TrustpilotIncompetent and dishonest, Swettenham's mismanagement cost us thousands.
Swettenham's Northwich took on a 6 month 'full management' contract for our home in Sandiway in Aug 2024. The tenant stole a fireplace, wooden flooring, custom made blinds from all windows, light fittings, redecorated and re-modelled, and the agent was aware of this in Nov 2024. They failed to notify us or to enforce the tenancy agreement with the tenant instead trying to convince us to sell the house to the tenant. Overall the cost to us was over 10k, a police investigation we will need to file a claim in court now too. The deposit insurance scheme paid out 2,600. We paid the agent 1500 in management fees and they are refusing to refund it all. Do not use this agent, they are incompetent and dishonest.

Google5* service from Nathan at the Frodsham branch. I originally enquired about a rental property with Nathan, which on enquiring had already been rented out, however Nathan offered to take my details and requirements and let me know if any property’s that meet our requirements should become available, Nathan was very professional and friendly on the call. Nathan then proactively called me when he knew of some properties that would soon be available and on the day they were added I called Nathan straight away and organised a viewing that same day. Both myself and my husband immediately fell in love with the property and submitted an application straight away. Nathan kept us well informed throughout the referencing and always called back when he said he would as well as following up on any questions on our behalf, and we wouldn’t hesitate to contact Nathan in future. GoogleWhat an amazing experience I had of using Swetenhams to find a rental property. Alex was fantastic and helped me to find somewhere that would be suitable. He even suggested additional properties to view alongside the one I had inquired about. Their processes are really straightforward and I signed up to their Tili support which helped me to organise all the utilities and council tax. Alex even organised my house insurance for me! Moving house is stressful enough, but using this organisation eliminated lots of that. I would most certainly recommend them to others.

GoogleSold our house in May, purchased one and expected to move in early October, unfortunately the purchase fell through in late September. We decided to rent as we didn’t want to loose our sale and saw a couple of properties, one with Swetenhams. Jenny understood our problem and organised a quick appointment to view. We agreed to go ahead and both Jenny and Katie have been excellent especially as we have been in our current house for over 35 years, so hadn’t got any relevant references, but with their help and advice, all went well and we took possession on Monday and moving in today. Trustpilot57 days without heating!
I rented a flat from Swetenhams. I was left with no heating and no cooker for 57 days! There was no means to log the issues and when I called Swetenhams associates, I was told that they would try but that "they were very busy!"
