Richmond’s West End. The Property Manager has been highly unprofessional & turns a blind eye to complaints about her staff members. In addition, our VALUES DO NOT MATCH those of Everleigh Short Pump Greystar’s Management Team! They have created a toxic environment at Everleigh Short Pump & have been engaging in micromanaging & controlling residents especially ours when food is brought out to the Clubhouse for residents. Greystar engages in MARKETING SCAMS. The property is beautiful inside & outside but DO NOT BE TAKEN ON NOR FOOLED BY these features! Awful deceitful intolerant Management Staff. No cameras in management offices. NO CAMERAS IN ANY OF THE COMMON AREAS NOR STAIRWELLS. They practice favoritism when it comes to attentiveness & helpfulness & services to residents. Discriminate if residents’ personalities upsets them & then avoids & ignores these residents’ concerns. Leasing Agent started out great & but started to disengage from certain residents whom she disliked due to complaints against her! Do NOT TRUST ANYONE IN EVERLEIGH SHORT PUMP MANAGEMENT OFFICE! They engage in gaslighting residents when confronted with residents’ complaints about staff members.Property Manager refuses to intervene in tenant-tenant harassment as well. The new Assistant Manager makes excuses for staff members when complaints about their attitudes are voiced to her. Very unprofessional! They have each other’s backs but NOT ALL the residents’ backs!Tenants are afraid to complain to management office as some staff members are aggressive & engage in intimidation tactics. Complaining to the Everleigh Short Pump Management Team HAS TURNED OUT TO BE INEFFECTIVE FOR US! They only make excuses for staff & HAVE TOLD US THEY DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN ANY TENANT-TENANT ISSUES INCLUDING HARASSMENTS! THIS 55+ Apt complex is run like an Assisted Living Facility.DO NOT RENT AT EVERLEIGH SHORT PUMP 55+A VERY MIS-MANAGED APARTMENT HOME PROPERTY

TrustpilotFabricated noise ordinance - blatant cover up
we have endured months and months of being awakened in the middle of the night--2am, 3am, 4am and so on-- and kept awake, by our upstairs neighbors who have admitted to us in a letter that they work during the night from home and sleep during the daytime hours--the exact opposite of when most residents adhere to the state-wide and community expressed quiet hours of 10pm - 7 am to refrain from making loud noises. There is a large family in a 2 bedroom who get up, shower, dress, use their washer and dryer and other computers and heavy machines--we can even hear them on their keyboards above our bed. Their constant banging is a mystery to us--they rarely leave the home even in daylight--but the banging can go on all night. We were advised by our management to record videos to demonstrate frequency and noise by date and time which we did. We played management a sample to hear. After more complaining to management, including verbal, written and in-person meetings, we were informed that a Notice to Cure was sent. The noises and banging nightly continued, also recorded by us. Management then asked for copies of the recordings which we provided, as well as preparing the legal position of both the community lease and this county's (Polk) noise disturbance ordinance--both clearly stating the quiet hours 10 pm - 7 am, tenants' right to peaceful enjoyment of their property, and the county noise ordinance stating NO decibel level is required to constitute disturbance. After 5 months of sleepless nights, management then informed us that their company's lawyer had advised them that unless they created a disturbance above 75 decibels (!), no further action could be taken. They offered us a different apartment, or the option of leaving altogether without penalty. They also advised us to get a white noise machine. We refused all 3 options--none of these 'solutions' curbed the problem of the neighbors' noise. We next asked to speak with their lawyer to seek a copy of this 'so-called decibel ordinance' since it directly contradicted the one we had provided. When we called their lawyer, he was rude, refused to speak to us, and told us that we could find the law ourselves. Click--he hung up on us, mid-sentence!We then consulted the Polk County code enforcement police officer, and in two emails to us, the police confirmed that no such decibel level existed to define a disturbance. We once again copied management on the county ordinance and the police reply refuting their interpretation of the law to protect us from chronic nightly, noise. We were informed finally, after sending 2 emails, the first ignored, that management would do nothing further; that we would need to call the police ourselves in future.NO ONE HAS EVER RETURNED OUR CALLS OR MESSAGES TO REGIONAL MGT. NOW OVER 3 WEEKS AGO! NOISE CONTINUES NIGHTLY!!!

I don’t recommend at all! They didn’t give my security deposit back of 500$ and they sent me an email saying that i owe them 900$ for carpet replacement and stove top replacement which i don’t understand why bcz am very sure those had normal wear and tear! I requested for pictures and receipts but none of my messages was responded! They deserve 0 star

Moved into an apartment managed by Greystar on 11/17. There was a roach problem, the apartment was filthy, and its been like pulling teeth to get anything fixed. THE ROACH PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED. I'd like to point out that failing to provide a insect free living environment is a violation of Arizona statute 9-1303. I have been as patient as possible but if this issue is not RESOLVED by the end of December, I will be hiring a lawyer.

Trustpilot0 Star communities, Rude management, worst maintenance
Is there a way to give 0 star?Very bad management.Residents are bound to over pay rent and they don't do any single work after you sign the contract since now anything happened, residents are bound to follow the rules but the leasing office is not. Would not recommend this to anyone. They just care about money. There is a high pitching sound coming out of our bathroom which by the way can be heard in the entire house and it affects our sleep. We wake up in the middle of the night and then not able to sleep. But they are not doing anything for this since it is NOT EMERGENCY according to the leasing office and maintenance. They are asking for much more in the rent but the apartment is not even worth $50.AGAIN - Would not recommend this to anyone

TrustpilotDon't live with them unless you want to get scammed!
If I could give 0 stars, I totally would. I really loved living at the M and their management team, even though our closets literally fell out of the walls, I still admired how the M team and their maintenance staff handled it. It wasn't until I moved out and they decided to charge me a $210 cleaning fee did I have a problem with them (did not charge my roommate, but given they haven't returned her security deposit...). I called them the day these charges came out and was told to email their management who can provide me the detailed responses, which was fine by me. It took me 17 days, ~10 emails, and 4 phone calls to finally reach someone, and they told me to "calm down" after I expressed my frustrations. Also, does it even make sense for me to email Greystar if it was the M team who conducted the inspection?

I've been living here for 7 years (literally the LONGEST resident). I moved in when they were FIRST built. I’ve ALWAYS paid rent on-time & been a pro, quiet, non-pet, non-smoking resident. $1800/mo 1 bedroom?! That's more than a HOUSE PAYMENT!!!!! This is UNFAIR PRACTICE and TERMS, & INFLATION! I will higher a LAWYER if this is not handled PROPERLY.
FINANCIAL COSTS:Security Deposit: I paid $1,800 Security Dep Note: Does NOT offer subsidized housing.
NEW "LOCK-LEASE" (I’m NOT on this - Thank GOD) PLAN EVERYONE will be charged the moving out: Con's: -No Central Air (other rooms, ie, both bedrooms and bathrooms besides the main living room remain hot / cold - zero airflow) -ZERO electrical outlets in large walk-in closet -ZERO outlets in laundry room (ie, for an ironing board, etc). -Garage is separate from unit and apartment -Garage VERY narrow and hard to fit into -No outside dead-bolt for added security -No extra security lock on main unit door entrance -Multiple change / High turnover in Property Manager’s (Just to name a FEW, ie, Kristy, April, Sam, Carli, Laura in a a little over 4 years) -Cheaply Built (Mention 2 diff resident’s units completely caught on fire & burnt down in the middle of the winter in the 1st 6-months, due to what I believe to be POOR / CHEAPLY BUILT CONSTRUCTION - The TOWEL RACK in EVERY unit, is literally placed / positioned / built 6” inches (from where the bottom of bath towel sits) right on top of the BASE HEATER!)
